Robert Pattinson (AKA R-Patz) tells Channel 4 News that the fame he found from the Twilight series was like being in a prison. He says now, he's in a different kind of prison, one he's decorated.

"It's a prison of your choosing," at least he is not feigning the whole "I hate fame trip." He seems like an honest, likable person. He is down to earth in a way that is rare in that lifestyle.

How I wish the minds of people did not so easily reflect their level of intelligence when trying to criticize others. Rob said everyone has some FORM of prison. That means that he was not talking about a criminal atmosphere, but one where you are not completely free to be all of who you want to be. And yes, we are all in the category of those limitations no matter if you are Robert Pattinson or the guy in prison.
Is he complaining? No. He made a statement that all of us should be able to connect to and went on to explain how he has taken as much control of 'his prison' by "decorating" it to his liking. Clearly he is not complaining, but stating how he has dealt with his own situation t make his life comfortable inside his prison.

No he's talking about incessant paparazzis that are always asking (often controversial) questions and pestering you.
Millions of dollars, millions of beautiful women wanting you, most people are so nice since you're a movie star. Sounds rough
But imagine not being able to go outside or go shopping or go to a party because people are following you and harassing you 24/7. People troll you on the Internet and you can't say anything about it because you'd look bad. You can trust anyone because some people only want to use you for money and fame. You have to constantly be on top of your outfits and the way you look. You're not allowed to say or do certain things because there's always an audience watching you you have to fly from country to country without rest because of interviews and premieres. Basically you live for others entertainment.
@@nia1388 I would take that kind of life any day. It's not for anyone. I would never mind people coming up to me asking for pictures and autographs, maybe a troll here and there if it means that I was adored by others. If I didn't want that life, I wouldn't choose it. It's not for everyone, I understand that lol but people who complain about it, just shouldn't do it. He can get a different job, no problem.
@@NMages20 He was 20 and thought he was signing up to do one movie, not five. Fans would have gone nuts if he didn't play Edward, although he dissed the books and dumb plot. It's not nice to bite the hand that feeds you. The money enabled him to shine in independent roles he does now. But back then, he couldn't leave his house and had severe anxiety problems, which he seems to have overcome. Now he is more gracious about Twilight, but is very private.
