Can't thank you enough. LOVE that you shot the video overhead (no need to transpose L or R to mirror ) and LOVE that you have chords and L, R notations. You're a very intuitive and awesome instructor. Just came across your site.
I recently got a 002A Satin Nut and I love it! Your videos are great! I am left-handed, and your earlier videos shot from the front were great for us lefties because of the mirror image effect. Now you are shooting from above, at first I could have strangled you, but now I really like them because they are teaching me to play right-handed! Keep up the good work!
Hey thanks for watching! 😁 There’s now a 260 page eBook that goes with the Cajon Method 1.1 course. It's full of easy-to-read notation, practice tips and more. If you're interested, please consider joining the class. ruclips.net/user/rosslmccallumjoin Thank you! ❤
I just got the cajon because I have to preform at a concert and as a beginner this is AMAZING! Overall I’ve gottan half of the fills except for the last two and I really can’t thank you enough. New Subscriber
SIMPLY LOVE your vids; the best idea is the angle of your camera!, but thinking i would like it a LOT better if you left the notation up. I need time to see it
Thanks for the comment! Yeah I have a lot of older videos where if I could re-edit them in ways like you suggest, then I would. It has been a process of gradual improvement on the channel overall I think. As another option available, paid members who join my channel's "Cajon Method 1.1" class, can download an eBook which has the notation for the five fills in this video. It can be useful to have a printout or a PDF while practicing. ruclips.net/user/rosslmcallumjoin
Nice basis for fills Ross...I prefer to improvise my fills like you.. using my jazz knowledge..but this is great for those learning structure of a 4/4 fill... great video 😁😁
Hey Manoj! Take a look at my channel page and see the beginner section. There’s a lot of free content and then if you’re interested in going further, there’s members content that takes it all further.
Fills are transition rhythms. Usually when you switch from a verse into the chorus of a song, you change the rhythm slightly. To make the change smoother, you play a short different rhythm before going into the new rhythm. I hope that helps!
The notation bar above you fades out too fast. Sometimes even before the whole bar has been played. Maybe just keep it up instead of fading it on and off the screen. Its helpful to get a good look at it while im playing along with you. Thanks again for the great videos.
Hey Tara, yeah I think I edited too many videos in the one day because I definitely rushed this one. I’ll sort out the sheet music a bit better on the next :-) Thanks for watching!
@@rosslmccallum hey, thanks for the reaponse!! By the way, thank you so much for putting out these videos. You have really helped take my skills to the next level!! I usually play along in a drum circle kind of scene, and ive turned my friends on to your tutorials -tara
I'd like to se tutorials of popular rock/reagge songs percussion cover on cajon. Not despacito (that song is shit), but actual good songs. CCR, Rolling Stones, Wailers, etc. Thanks a lot!
Sure is a ramp up in difficulty as you go through these. It usually takes a few times coming back to the lesson to fully master everything. Keep me posted!

Oh!!! Interesting! Yeah it's probably a bit tricky to switch but your skill leading with both left and right will be great!

@@rosslmccallum yes sir..
Great job xD. Simple basic ideas turn into badasses :P
Haha good to hear! Thanks.
Thank you very much Sir.. Is there a pdf version of notes so that we can practice using that?
I don't have one right now but you could for now, screenshot the video and print out just the part on the screen showing notation.
Its helpful 🙌
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really good and helpful! Thanks,
Gregory Peek happy I could help! Thanks for commenting.
Love these, really useful for me.
Glad to hear it, keep practicing and adding new flavour to them!

Thank you !
What cajon are you using
That one was my Sela “Dark Nut” from a little while back.
Helpful for me
Great! See you again soon.
Thank you very much. It's perfect.I think you should practice a song after training skill..My English is not good. Sory !
Thank you. Yes it’s always important to take the skill to song to make it real!
the coolest drum fill lies in number 3. I'm quite sure what we-subscribers are missing:D

❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Glad you liked this one!
The first fill sounds like Pat Boone Debby Boone with extra notes.
Yeah you're right that's the same vibe I think.
@@rosslmccallum and fill number 4 sounds like down with the sickness beat. :) Cooooool!
What is the point of speeding up for the beginners anyway?
It’s good to try multiple tempos as long as you keep it simple :-)

Mario Rondón you like Led Zeppelin? ruclips.net/video/Ze2Psld4xdk/видео.html
Can u make it slower
Hey again :-) did the RUclips playback speed setting work for you before?
fill no 4 that's hard to play
