      Hey Una, they are from “RUclips Audio Library” I chopped up loops on my sampler to make what you hear in this video but the tracks are still fun to play with from start to finish.

    Great stuff here for accompanying reggae/dub! I have always counted reggae in half time? I mean the classic guitar chops on 2 &4 with the snare drop on 3, bass drum emphasizing 1st & 3rd, counting as eighths. I don't know if this could cause any incongruities but I find it a lot easier....

      Dave Argall I’ve counted it that way too in the past. When I heard about “the one drop” meaning you don’t hit beat one, I changed how I counted it. But the feel is still the same so I didn’t notice probably!

      Thanks for the comment! Not so much. The first part is indeed RLRR. However a paradiddle would continue RLRR LRLL. It's kind of a custom hitting order that worked best for getting the constant bass as well as a shuffling ghost note rhythm together.

      Sorry but I can't. However, I believe I spent two years practicing drums with only sticks on a practice pad before I got my first second-hand drumset. Maybe you can keep it up a bit longer!

    Maybe it's just me not knowing how to read notes. Do I need to be able to read notes? I find the videos confusing because of the notes

      Hey Anri, it’s fine to just use your ears to learn (that’s all I did for years) but once you can read a little bit, remembering rhythms gets easier.
