I like riding shirts, you get the protection of a jacket, but not the typical "motor rider" look. Unfortunately, I haven't found one made for riding in hot weather (90+ F).
Bought both Revit Esmont and Belstaff Mansion, and could not be more happier with a choice, after cool review videos
Great to hear!
Thanks for your review, which shirt would you advise for a tall skinny person? Like the look of the Merlin Brody or the Porta that they do
Which one would be best suited for tropical hot weather? Thanks
Hi Ogie, we would recommend going got the John Doe Motoshirt it's made using innovative XTM fiber technology blending Aramid, Coolmax and Lycra, this western style Camel shirt is a great casual wardrobe option for spring summer days that will also deliver impressive safety standards while on the bike. - Iza
OK, that's weird, you're stalking my Internet browser aren't you, I was only looking at all the riding shirts today, and now you put this up.
What a great coincidence! :) - Iza
How well can John Doe deal with 35°c reasonable humility?
what gloves are being worn during the Revit Esmont shots? 3:00
Hi, they are the Goldtop predator gloves: www.urbanrider.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=GOLDTOP+PREDATOR+PERFORATED+GLOVES - Hope this helps! - Iza
CE rating of A just isn't enough for me, each to their own but AA minimum.
Like the John Doe a lot,,,
They are great option to consider! - Iza
Assume none of these are waterproof but are any of the fabrics treated to be somewhat water resistant? Worth mentioning somewhere in the video? Revit make a fully waterproof riding shirt - has this been updated in 2023?
Hi! I'm afraid that these shirts are not water resistant, these are fully designed for warm weather riding. - Iza
@@UrbanRiderlondon how warm can belstaff mansion go?
The Roland Sands is the only one with a sleeve gusset, do the manufactures of these motorcycle shirts not understand that people might be riding a motorcycle while wearing them?
What’s a sleeve gusset ?
The fold/crease in the upper back that allows the sleeves to move easier when you reach forward for the bars.
Thank you - that’s worth knowing
Hey Urban Riders! The John Doe Prison Shirt is so nice! I must have it 😅 And your Deus Sweater is also very very nice! Where can I get it? Nice greats from frosty Austria 🇦🇹 🤩👌
Hi! You can find the John Doe shirt here: www.urbanrider.co.uk/john-doe-xtm-prison-motoshirt-white-black.html and the selection of Deus sweaters here: www.urbanrider.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=deus+sweater . Hope this helps! - Iza
@@UrbanRiderlondon Thx 🙏 👌
So what’s more comfortable in the heat, a regular shirt with a mesh jacket or this
Hi Fee, they are both great options. it's down a personal preference of style you wish to go for. - Iza
@@UrbanRiderlondon I mean empirically which is cooler temp wise
Regular t-shirt with light mesh jacket
Surely the jacket with shirt would generally be far cooler. Way more air can just pass through it to the skin.
These shirts are pretty heavy duty!
@@Siberius- but supposedly those tight compression shirts or whatever helps your sweat become more effective at cooling you iirc. Idk, so much marketing lingo and not enough plain spoken facts and data/truth it’s tiring
Any one know a manufacturer that makes riding shirts for wide shoulders and slim waist?
Hi Kevin, we recommend looking at the Merlin Brody shirt: www.urbanrider.co.uk/merlin-brody-utility-riding-shirt-black.html - Iza
kinda surprised the Resurgence Ultra didn't make the top
Indeed it has AAA rating I th8nk
Hi Lucian, it's one of our favourites too but sadly it didn't make it to our TOP 5 this year. - Iza
I have the ultra - it is great but is more like a denim jacket than a shirt and so is a little less flexible - perhaps why it has AAA rating. It is great, but if there is one criticism it is the limited size and number of pockets, which might (again) be a function of the AAA rating. I highly recommend it if AAA rating is important, as it was for me (most of my rides include high speed runs on rural roads)
Why would you not want to be wearing a decent motorcycle jacket which offers much more protection than a poxy shirt .
Good luck in a 50+mph slide in these things, and for the price you could get a second hand leather for £150 which will save your bones more than these stupid things…. But hey, it looks casual so just go risk serious injury instead.
Oooh dedicated motorcycle shirts? How about dedicated socks too? Oh, while we're at it, why not a dedicated notebook to keep track of all the time and money spent on all other overpriced fashion accessories to look cute with your bike? You too can be a rolling billboard for these goofy brands in no time. Oh shit I almost forgot about branded stickers, gotta have those. These items are crucial to you being an authentic motorcyclist, never forget it.
Surpried Rokker did not make it. Price point perhaps?
