Interesting to see a more relaxed approach to the gear that you sell and wear. Andrew seems a very humble chap and cool with it. Keep up the good work.
@@UrbanRiderlondon *Awesome. Everyone looks cool in these get-ups. Love it. But what do you guys wear when it's warm out and you don't want to walk into a cafe with a scent that might provoke a pod of mods?*
Really interesting watch! Good to see Andrew is doing well! Should do more of these types of videos your opinion matter when referring to “motorcycle clothing & the finest riding gear”
used to run agv only for my helmets because i did tons of canyon runs at 2am with friends and needed the streamline design so i didnt get a sore neck{broke neck as a kid racing a 150f with 208 kit} now i run an hjc because dear god that airflow is a life saver in 100 deg
Excellent, personable, genuine video! I live in The States and got turned on to your company a few months ago. In all candor, it was your customer service/responsiveness, as well as your [fully] transparent, honest reviews which have made me a loyal ncustomer. Keep up the great work, and safety and good health to you both (and your team).
Great video. Great presentation . So much better than your Surrey competitors! Like the fact that you do some quirky , not so well known brands. Keep up the god work
Cool Episode ! I would love to see a video on the scrambler desert sled with a proper breakdown of the costs of ownership ... following that statement on haw it is not cheap to own.
Great video, thanks guys. Just wondering what are the brown high boots you're wearing in the still photo at 2:10 in the video? You didn't mention them but they look great. 👌
got husqvarna that has same type of moods, bad days, sounds great, rides amazing but it's so stupid that I have to do this little things that break :/ scrambler looks really nice!
Thank you very much for your personal insight and very open of you to show your house great vlog i love Urban Rider .The problem is the EU and taxes now you still have the best equipment and gear for me i really hope next year to come over and grab some stuff but i said that last year .My missus would hang me if i put my boots on the table just saying. I have the Shoei j.o merlin jacket from UR rokker jeans and Magalan & mulloy boots.
How do you attach the Go pro atachmentt to the front of the helmet. I just ordered a Go pro and am worried about it falling off. Great video by the way.
Hi. Tim is actually wearing a Belstaff Brooklands jacket at the very start of the video: www.urbanrider.co.uk/belstaff-brooklands-pro-wax-jacket-black.html Hope this helps! - Iza
Eats chains, sprockets, drinks oil. Andrew has successfully put hundreds of people off buying a Ducati Scrambler. Mind you, BMWs drink oil, as well. I don't like the Bell helmet - give me a Roof Boxer V8; Belstaff Ivy: I hope he nicked it; Urbane Pro: too tight; Rascal kecks: fantastic. I remember them being reviewed. I'd love a pair. Pando Moto: I'd rather have my Resurgence New Wave. Alpinestars books: I like them, although I prefer Tim's Icon boots. Rokker Urban Racer: get a pair of TCXs. Velomacchi gloves: they look brilliant. I wish I'd bought that backpack instead of my R25. Waterproof gloves: no need for them. I wonder how much that neck warmer is. The most enjoyable Urban Rider video yet.
Haha, thanks for the detailed feedback! Don't get me wrong; I LOVE my Desert Sled more than any previous bike. But it definitely owns ME, not the other way around! I think we'll do a detailed review of it (and other's bikes) at some point. - Andrew
and here i am thinking how often do your bikes get stolen? I have heard a lot of bad stuff from the UK regarding motorcycle theft. and you just leave the bike outside? How do you sleep?
Has Andrew shared a more detailed review of his Desert Sled anywhere? Sounds like he's spent a good amount of time living with it, would be great to hear an owner's opinion.
Hi Joshua, most of us have a set of waterproofs in our backpacks that we just throw on top when it starts to rain: www.urbanrider.co.uk/revit-acid-3-h2o-rain-trousers-black.html - Iza!
Both were from a company called Mugello, based in Thailand. At the time they only did business via Facebook messenger! Hopefully they've moved on a bit since then as their custom parts were really good, just very very difficult to source! - Andrew
I didn't realise the Bike Shed curates who can park there. That's a bit sad and not the spirit of including all. Listened to Henry Crew on Teapotone podcast about the Desert Sled, you seem to have many of the issues he had. Wouldn't want to be in some obscure country on one.
The important question of course is what looks good in the current trendy London coffee shop you will be spending most of your time sitting in while wearing your 'riding gear' rather than actually 'riding your bike'
Love your videos and looking forward to more in this style. Maybe you should do one on your hair products. Mine never looks like that after wearing my helmet. 😁
Shoei Glamster is on my bucket list too!...quick question though guys...can it be fitted with a pinlock?....fab vid....love the casual yet informative style of presentation.....whose turn is it next...Tim?..😉🤣👍
from bit sporty side, I've been rocking in shoei nxr for almost two years which is amazing, and there is new refreshed version - you should try it but it might not be your style :) shoei has amazing photosensitive visor that goes dark if there is too much sun
I imagine it's usually rainy and you mostly don't go much higher than 25°C, because of the general lack of light clothing. Forget all that leather stuff when it's 30°+ outside. Infact, i ride from may to september with moslty Dainese Air type gear, and shoes with mesh inserts - you would be literally cooking inside those leather boots. Also, textile gloves with mesh inserts. I own a couple of leather jackets and heavy touring gear, but most of the time it sits in the wardrobe. Northern Italy here. Besides, i only use Schuberth helmets now, because of the comfortable modular design, and the fact of being the most silent helmets on the market (along with Shoei Neotec).
Ha. Here’s a boss of urban rider saying he can’t justify another helmet and then there’s me with a Shei Glamster, Shoei Ex Zero, Arai Tour x4, Nexx XG100 and a Shoei Ryd. I’m an idiot. For what it’s worth though, the Glamster and the Ex Zero are awful helmets. The level of wind noise in both, even with custom ear plugs is too much. Poorly design neck roll let’s all the wind in the world rush up under your ears. Even the Ex zero which is supposed to be noisy is insanely annoying. I did a test, removed my visor from my XG100 and it is about 80% quieter. Anyhoo, your jacket costs nearly as much as my DR650 so do yourself a solid and get the helmet you want :)
Hi Paul, great feedback. We're planning a helmet / noise comparison video too. I think I'm one of the few that's not so bothered about the noise levels compared to other features of the lids. You've certainly got an impressive range; maybe you should feature in the next vid! - Andrew
Not tried the glamster but my ex zero is the best summer lid I've ever had I don't find it too noisy at all considering it's basically an open face and will quite happily sit on the motorway with it, it's really light comfortable and if it's not raining my go to helmet. The only thing I don't like is not enough room for speakers for me the matt paint scratches too easily and it looks old very quickly, gloss would be different.
I guess we’re all very different with varying sensitivities. At the same time, we’re also shaped differently, have different bikes, different airflow etc. all that comes into play but both the Glamster and the Ex zero are unacceptably loud to me
