I managed a machine shop and had a girl come in for an interview. I was dirty from working on a machine. She was rude till she found out I was the boss. It was actually funny to see how her attitude changed from smart ass to frightened little girl 😂
Dang. Reminds me of a story my dad told me when he used to work at a plant as a manager. An employee was acting like he’s ‘all that’. Telling people what to do, and stuff like that. My dad, who was seeing this, tried to speak to him, was cut off by the guy being bossy to him. My dad then asked him, “Do you know who I am?” The guy replies, “Yeah. You’re just a worker. So if I were you, I-“ “I am the manager.” My dad says to him. From what I could remember, my dad said how the guy went silent for a moment, but then said, “Oh…” Don’t know what happened after that, but that sure taught me to not be bossy to my coworkers. You’ll never know who you’re talking smack to until it’s too late. Great story by the way.

I loved the story which could be real so very much. To lose a car parking spot is not important. Live moves on. It is very important to show respect not only to the elderly but to anyone.
