  • This is what its like to live with and own the 2024 TLX Type S. They have made some changes to the TLX for 24 and it looks even better now
    Acura Is one of the last auto makers still putting in a V6 engine this sedan is quick because of that. I just wish there was a way to keep the exhaust noise on the louder setting all the time. I drove this is sport mode most of the time since the noise was the best in those modes only
    I really enjoyed living with the TLX I feel like last time I didn't get as much time as you really need to truly enjoy everything the TLX has to offer.

    Just purchased a '24 Type S. I have owned an '01 TL and still have an '06 TL with 174K that has been a very reliable vehicle for 18 years.
    After only 3 weeks of ownership with the '24 Type S, I am very satisfied so far with the purchase. It is solid, exhilarating as hell and quite luxurious and smooth for a sports sedan. I didn't purchase it to race around a track, beat a BMW M340i in a race or see how loud the quad exhausts are. My point is that while this, and many other reviews are very good (and I appreciate the time you have put into your review of the car) any owner of this car must judge it for personal satisfaction in an everyday driving environment - like driving in cities and highways 😄. With that in mind, it's been a really nice and very cool car to drive - and a blast to have fun with it every once in awhile!
    As for the infotainment screen. Everyone (with just a few exceptions) seems to dislike the trackpad. I agree that I like a touchpad too - but you know what? After only 3 or 4 one hour sessions playing around with it in the garage, it is fairly easy to use. And I actually like it. I don't have to lean forward, I don't have to move my head or my arm. I only have to move my wrist and 2 fingers. It's actually very relaxing to use - once you learn it. Anyhow, everyone is entitled to their opinions but after a little practice, it's really not that bad to use.
    Thanks again for the review. And for anyone considering the Type S - a big thumbs up so far!

      How's the cabin noise in your 2024 TLX-S ? I know 2024 TLX-A Spec made big sound-deadening upgrades. I'm talking about things like thicker carpets, acoustic glass, etc.

      I'm very content with the cabin noise and the ride. I did upgrade to the custom Type S mats which are a little thicker so they might help deaden noise a little bit more but overall, I am impressed with the quietness and ride quality for such a quick, sporty car. Perfect blend between luxury and high performance.

    I have a 23 TYPE S WITH THE WHEEL AND TIRE PERFORMANCE AND ILL SAY THIS. Is it a BMW M340i? No however doesn’t fall short for what it is. Do I believe it should’ve had at least 400HP? 100% but that said, this car with 355HP all-wheel drive turbo and all the extra things like quad exhaust, front splitter, etc; I think this is a phenomenal car all around. There’s always better in the market so I don’t fall victim to that mindset. I just appreciate it for what it is.

      How many mpgs you get? Any reliability issues and chance of tire flat

    • @francysantos1916
      @francysantos1916 12 дней назад

      @@faisalk379I’ll be honest. I bought the car in January and it only has about 1400 miles. That said, when you buy a car like this unfortunately the mpg’s arent going to be the best. It’s decent. As far as reliability. ZERO complaints and I have the perf. Wheel and tire pack and ZERO complaints. I did purchase the insurance for them just incase but overall, the reliability is 100% there and that’s one thing I most definitely appreciate. I don’t drive it worrying about tires or some mechanical issues.

    Been a fan of Type R and Type S Acuras and Hondas since the 90s. Every time something nice comes up, I am no where near the market for one. At first, they were too expensive. Then, they were not available. Now it's not practical. I'll have to wait until the kiddos leave the house and they will probably not be available again.

      These car prices are way too high nowadays! I can’t afford them either!

      You always have the Honolulu view though. I would have to have a convertible as the daily though over there. 12 to 15yr old me lived in Kailua. A bike did me justice back then.

    For the cold start. Was the car left in sport mode. i will think is too loud and neighbors will hate it. I hope it has a way to control that.
