I've seen videos of Miata winter driving and with good tires and the LSD, it looks pretty good. I'm an old dude who, in the 70's had a Fiat 124 Spider, a few Alfas, a 911 and XJ 12 -- all rear-wheel drive and I managed very well, if a bit scary, during Montreal winters. Thanks again for a great review.
I owned both a 1991 and a 1990 Miata, NA6. Miata's of all generations are wonderful driver focused cars. I haven't ever driven the ND platform Miata's, but they seem to appear to me, to be a call-back to what made the NA and NB such popular fun cars. The NC had that bigger engine and from what I hear less sporty suspension, so it's really wonderful to see the ND be a return to form. Also, it just has to be said, ND interiors are so nice, the flip up screen is super cool, and I love any car with knobs for climate control, not a screen. I am a person who would always rather own the NA and maybe NB (hard to say I would, love the pop ups too much), but the ND is one of the only modern cars I would truly consider. That and the 86, but even then, the Miata just seems more up my ally. 400Z looks cool.
It’s still a lot of fun to drive the automatic so drive one and see. I’ve owned both in past and currently own a manual, but would buy an automatic to get a more stress free feel with in hilly environment. I have the RF now but would consider a soft top again to get a more open feel in true convertible fashion.
Do you feel~limited vision as far as Blind spots? I'm on the fence regarding choice. I have the old 2010 and yes...they are rather nimble and quick~ fun fun fun! All mx5.
A little bit yes on the drivers side I had to kind of lean to make sure nothing was there but it is something I got used to and for me not something that would keep me from buying one
Question - I see you have the club with Brembo brakes. I thought the RF with that package only came with Recaro seats. I’ve tried to build one with the club and regular leather seats.
@@ManuNarangThis the perfect trim for me... as Intested the same car with Recaro seats and wasn't comfortable for myself. Unfortunately here in EU they don't offer such trim with Nappa leather seat and sport package.
It does feel “connected” or like an extension of your body, since it’s so small and nimble. To me it’s as much fun as much more expensive sports cars like the Porsche Boxster or BMW Z4. With the manual you get the best driving experience but the automatic is still great with less stress.
What a pathetic review...left out the important features like engine 🙄...didn't even look under the bonnet or mention engine specs, nor was suspension mentioned. Reviewer felt a look in the rear trunk was more important. If I heard the colour red mentioned again I felt like screaming. What was "technical" about the review? Not much.
If the title doesn’t say Review then it’s not a review this is simply living with the vehicle for a week. All engine specs and everything else is included in my official review.
god never thought i would want red car but shit what a beauty
Still one of the best Red's ive seen this year
The color is BEAUTIFUL!
One of the best red's I have seen yet

Have a 23 rf. At first the blind spot is noticeable... but I quickly adjusted to it.
The blind spots on the rf are horrible but the blind spot detectors are actually amazing. Some of the best I've experienced in a car
@@TripedalTroductions Thnx!~
That combo is not offered here in the U.S., I believe.
It is not unfortunately! Would be nice if everyone could get this spec!
awesome specd car too
The Canadian Spec is a good one!
Omg that's the spect that I want but can't get it in the US... Why!!!!!
too bad US can't get this color combo
A rare time Canada gets something the US doesn't
Did you register the car in Quebec but live in Ontario? I heard people doing that to get around the need for a front plate.
Press Car from Mazda Canada so they register it in Ontario but ship them to QC
Don't you have storages behind the seats ?
I want this car sooo much !!!
RF has a small storage bin behind passenger. Regular has small storage bin behind both seats.
@@JohnNick72 Okay thanks !
For a daily, recap to seats or no? I’m in love with the tan seats, but are recaro more comfortable for daily. I’m 183 cm and a bit chubby.
Trust me, the Recaro seat is less comfortable, and getting in and out of the car is more difficult.
For pure comfort id say normal seats are good but for the more sporty feel and look it would go with the Recaro's
who is this car for?
For people who love to drive. (And can fit inside).
@@WhatisaLee perfect answer 👌🏻

This is in Canada, so the trims are a little different. You can get the BBS wheels and Brembo brakes without the Recaro seats in the GT trim
@@ManuNaranggotcha. Great for you guys. It looks awesome. - do you find the wind buffeting to be really excessive.
@@chattingwithshap8010 funny, I have the GT and want the Recaro seats. Let's meet at the border and do a seat swap lol

You don’t need the extra performance options like the BBS package. The base is best for fun at most affordable price.
The SNAKE FANG LED day time running lights “ will be missed , black caps replaced, look - tacky ,
How tall are you? Im 185 you think I would fit nicely there?
I am 180CM and I had to put the seat all the way back and I was ok so it might be a little tighter for you but you should still fit I think!
I'm 220 and 5"10. I fit just fine in one. The seats hold you in quite well. In a few years. I will be buying one.
Recaros felt to hard or a bit stiff. The standard leather seats in the GT felt better to me.

I don't like this red at all, I much prefer the classic red.
Had the identical model since May.My UK model had the black Recaro's and a blck interior. That interior is shit to say the least you borrowed.

Why so much hate. Just another reviewer that is totally in love with this car.
