Great Value Sedan | 2024 Hyundai Sonata Preferred AWD | POV Review
Hyundai have done it again and completely re-designed the Sonata it looks so much different from the previous generations. It competes with Honda Accord and the Nissan Altima.
Hyundai could have given this a whole different name and most people would have not even noticed it was a re done Sonata that is how different I think this thing looks. I do think its an improvement but having owned a 2020 Sonata for the last 4 years I do still think the old model looks good in its own way. We now have those Robocop daytime running LED's which now put the Sonata inline with the Hyundai and Kona which also have the same LED's.

Living With The 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale Veloce

This is what its like to live with and own a 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale. This is the fully gas powered version that is available in Canada. The Subcompact Tonale is the entry level into the brand. There aren't many who like the new Tonale's design. I do enjoy the way it looks I think its better looking than the Dodge Hornet which is based off the same platform. The Tonale comes available in PHEV or...

This week I spent my time behind the wheel of the fully gas powered Alfa Romeo Tonale. Its base on the same platform as the Dodge Hornet. Other cars that it competes with is the BMW X2 and the Mercedes GLB. When it comes to design the Tonale looks like any other Alfa Romeo out there. For me the Tonale looks better than the Hornet. from the outside the gas version doesn't look any different from...

This is what its like to live with and own a 2024 Honda Civic SI The Civic SI is Honda's affordable fun car with its 6 speed manual only having 200HP doesn't matter at all. The SI feels fast and it also handles pretty well. In Canada we also get heats front and rear seats as well as a heated steering wheel if you buy an SI in the USA you won't get those things. This week I spent my time behind the wheel of the 2024 Honda Civic SI. It competes with the VW Golf GTI and the Subaru WRX. The Civic SI has to be the best looking Civic without going for the full Type R which would be way more expensive. Its also got a great 6 speed manual transmission with rev match downshifting for those who aren't quite there yet with heel and toe downshifting. We also get ...

This is what its like to live with and own a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy. It competes with the Mazda CX-90 and the Kia Telluride. Hyundai have done it again and took an aging platform and made it look brand new. There is H everywhere on this thing. It also looks pretty close to a Land Rover Defender. I was able to look at this from a family use point of view I have so much space in the ba...

The all new Hyundai Santa Fe competes with other SUV's such as the Kia Telluride and the Mazda CX-90. It might be the best look among the bunch. The Santa Fe has had a massive overhaul in typical Hyundai fashion it looks nothing like the 2023 Santa Fe. The good news and the Santa Fe is even better looking and even more equipped than ever before. We have the letter H everywhere on this SUV the C...

This is what its like to live with and own the 2024 TLX Type S. They have made some changes to the TLX for 24 and it looks even better now Acura Is one of the last auto makers still putting in a V6 engine this sedan is quick because of that. The TLX has had a slight re design for 2024 and I think it might have become even better. The changes aren't massive but to me it looks better than the 2023 TLX. After driving the 23 TLX I knew I had to try and get my hands on the 24 version and even thought the changes are not massive the TLX looks way better now. On the outside we see a new sharper looking front grille and they have also hid ...

This week I have been behind the wheel of this massive 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X AEV. Just like its size and its name this Sierra has a big price point as well coming in at over $136,000 Do you think its worth it? The 2024 Cadillac XT4 has had some big improvements. It looks a lot different for the Cadillac XT5 that I showed you last year. It looks like the borrowed so design elements from the Escalade. This is what its like to own and live with the 2024 Genesis GV70 Electrified. This is what you get when you blend luxury and performance. I had a very comfortable week with the GV70. I tend to prefer EVs that look like regular cars but this one is definitely a lot faster than its gas version. The wh...

Overprized. SI's in my area are 40k cdn. Thats GTI pricing. 4k more and you got a WRX with almost 1/3 more HP.
Got my 24’ SI about 2 weeks ago. Started learning manual end of May. It is absolutely awesome!
once you go manual, you'll wonder why they're getting rid of em.
I have just bought this car and it is a beautiful motor lovely to drive .In side is just luxury love the massaging seats .I would definitely recommend the volvo xc60 .
I had one of these, 2022 blazing orange.. love this car. Had to sell it because i only really use it to get to stores near me(10 min drives) and the oil dilution was absolutely off the charts horrific. Dip stick would drip gasoline 1k post oil change.... Hope Honda figures this out
Those 1.5L engines are a disaster.
All seasons aren't allowed in Quebec? Why not?
I’ve honestly never seen a manual car that shows the gear you are in on the display..
🤌

Nice car❤
Nice car! G70 review?
As an Alfa Holic, this is a pretty good vehicle.Alfa needs a good Sports Car to head the Alfa Romeo sales. Alfa Romeo has been having god reviews as far as reliability issues recently,so no need to worry.
Please do your research before posting videos. People like me prefer facts. The noise is the electric power steering pump that runs during electric mode.
I bought an Alfa Romeo Tonale Sprint model PHEV ( the base model, not the dolled up, expensive Veloce model, which is more readily available, as for every Sprint model Alfa imported, they imported 9 Veloces ) almost a year ago. I was the first one to buy one in Canada, and basically bought it off the truck. I paid less then MSRP, and got it less then what a Ford Escape PHEV ( which at the time had a dealer mark up of $3,500, and add ons like $3,500 for Ford's Blue Cruise ) was going for, and where a RAV4 Prime ( basically the same price without add ons ) was ( and still is ) unavailable, and a 2 year old used Prime was selling for $14,000 more then my out the door price. Other then 9 recalls ( 2 for decals that did not have metric or French on them, that I did myself, 3 for checking high voltage connections were tight, no parts needed, 1 to replace a switch, and 3 for software updates, because where I live the vehicle would not update itself ) I have had zero problems with it, everything is operating above my expectations, and I am getting better electrical range and gas mileage then stated on the Vehicle MSRP sheet. It handles great, looks much nicer then its competition ( I compared the Sprint model against the Escape and Prime, where most reviewers, etc., compare the Veloce model that they are given by the dealers against the BMW X1 or Mercedes GLA, etc. which to me is not a fair comparison, especially a PHEV to a non PVEV ). It is not perfect, just like every vehicle in certain aspects, but I love it, love driving it, glad I bought it rather then any of the half dozen or so other PHEVS I test drove, and I would buy it again. And, it fits nicely in my garage. All new vehicles have there problems, and mine did too, but the dealership I bought mine from, bent over backwards to accommodate me with the recalls, offered me a loaner while my vehicle was being serviced, and Alfa has resolved every issue with my vehicle, some well documented. I cannot say I would have gotten the same treatment from any other manufacturer. Maybe I am lucky with my vehicle, but my whole experience, from buying it through to service, driving, etc., could not have been simpler, easier, stress free, and satisfying.
When Alfa returned to our shores, I got really excited (I had 2 GTV's in the 70's, and yes, I'm an old dude) I drove a Giulia, which I found really great despite the brevity of the drive. But the one that really made me silly nuts was the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. I must've watched every review in multiple languages you can imagine. Having insufficient $ to purchase one, I never asked for a test drive. Years go by and Loto Quebec doesn't come through. That said, when the Tonale was announced, I really anticipated something extraordinary. Didn't happen. Design-wise, the details are nice but the stance sucks. This car has zero rizz. Sorry. Thanks for an excellent review. Good luck in building your channel.
I love this car
I love it .Ive own several cars/suv this is the best one I’ve own
Great review. Did something happen to the system when you tried to get in the first time?
I'm watching this again because yesterday, after not seeing one for years, I ended up next to a coupe on Pine from Peel to Cedar. I swear, it took my breath away! The guy didn't give me much audio but the beauty and stance of the car speak very, very loud! Please Loto...give this old dude a break! Thanks again for the virtual taste. Have a great summer
love my Si but you're the first person who thinks the clutch bite point is easy to feel on that thing :D
Great video!
Try the lc500 next
I would love nothing more than to convince Lexus to let me take that out for a week!
How does the all-wheel-drive on these compared to Subaru?
i just got a civic si on 06/15/24 because my 2017 honda civic hatchback sport was having a/c issues that needed a part that was gonna cost 4k to do including labor and thats close to what 3 other locations were telling me the same thing, good thing was i didn't pay for diagnostic since the last 2 told me to check with my honda dealer for warranty. thats where my service rep said after the tech narrowed it down to the problem he recommended me a temp fix and try to sell or trade it in if i didnt want to pay 4k for a/c on a 7 year old car that i still was making payments on like 4,550k was left on the loan. problems my 2017 civic had was rear suspension making noise , front bumper damage from deer, side gas cap dent , windows chips , exhaust squealing from loose bolts which were tighten before and the car needed a deep clean from hand stains on the handles and daily wear n tear. my car value from kelly blue book with 124k miles on it was 7-8k and that wasn't with the problems listed above so when i traded it there at honda for the si they gave me 9k for my car and supposedly no tax fees since trade in but i did see those on paper which im ticked off about. ive had that car since my birthday of 2021 and was my first car so it was hard to let go and made me feel sick to the stomache the next day when i no longer had that car and now im paying another loan for an si lol. the SI is my first manual and i did drive a car before so i was familiar and a motorcycle for 6 years so it was just a refresher but man oh man did i forget it was gonna be my daily driver .....not only daily driver but im a IT tech who drives to peoples house in downtown! rip me man i wish these cars had paddle shifters!
A manual in traffic can be brutal! Hopefully you get to keep this Si running for a long time!
@@technicallycars sheeesh ima bout to trade that John in for an automatic
@@Kev_Llmfaoo what a whimp
It's totally fine if you're not really used to Manual or you might not Know how to drive Manual at all. However They say if you consistently and continually train yourself which might be the key, your whole entire self being used to it will later on hit you in the spot in an informative way.
Got more manuals on the way and I can’t wait to get more practice in!
I appreciate the boxy design, but the amount of cheap plastic around the outside is a turnoff. The center console sticks out and is much higher than the Telluride. Wheel options are terrible too. Hyundai needs a better finishing design team.
Gorgeous vehicle! All class and styling 100%!
Hybrid calligraphy is superior to regular calligraphy. Regular gas engines have been reported to have bad transmissions.
Hybrid is the way to go now it seems!
Nice..I learned to drive manual in my first car I ever purchased with my own money..an 06 acura rsx type s…it was 15k with relatively low miles back in 09..just saw the same car on eBay going for 21k today with double the miles
What size/model snow tires do you have on that? They look good. And you just kept the stock rims, or are you using rims for summer and different for winter. Thanks
Been a fan of Type R and Type S Acuras and Hondas since the 90s. Every time something nice comes up, I am no where near the market for one. At first, they were too expensive. Then, they were not available. Now it's not practical. I'll have to wait until the kiddos leave the house and they will probably not be available again.
These car prices are way too high nowadays! I can’t afford them either!
THIS IS NOT THE BEST CIVIC. The 10th gen is, and like the user up there said, the Canadian version is great. We paying $30k with half the tech missing. Mine was $23k otd back in 2018, now this shit out the door with markup is $38k... For absolutely nothing.
For $38k I expect heated seats, steering wheel, sunroof, air vents in the rear, USB chargers all over, AWD, 275hp minimum, leather seats, Harmon kardon sound system, all the safety tech, more head space etc.... this shit worth $15k max.
I’m appreciating the boxy exterior, it means more room and functionality inside. I’ve been starting to see them out and about and they look even better to me in person. Honda and Toyota designers could learn some things in regards to design and features from Hyundai and Kia as they are lacking IMO. We have a Honda and have had several so not hating on Honda but have also now owned a Hyundai and 2 Kia’s and enjoying the extra features and interior design.
Hyundai/kia have been doing a great job design wise lately!
nice colour but everyone and their dog has it. I opted for polymetal grey to stand out haha. It's a dark blue in the shade/dark and a silver/grey in the sun with lots of beautiful undertones. Enjoy!
What colour is this one?
Why is it blinking like that bc Iam thinking to getting one but I couldn't do it if it's blinking like that I would like to use my GPS !
In person you won’t see that it’s just the refresh rate of the camera!
during night snowfall, are the headlights effective? are they covered by snow?
For me they were effective!
Front end is a train wreck. Rear end looks like a sad first gen Geo Metro crossed with the Family Truckster.
The regualar Aspec model is also amazing...I prefer the touchpad and like it
A-spec a great choice as well if I can get my hands on one I’ll make a video!
The canadian version is great, US spec not so much...
I always find it strange when Canada gets something the US doesn’t!
37k for a 200hp car…..
And it has a bunch of downgrades to the older models. Exterior looks great, but no heated seats and a bunch of other stuff is gone
Go to us its29
Having owned previous generations Santa Fe, I must say this really looks horrible. Looks like a Dodge MY05. Terrible! Would never consider this car purely because of its looks.
they stated this was designed for non santa fe owners. they want new owners. they don’t care about u old ones. also this is way better than the previous models
The bucket seats reminds me of ep3 honda civic
Loved the bucket seats!
Just purchased a '24 Type S. I have owned an '01 TL and still have an '06 TL with 174K that has been a very reliable vehicle for 18 years. After only 3 weeks of ownership with the '24 Type S, I am very satisfied so far with the purchase. It is solid, exhilarating as hell and quite luxurious and smooth for a sports sedan. I didn't purchase it to race around a track, beat a BMW M340i in a race or see how loud the quad exhausts are. My point is that while this, and many other reviews are very good (and I appreciate the time you have put into your review of the car) any owner of this car must judge it for personal satisfaction in an everyday driving environment - like driving in cities and highways 😄. With that in mind, it's been a really nice and very cool car to drive - and a blast to have fun with it every once in awhile! As for the infotainment screen. Everyone (with just a few exceptions) seems to dislike the trackpad. I agree that I like a touchpad too - but you know what? After only 3 or 4 one hour sessions playing around with it in the garage, it is fairly easy to use. And I actually like it. I don't have to lean forward, I don't have to move my head or my arm. I only have to move my wrist and 2 fingers. It's actually very relaxing to use - once you learn it. Anyhow, everyone is entitled to their opinions but after a little practice, it's really not that bad to use. Thanks again for the review. And for anyone considering the Type S - a big thumbs up so far!
I got me the 2023 Honda civic sport touring hatchback in purple 💜
I dont understand when people say kia is,much affordable. In toronto, Sportage24 hybrid with some updates costs 56000 cad. Toyota rav4 hybrid is 60000cad, so they are close.
Try stopping at stop sign. You lose respect.
👏👏👏👏
i got a 22 type S installed a HpS intake 370hp+ good enough
Nice! Can’t complain when you can get more HP!
Dealership in Honolulu hasn’t had ANY TLX for awhile. Much less Type S. and I want one 😢
Blame the launch of the zdx. They temporarily put production on hold for the zdx
You always have the Honolulu view though. I would have to have a convertible as the daily though over there. 12 to 15yr old me lived in Kailua. A bike did me justice back then.
