Great video Stan, it was nice meeting you guys, hopefully we'll see you in West Michigan again sometime. A lot of the questions and concerns people have in their comments seem to be the same in all the videos that are posted, best thing to do for potential customers is check out the website and other social media posts to see it in action on different types of snow and surfaces. After years of research and development this set up and design is what works best in our area where we move a massive amount of snow in a short amount of time. Another thing to keep in mind is that theses back blades are are very customizable, don't be afraid to call or email with questions about how they can be built for your specific needs.
That was awesome, thanks for hanging and letting me test it out. Those guys were definitely cool. Great product and concept.
Leaving Liz out in the cold LOL
Cooper ST MAXX
been running them for 15 years
Any spray bar attachment? It would be sweet to spray deicer behind if u wanted. The weight would be crazy in the back end with a tank plus that hydro pump and blade...
I lived in west Michigan for 3 years. The snow is pretty crazy at times. Great to see Brian & Liz in your video!
I bet! 👍
If you don't mind me asking What part of Michigan my wife and I have grown up in Michigan but we moved to Phoenix Arizona we are going to coming to Michigan February or March to visit family and friends so everyone can see our new born baby He was born Monday October 22nd 2018 4:38p 9lbs 4oz 20 inches long he will be a month old Thanksgiving November 22nd 2018 4:38pm we have family in Niles Michigan Battle Creek Michigan Baldwin Michigan and Kalamazoo Michigan and our next vacation will be to Telahoma Tennessee Coffee country I want to move back to Michigan or Tennessee
I've lived in west Michigan all my life but the snow here isnt as crazy as in Syracuse NY
Don't think because you live in an are that do snow a lot this thing will be good for you' this thing is a disaster its good only in open area and don't try on deep snow and you look out for taking a parked car with you sometime , imagine 16-18" snow you pulling a mountain of snow and you pushing the truck into no traction just think of it , and if you are doing a dirt road god forbid you grab a stone .
@@matthewclark263 what part of Michigan my wife and I are from Battle Creek Michigan
West Mi winters can be brutal. Having a pull blade and being able to drive forwards is nice. Love dirt monkey and the video's keep them coming. And all those haters talking stuff about those type of snow blades just have never tried one.
You can't go wrong with Michelin Tires. They good quality last awhile. had a set of Michelin Tires on our last truck " 02 yukon danali" those damn things had like 75,000miles on them. That truck an those tires- that combo /even with super bald tires, I was still pulling people out of ditches or up hills,or thru deep snow, One year when we got like a 6-8" snow fall. Was beastly. Also can't go wrong with a very well known, reputable make. With good warranty. Known not only for quality materials, but for a really good all terrain/snow tire. Good traction, but the tread keeps clean from snow buildup.
I live where the lake effect falls...nope, it's no joke. We can get a foot of snow while my Mom who lives just 13 miles east of us will get an inch. Living the dream in a snow-globe!! Fantastic plow! Gonna pass this on to my son, the plow guy!! 😎
Thanks for the video Stan.
They really shine on truck docks and ramps.
Congrats on 122K!!
Extremely & Efficiently Inpressive. It's on my list for next winter!!!!
Thanks for viewing Timothy !
AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!
😀👍
I have the Cooper Discoverer AT-3 tires on my truck and they are awesome! They are all season, all terrain and deflect water in the tread and leave a nice tread print in mud or snow. 10/10 would definitely buy them again
Tim Gring I was going to say copper tires. But I have the ST Maxx and I prefer those over the AT3 it's a cross in between that tire and their mud tire and so far in snow sand mud they have done great for me
I have goodyear wrangler duratracs on my truck. I love them. Great in the snow, and good for daily driving too. In my area all the plow trucks run the duratracs or the BF Goodrich KO2s
I also live in Minnesota,
North West to be more specific.
I have a 2001 F-250 gas and a Hinicker V plow.
I must say that I am impressed.
And with that being said, I am now a new subscriber.
Ring that bell.
I did.
Im from Michigan. A friend of ours came up with the original version swing wing. We have been using these for about 10 years. That version looks great. Cant believe Boss didnt test there version here where we already know what they need to be.
That's cool Harry, thanks for watching !
Nice to know they're in my hometown. Sure will be stopping it the stop when I'm home next week!
Very cool stuff Stanley! Never seen that before.
Thank you , glad you saw something new!
I run Goodyear duratracs favorite tire hands down great quality great traction on ANYTHING and tow great. Also have insane tread life for that style of a tire and very quiet
Looks like a great product!
I am from Michigan but I live on east side state but never see anyone use pull plow yet,, LOOK SO COOL..
Freaking awesome video Stan your videos are getting more and more entertaining!
Glad you like em! Thanks 👍
I love it too and I am going to build one for my truck! With a little added bonus. to blow the snow I collect! and this is the best part! Built for pennies in the dollar...
Awesome Vern, thanks for watching !
That is one badass plow to have on the back of your truck.. In house built tough.
Cool to see the owner involved in the fabrication process and mounting of the plow rather then behind a desk in an office.
Been watching all your snow videos lately for some reason. Great job on your personality and video skills man. I live in California and am hooked on your videos ..thanks for the videos man.
Awsome video Stan! was a pleasure meeting you and be filmed while we installed it.
Ya we are really interested in these plows. they look like they can handle themselves just fine.
Awesome, I love to hear that "American made" we should support more companies like this.
Thanks Jessie and thanks for watching !
Awesome pull plow, wish we got enough snow out here too justify one of these things!
This is the first i've ever heard of this! It'd be great for my car lot! BTW, i use Cooper Discoverer M&S for plowing in eastern Canada.
Great channel!!
Thanks so much and glad you like the channel!
Been around for over 2 decades. THis and other videos mis represent this equipment as new invention. I would have a truck with out..
Syracuse, New York's average snowfall of 123.8 inches, or nearly 10 feet per year. In 1993 we had 192"
i love that 3 receiver hitch.. there could be a lot of interesting uses for it when not plowing.
THAT WAS SO COOL TO SEE
Thanks, glad you liked it !
We are in Cleveland, OH and would love to get one these pull plows. Great video! EXCELLENT video host and it also looks like it's an EXCELLENT product, as well.
Really appreciate that and thanks for viewing !!
Lol welcome to West Michigan. Nothing better than going to bed and waking up with sometimes 2 feet of snow!
Awesome, thanks for another awesome and informative video
We call them expanding backblades here in Grand Rapids...lol
Glad you had some fun here in Michigan
😀👍
Hold on is it just me or when he said "this ones going on my truck" it was a BOSS plow
I’m a west Michigander. Recognized the lot you were plowing. Pretty sweet 😂
Looks good, every plow has its pros and cons, would be nice to see one where the entire blade angles left and right just see how it would work for plowing roads and long driveways. Also could get yourself stuck if you get too much heavy wet snow piled between the truck and blade.👍
I'll keep that in mind, thanks for sharing
Got damn that thing is awesome!
West Michigander here: BFG AT KO's. Had these on my Diesel F-250. Loved them. Tried Hankook... they didn't have the traction my old BFG' did... It came with Bridgestone highway tires. They were not that great in rain, it was almost scary. Stick with the BFG's or Firestone Destinations
That’s awesome!
😀
Great video. Keep these type coming.
Will do Chris, thanks for viewing !
I watch the ads for you, so ya know. Loving the videos!
Really appreciate it Jason, thanks !
Best plow tires I've found over the last 20 years are Mastercraft Courser MSR which have tons of lugs & sipes
I've been waiting for this video. I follow Brian's channel as well. From an area not too far south of there. Cool video!
I love the video Stan. I plow over by you and I know Thomas. I hope to see this new pull plow in action very soon.
You will 👍
I run the Cooper Discoverer M+S Studded snow tires on my 2016 GMC 2500. You can still safely drive the speed limit with 6 inches of snow on the ground, they wear like iron my Dad has 7 years and about 20,000 miles on his and they still have about 3/4 of the tread left. I can't say enough good things about these tires.
Cool guy thanks for the video
Thanks Amby
Wow, that was awesome. I have never seen one of those !!
👍
michigan been at it for 20 years.. :)
That dude at 10:08 has alot of faith in the middle of that table lol
But from Michigan these guys are awesome
Hi Stan,
Would you please consider doing a video covering “how to get started in excavation”. Further expanding on the education, certification and/or licensing requirements to do so.
Also, would you consider covering further education/certifications that would take a landscaping company to the next level.
Thank you for you time and consideration
Ryan
Where in Michigan were you? I live in the Muskegon area and have almost my whole life. The winters lately are nothing like they used to be. I remember where we got slammed with blizzards day after day for sometimes weeks on end. Now, we're lucky to see one or two really bad snow storms a winter. Whoever stole our winter....WE WANT IT BACK!!!!
OMG!!!! I just googled Short Iron Fab. and it is right around the corner from where we used to live!!!! LITERALLY!!! We lived less than a mile from there for about 14 years!!!
I was wondering about when this was going too be on your channel, how is it at night,do they have lights etc
Welcome to lake affect snow I always love hearing about people that say they get a lot of snow and get more snow here and they got more snow there but none of them get Lake Effect they may get more snow than us at one time like an over night thing but we get twice as much as that over a stretched length of time weeks and weeks day by day it actually gets frustrating how much snow we can get over the winter month's
That would make for a long winter I'm sure! Thanks for watching !
Lake effect snow here in michigan effects pretty much 30-40miles from the lake, after that it tapers off a bit.
We get 3 Lake storms here in upstate NY. The good ones start over Lake Superior, come across Huron Bay the Lake Ontario. Redfield NY, in one storm, got over 6 feet inn less than 24 hours this winter. I think that pull plow would be a bit over taxed in those parts.
This type of blade works well in Lake Effect snow belts. In these regions, people are so used to snow, that it doesnt matter whether the ground is scraped clean after every snow fall, its just their way of life, all winter long seeing snow on ground. Here is Southern Ontario ( greater Toronto area) we would lose a contract over night if that parking lot is not "july" clean with 36 hours.....The Pull Plows have their place, Just not where I live. I would never get my lots clean enough with one of those.
lol I'm on Georgian bay also, we have had a few feet here in the last few days. The advantage I see here for you as business owner is. This machine will move the light powder off the top in large amounts. You could then go back a second time with your front for that finish scrape. I wonder if there is a dealer that would let you test drive it.
Here in Cleveland the lake effect can be a nightmare especially in the snow belt gets 200 in a year sometimes
salt shortage?
love it. beefier components and construction. my kind of people too ✊🏼✊🏽
👍
Thanks for the video. I seen something similar a long time ago but nothing like this one. It was one piece and only as wide as the truck. This one is a lot nicer. i always wondered if it was better or not. Now I know. Thanks a lot. I see a lot of people plowing here in the Chicago area and am going to turn them onto these videos to show them the plow. Cool channel too. I really like the videos you do. I subbed from the first one I watched. Thank you.
Thank you very much ! Happy you like the videos
Great stuff
Looks like i got a late Christmas Present to order for Myself for sure ..........Bad Ass Stan / Pull Plow
Bad-ass blade for sure.
Agreed 👍
Like seeing people make it big
Thank you for viewing !
I run Nitto Ridgegrapplers on my 250 and so far they are great.
Tires my 1st set I am a Minnesota Falcon while peak a T3 w Every review I've read from Minnesota to New York 5 star ratings across-the-board Discount tire had the best price
I saw this when u went to visit that guy and let him try it on his driveway
Stan you should look up the snow vac it’s made in Pennsylvania it’s a truck mounted snow blower that goes on a plow frame.
Nokian.. top notch winter tires.. no joke the best I’ve used. I get farther in my rwd sports car than a lot of 4x4 trucks!
Tires- I have 2 plow trucks a Chevy 3500 and an older F-350 and the tires I use on both of them are Kenda Kr-29 10 ply tires. Both trucks have 8 foot straight blades with wings and I have 500 lb concrete ballast blocks in the back of each truck. The tires are a bit noisy but not obnoxiously. Before I used to use Cooper M+S tires and I liked them but they wore fast. The Kenda's seem to wear great and I plow 90% of the time in 2 wheel drive now. I have had the Kenda's on my 01 F-350 for going 4 years now and right around 25,000 miles, I would be willing to bet they have at least another 20,000 miles left in them
Hudsonville Michigan here 15 mikns put side of grand rapids we have some crazy snow fall here last storm we had dropped 14 inches of snow here but all the snow has melted warming up now where in flooding
I'm from Minnesota and haven't seen one yet tbh I think they would have a great business to spread out to the snow states
yall are 2 decades behind in the technology of snow removal. lets say for example, you are 30 years old. You were in 4th grade when we started moving swaths like this. so if you are 60 years old, Jager was going through his 6th divorce
This system helps a lot on the front end doesn’t kick its ass as much? Thank you for your time by the way
Those Toyo Open Country tires are made right here in GA. I work for Toyo Tires North America were we also make our Nitto tires too. I have done got a bunch of my friends our tires and still buying more sets.
WAY TO COOL
out here in the pacific north west where I'm at we get around 118 plus inch of snow last year was almost 200 inch I run the toyo m-55 tires they work great that plow looks awesome
👍
That was cool
Thank you !!
This is what dreams are built on.
Come check out the Auburn and Syracuse area of Central New York if you want to see a lot of Lake Effect snow fall consistently! Very similar to Michigan in terms of the Lake Effect snow but off of Lakes Erie and Ontario. Though this year it has been a warmer winter so not as much snow.
Hell yeah another bad ass video them are some great dude up there in Michigan man and one hell of a product big thumbs up brothaa👊👊👍👍🤙🤙 I remember back in the day when we used to do a little snow😜😜😜
AWESOME
Michigander here. Right on the lake.
I actually stay in like 15 minutes away from that shop. Didn't even realize until I looked them up
So, I'm curious as to how you feel about it now? after a year to compare, how is it in regards to Boss or Western?
I use toyo at2 they have been on my cummins dodge ram for 4 years now and threads still look new. Never lost traction in any weather. I used to use wrangler silent armor pro but tires would only last 6 months. By the way i live in north dakota as you know we get as much if not more snow then mn so my tires are pushed to the limits on my small car i use toyo artic and nexxen on my subaru
Try BF Goodrich TA KO2. Great Tire. Good traction Great wear. Low road noise considering an aggressive tread pattern. Good fuel economy.
KO2 Tires - on a GMC1500 pulled out a Dodge 3500 fully loaded with full, plow and a 75 gallon slip tank.... best tires ever
Cooper M+S studded.great tires
If you think that's fast a Metal Pless or HLA 12 - 18 will blow your mind. For drives a Pronovost INV92 is pretty king aside from a Cyclone 92"
Bfg ko2 work awesome in the snow.
Either bf Goodrich KO2's or Goodyear Duratracs. That's the 2 New England tires and they both hold up really well. KO2 is better for just snow but the Duratracs are good in mud and snow.
Awesome
Yeah here in Cleveland we get lake effect and the snow belt gets 200 in a year sometimes so it can be a nightmare plowing here
I bet Eric, thank you for watching !
Falken ATW3 wildpeak AT tires or Hankook dynapro AT's excellent all around tires with lots of siping that offer great snow traction.
That things a beast
I run the wild country cycle sport 10 ply on my truck and it does well for plowing.
i have bridgestone KO2 all terrain and i love them, awesome tire
BFG makes the KO2
Brian Mitsch yeah your right meant bfg my bad
I like my hankook dynopros, fairly decent mileage but they are fairly soft with a course pattern
That's a nice plow. I'm glad to see its American made. Made by guys not afraid to get their hands dirty. OH YEAH.
I think some of the comments are right on when they say it works only in certain applications I'm from Wisconsin plowing snow since the mid 80s I have about 75 accounts which 1/3 of them are small two medium-sized City driveways this type of plow would probably work excellent for that as long as you don't send it right to their garage door
is that what you think? ... hmmm
Had great luck with good year duratracs but right now I have sick cepeck fun county mt and they're wonderful in the snow, sand ,mud
I need one of these blades here in north western Montana it gets it's fair share of snow and it sure would be handy ...maybe I will take a ride to Michigan
