Man, I need to get one of those!!
Thank you for referencing what piece of equipment it can keep up with, otherwise guys like me have a difficult time fully understanding a tool like this is.
Awesome video!! “If I hit something, just jump in we are taking off!!”
lol, right! It was GT lawn lol
B&B wipe the man gew off your chin
F5 networks
Definitely a sweet blade, such a time saver!
Brian's Lawn Maintenance On the list after the night your probably having. Crazy snow in lower mi right now.
That thing is friggin awesome!
Going to need that tomorrow for sure. West burbs called off school! 😬
Try it up here in Canada in 30cm of snow and were snow drifts are 6 feet tall
Plow with a 180 swing wing and a wideout front. Once you get used to the controls and get efficient with them, they're extremely quick and effective.
That is cool, almost makes me wish it snowed here, but not really.
When you put the back blade down it lifts up the rear end a bit- when you use the back blade are you in 2wd or 4wd?
Love the Ford plug there.
Was thinking about a tow behind plow on my 4 wheeler today. Come in and see this !
Nat Hamilton waste of time. Throw a conventional plow on your wheeler...you'll be far happier. You'll have much more control over what you're plowing.
Definitely not legal to pull that snow in the street like that
Why cant we get massive wings on the front plow? Like a loader box that opens the sides.
“Keep it on the plowees property” *pushes it into the ditch*
Since when can you dump snow out on the main road?
Looks like an awesome implement that could really be helpful in the right context. I realize that this ude was a newbie but plowing the driveway snow onto a public road is so such a no-no, illegal and very fine-worthy. I only wish that you would have mentioned the illegality of this method. You cleaned up the neighbor's drive mess, however. You also did a great explaination of when to lift the back blade... at the end of the driveway BEFORE dragging the snow into the street. Nice video and a great add-on for commercial snowplowing.
It was cleaned up and on a private road
I owed a plowing company for 26 years and that's the coolest thing I've ever seen
Greg DeBernardis jr. there's a truck on youtube that has a side wing that's about 8 feet
They are even cooler running one.
How much did you owe them, and why would you want to be in debt to a company for that long?
John Doe LMAO
Would you get the short iron over the boss drag pro? Im in canada and can only find the short iron or boss drag, im able to get parts essy for the boss plow, not sure about the iron. I havent found much reviews on the short iron but lots on the boss. Seems like the boss is alot of mixed. Whats your opinion, i need something reliable
I'm pretty sure it is called a PULL PLOW. Stanley made a whole video about it and made sure we understood that it is a PULL PLOW
Huh. Drag the snow into the public roadway. I'm so impressed...
This is the internet/youtube. and that is a bad example. come roll with me. ill impress ya...
@@morgansmith3650 sure you will...
9:24 or ya know watch the whole video first
its the same way people do it with front plows. pull it out to the road then you take it and push that snow you pulled out to the road over to the curb and stack it
Looks great in 2-3 inches of snow. I would like to see you try that driveway with 12-15 inches of heavy wet snow. When you drop that blade you can see the bed rise showing little weight on the rear wheels. In 12+ inches, I think the rear wheels would just spin on the unplowed pavement.
well what should be used in 12-15 inches of snow?
Is see you have reviewed two types of PULL PLOW set ups. Which do you prefer?
I’m not a fan of “5 wheel rails” in a bed of a truck so I was leaning towards the SHORT IRON one, but my company color is SAFTEY ORANGE like the other one......thoughts? Feel free to call if you have 5 minutes
Pretty cool, but how is it in over a foot?, seems like snow would fall over the top and you'd have to back up again.
Man that dude helping should turn the flame down just a few notches lol 😂
Inch of snow woooowwww!!!!!!!
This is a great plow… But if you’re in the snow removal business it’s always beneficial to have a Salter hopper so you could do two things at once which is common but with the set up where you gonna put the Salter
Dude thats cool
Great for commercial property 💯❤️
I really like these pull wing plows vidz..I just haven't seen them performing on youtube in REAL snow fall yet..
because everyone is REALLY hard at work then
first you have to brake throw the 5 foot grader bank, I could maybe see this maybe worth having if you lived in a warm climate were it snow over night but by noon the next day it is gone
Super nice though. Talk about effortless.
Works great for a half inch of snow
worked fine for me last night in 4'' of snow. i clear 40k sqft of parking lot in a few minutes.. Clean. $60. parking lot in 6-7 minutes. happy client to boot
in on state roads in my 550. I'm gonna get a 250 with a v and a rear sno power and come up!
Yea great idea put all the snow on the road?
Definitely cool. It does has it's flaws. But what doesn't.
I would say to Stan what don't you raise the back drag at the end of thir drive
Precisely
In many states it is illegal to move snow into the street even across into a ditch. I can't see it moving 6+inches either.
Yea just spread it all over the snow free road, every one can have some. What a mess
Jim Stelfox I’m a municipal snowplough Operator and we will push it back to where it originated. Also, fines are put onto the property taxes. There is no excuse for that as it is dangerous.
i love the comment section when the bored boomers get to shout from their porch at people. good lord what he did wrong was corrected right in the video. but go ahead and pat yourselves on the back for telling everyone what was already stated in the video. grumpy old men is not just a movie.
@@nocoolname32 no doubt.. great comment
“dude I’m not a virgin anymore wow”
Saves alot of time and money in the long run
swagg so smooth23 saves time ? You still have to use the conventional blade for the cleanup at the bottom of the driveway & in the road. A conventional 9' blade would be quicker in the end.
@@ROTAXD no.
Hold up let me just start my truck..... automatically .. Bahaha
It's illegal to push snow into the road "at all" in michigan.
Nice for a couple inches of snow that does not need clearing.
nice in any sno event.
Like saying a shovel will only work in 1 inch of snow.. Shovel works in any amount of snow. Just takes longer. Front plow dont keep up with the capacity of a huge storm. Still plows right? just takes a bit longer... But ill take that 16ft swath every chance i get. And i do..
Your not aloud to put snow in the road.
Cracked front windshield and no strobe on truck ...
They Live no DOT number
No seat belts
Strobes don’t matter
In certain applications it would work great but heavy snows and drifts would be a different story and do i want to mount this to my 60,000 $ work truck to kill it off in a few years
Now use the front blade to push the snow off the road.
Backblades suck. Soon as you hook one of those wings on something it’s gonna breaks. I’ve used back plows before and the small niche they fill is not worth it. So what happens if you need to salt after you scrape? Just stick with a good front plow and back drag.
Always Be Shooting I plow commercially and back blades are life. I have plowing in a truck without a back blade. They save time on everything, scrap cleaner, if you were taught on a truck with a back blade you don't realize how much you actually use it till it isn't there
mike squires here in Chicago almost nobody runs backblades. I can see certain instances where it would be useful(like plowing out narrow truck docks). Vast majority of jobs it’s just not necessary. Maybe if you do a lot of drive ways? Most all customers call for salt. To run a good size salt box and this plow might be a lot of weight unless you’ve got a dualie. Keeping your truck going and a plow and a salt box is usually enough. Don’t need the headache of another piece of equipment.
They are good for long driveways, I used too use one on our big tractor with a front plow as well
Always Be Shooting almost no one around here does salting residential. Almost all residentials are plowing only. Only salting is commercial accounts
@@alwaysbeshooting8841 i plow about 80% all night will just my rear. ..20+year vet. 50-100k sqft parking lots. .. yep. out run a loader up to about 5" of snow. Clear a $150 lot in about 15-20 min
that truck looks like buzz light gear
Looks cute. But that truck isn't gonna pull that snow if it's deep.
it will, and if it cant. take half passes. just like you would with ANY plow.
A 50 dollar leaf blower would work just as well for as little snow that is there
Whats up with the lowes pro services? Should say Home Depot lol
That is cool! But how deep of snow will it pull before you break that ford?
Figure. How much of trailer and weight can it pull? Snow is going to do what?
No matter how deep or shallow, the capacity is going to fill up. Spill over. just carry what you feel comfortable with. How much do you typically carry? on an average snow event? I carry as much as i can.
Dan was having too much fun. #TIACREW
The law of plowing is never push across the road. I have dealt with this problem about 10 times in the past 5 years. I love across from a condominium driveway. Whenever they hire a new company or the company hires a new untrained employee to do it, I end up with a huge pile of snow blocking my sidewalk where I put my garbage cans.
I have to make a new sign every year to hang from the tree to ensure that this doesn't happen. Yeah, not so sure about that law.
Try it in 6-8 inches of snow
what I was thinking.
I want to see 6_12. Inches.
Michael Miller
Jajajajajaj. You are funny.
6-12 inches? LOL
Around here it'd be 3-4 feet
I keep seein the comment of "try it in 6'' of snow. And i could only surmise that under the gun of a storm of that capacity, there isnt any time to make a video. I could be wrong. But i know that if there was a 6" storm i would be busy ,,.. real busy. However, they do just fine clearing bulk snow. thats all i have is these types of plows. they have been around for over 20 years. I never say im better than anyone at anything. But i would have to say it wouldnt be easy out plowing me. ..20+ years as the neighborhood shovelist...
33 seconds? Then why does it take 17 minutes+ to show it???
Hahahahahahaha
Easier to lift plow right at end of driveway then turn push to corner of driveway
Here in Maine, dragging the snow out into the road and leaving it would result in a MAJOR fine. And quite possibly, a butt-whipping from the neighbors.
You are making a mess of the street someone cleaned and now everyone has to drive over your driveway snow.
Box Blade/Scrapeblade on a pickup
Hey man I live in crystal lake
Damn we are right here
Jaymel dude I'm in grayslake
Tools In Action the redtail sign gave it away I'm right off ackman and golf course rd
Jaymel in Kenosha here
I plow in Lakewood crystal lake area! D.M prime burgers is the spot!
The only problem with that is you run over what your trying to plow and also you have to leave what you plowed on the road
mack bullock no you don’t. He just doesn’t know how to use it. Obviously you lift it before it hits the road. Then come back with the front blade and push it to the side of the driveway
JoePJack1 and that right there is the reason a 9' conventional plow will always be quicker for most residential plows than a back blade.
@@ROTAXD not true.
id show you, but i dont shoot videos. just gonna have to take my internet word for it..... or dont..
I like it and realize time is money. That said I can see a bunch of lazy contractors just pulling the snow into the road and then taking off to the next job leaving for treacherous conditions for people to navigate. They do it now pushing the snow across the roadways leaving huge trails.
in my state , Vermont, you get caught and you get a huge fine
Contractors like that probably wouldn’t be contractors for long.
Same in michigan as far as I know its illegal to plow snow and leave any in the road.
Jared Fry: You wouldn't happen to work in Kendallville would you?
Motortube no I dont
Nice but I don't know if people want to pay $100 dollars. Per services here in Iowa. Is hard to get people pay $45 dollars
Oh man, you had Stan here? Wish I knew, I'd have taken you goons for lunch!
7:36 😂😂
I hate when people pull snow into the road like that....
you cant put snow on the roads they will give you a fat ticket.
Rick Waychoff same thing I was thinking. That’s the law is here in Wisconsin.
Works great! It’ll help offset the fines for plowing into the road!
and blocks the tail lights and there are no marker lights. besides a ticket where I live it would be towed and impounded.
yes. plow into the street and push into the yard. also as i understand illegal to plow the street. however seems all the plow guys (me too) do it.
if you watch further he does explain the more correct way to do it.
Plows the neighbors driveway... It seems like community is just a bit stronger at the very least in places where it snows.
This won't be a smart investment if you live in Florida
they buy plows in florida. www.abcactionnews.com/news/local-news/i-team-investigates/snow-plows-in-florida
Works as a squeegee too! Your neighbors will be so jealous. Why wait 10 minutes for the sun to come back out and dry it when you can squeegee your entire driveway in 2 seconds?
The average homeowner probably doesn't realize how they clear their driveway affects the city and/or county snowplow operators and they should realize that if they push the snow across the road, lane, highway or city street, it is illegal in the state of Minnesota.
According the Minnesota Statute 160.2715,
According to the MnDOT website, "Snow removal operators are advised not to push snow onto public roadways."
Pull Plow
Useful, but where i live it’s illegal to put the snow from your driveway in the road
Illegal to push snow into road.
I want to see it in a foot of snow
Why not pull to the end of driveway and then use the front plow to push it aside? Pulling it out into the road is stupid and dangerous.
Stan I think you give sound advice time to time, but 300 drive ways In 3 hours no way.
What about the time it takes to stack all that snow once it's in the street?
300 driveways is realistic on an average snow event 8-10 hrs. .. yeah that comment was a little mis leading
I have gotten a ticket for putting in the street
you could buy one of these and have a plow business with free labor from all the guys who will want to try it out.
So you left a pile of snow in the street? Most cities will issue a ticket for even pushing snow across the street let alone in it. I doubt anyone would give up a salt spreader for this.
8:40 that's a humvee not a hummer
Your not aloud to push/pull snow onto/over the main road ..
Put ur setbelt on
in every state it is against the law to push snow into streets or roadways. if i was law enforcement.... i would stick it to several plow drivers who really abuse this causing hazards. as well as lawn crews who use no chute on mowers flingin debris into traffic
Nice for the light snow falls
nice on any snow event size. Whats the capacity cutt off for front plow? whats the cutt off for a shovel? Shovel still works in 1 inch or 3 feet.
1:43
Insane is living in the North.
Oh, you mean I can't leave my 33 sec pile in the road??
Made in America!!!!
It's illegal to push snow out of a driveway and onto a public street. Your gonna need all that extra money to pay all the fines. Then your gonna be stuck with an expensive lawn ornament.
Waste of money. I could clean those driveways , better than that, in under 2 minutes with my straight blade. Would never get used in places with real snow like here in Maine.
Ron G haha. Michigan has real snow. The UP anyway. Hahaha.
It would have to be on a bigger truck for here in Maine. And would have to use a float feature so not to wreck dirt driveways
you have no idea. if you guys dont have these you are using outdated technology. before i owned them, i felt like a hack. even though i wasn't. they carry an unbelievable amount of snow. wouldn't plow without one . They been around here for over 15 years. you guys up there will catch on soon.
not a waste of money. Supreme investment. Extremely supreme investment. You just dont know.. Dont take it wrong.
33 seconds huh? But a 17:16 long video😂
Title says he plows driveway in 33 seconds but it’s a 17 minute video
Maybe not Germany, but go murricaaa... Lol
Looks like you never even plowed a driveway in your life using the front plow. Pushing the Snow across the street is a no no. Pushing snow out of a driveway and down the street is a big no no. Leaving snow in the Street after a driveway plow, you're getting fined from the City plus most likely getting fired from your job. Clueless
Tools In Action I personally don't know anyone who lives in their mom's basements. Didn't the guy who was testing out the truck say he usually plows customers driveways with the front plow.
Philip Smith He told the guy to move it out of the road
Philip Smith I plow my driveway and push the snow across the road, but I do clean up my lines.
Did you see him driving? :}. Love man spread the love!
Philip Smith Truth!!!!!!
Dude
Then he got a ticket for putting snow in the street
bad example. Roll with me. ill impress ya. I dont do videos. too busy working.
I want to see 8" of wet snow being plowed. I bet tires spin and its unable to pull it unless chains are used. I can see a few complications with this. Too many to make it cost effective.
you tried it?
those plows have been around for 30+ years.. short lived gimmick? or long lived gimmick?
I have 2 of those gimmicks on my trucks now. Looking to get a few more gimmicks in the near future
Seems cumbersome to me. A good front blade is all one really needs.
