Aside from Jimmy, I love the fact that Mick Jagger is doing a Mick Jagger impression as well.
Charlotte Faunch Just because you're 13 doesn't make you know more about him.
Charlotte Faunch You've really missed the point. I was joking about the fact that Mick is taking the piss out of himself and how his stage moves are perceived. But you're 13 so I'll let you off, now run along.
good point
What ur being mean to my sister just because she's 13 doesn't mean you can tell her to run along
Charlotte Faunch Ha! You tell her then.
Jagger ramping the accent up to 11 here just to outdo Fallon.
Yeah, Mick is the most posh and well-educated and articulate of the Stones. He just amps up the working class speaking style for effect.
No, sorry, that’s Mick’s legit accent…
Everything is multiplied and exaggerated- genius...
@@MoMo-nj2oc and he's been doing it for 60 years! Long live the Mick...🤘
@@chasbodaniels1744 Too funny, I read that before I looked at your name and thought "hmm, I don't remember seeing this before and writing that", so there's that.
I love how Jaggar makes the “decade” joke, and then looks at the crowd like, “funnay, innit”. Gotta love Jaggar.
Jimmy Fallon impersonating Mick Jagger +1
Mick Jagger impersonating Jimmy Fallon impersonating Mick Jagger +10000
one of my favorite things about mick jagger is that he can take a joke. he isn't at all offended by light hearted jokes at his expense and I truly admire that. just shows how carefree and grounded he still is.
NOT FUNNY
Your name and avi!!
uh not true
Oii oii
He's a performer. He's a natural performer but he's also a hardcore businessman.
Jimmy is actually doing a pretty good Mick :)
So is Mick
This is so hilarious. Jimmy Fallon impersonating Mick Jagger right in his face.
Mick Jagger is also impersonating Mick Jagger lol
Is he?
Jimmy Fallon looks like Keith Moon in the thumbnail.
yeah, for as much shit people give him, surely this sketch had to take some balls
Love you're username and pfp
I did it in the 70s, I did it in the I-EES, I did it in the 90s...
+ELVIS1975T He's English isn't he?
Jessica Jackson That was English?
And now I’m doing it in-whatever u call this decade!
@@divinedevinn04 d'caaade*
@@Katya_Lastochka yep it's a cockney accent
I love that Mick can’t even keep from laughing. 😂
I love how Lorne told Jimmy to not pitch this idea bc he thought it would annoy Mick but then he ended up lovin it lmao
It's weirder that Lorn Michaels has a show like this considering his judgment is horrible! He hates when people break character which is what the audience loves the most, I've heard of probably 3 to 4 dozen ideas that he didn't want but was done anyhow and there some of the most iconic skits or digital shorts we've ever seen.
@@veggigoddess maybe his strength is assembling the team?
@@veggigoddess and Lorne's team. They told Molly Shannon not to do MKG. And then Lorne liked it.
@@user-hv3xv4xs6j Maybe he's into sensual fetishes?
This is almost Mick Jagger just roasting himself.
Jagger is hilarious. What a great sense of humor.
Mifol Free He loves it when others impersonate him. His favorite though is Harry Styles’ (from One Direction) version of him. It crushed and it nailed like no other. Look it up on RUclips. 😂 😆
Ahhhh he’s British
I love Mick's response when Jimmy Fallon said "stay-oh" for stale lol,
Mick is just the best at finger pointing
Dearly love him. 👅👅👅👅💨💨💨💨
J: "STOP YELLING AT ME!"
M: "I'M NOT YELLING AT YOU!"
J: "STOP YELLING"
M: "I'M NOT!"
J: "STOP-YOU'RE YELLING AT YOURSELF"
M: "NO I'M NO-"
J: "YOU'RE YELLING AT YOURSELF, NOW STOP IT!"
M: ...
Best scene! 😂
Ninica1 Nina hahahah
Jagger's ability to remember his lines and naturally deliver them very impressive and funny
Jagger's acted in movies since the 70's - he started with "Performance", then "Ned Kelly", where he played an outlaw...and he has one coming out this year as well!
They use cue cards. They are off to the side.
@@brucelee4996 that's not the point
@@pringles4312 Except in this skit you only see Mick looking towards the cue cards only once, he doesn't for the majority of this particular performance.
True.
“Whatever you call this decade”
😂
Two decades later…
He should remember about the oughts from the last time, in 1900...
"Why don't you just put me in a bloody time capsule in 1969." Almost 20 years later and still love this skit. Mick Jagger did such a great job. 📸🎙🤩
Keep your eye on them.
We never know how much longer we have them.
Jagger is an icon.
Long live Mick Jagger
1:29. Mick: “Hey, what you got there?”
Jimmy: “It’s tea. Why, . . . want some?” 😂
Mick: “Yeah!” 😂
Lol I thought the joke is because Mick is English and drinking tea is an English stereotype
BA F1 the yeah! Reminded me of That John Mulaney skit.
My favorite part!
WONT SAM??
That sounded like an ad-lib, not in the script.
*”NOT FUNNY!”* - Mick Jagger - John Mulaney
John Jagger Mick Mulaney
I think of that almost every day...
@@grainne1907 I'm actually mildly alarmed at how often that bit crosses my mind...
Mick is one of the greatest
I love Micks reaction, when Jimmy’s doing the rooster
Good sketch with Mick Jagger. Showing his abilities. Its not just about the music.
had to see this after they mentioned it on seth meyers
Chris Kounterstrike lol me too!
Same here!
It was right in the suggested videos while I was watching that. Little spooky!
Same! It's clear Jagger is having so much fun with it, too. Lorne thought it was an old idea, but Jagger's glee helps put the sketch over
From interviews, Mick gets a kick out of whole hearted impersonations of him. Besides Jimmy’s, Harry Styles of 1D fame does a Jagger impersonation that absolutely nails it, and even Mick said that he loved it.
Jimmy said this was his all time favorite skit
Fallon told Seth Meyers in an interview in 2018 that he pitched the mirror sketch to the SNL top brass on the Tuesday but they hated it, so he then pitched a whole load of other ideas to Jagger, but he hated all of them, so - bereft of anything else by the Friday - Fallon finally suggested the mirror idea, and Jagger loved it. Apparently.
What kills me about this is that Mick is doing an impression of Jimmy Fallon doing an impression of him.
Very meta.
Only time Jimmy didn't break, which is ironic because this is his funniest sketch.
Not the only time.
Seems like he did at 1:45.
He was good as jerry Seinfeld
Check out his The Doors impression. It’s scary how well he emulated them.
Jimmy killed it. He had Mick in amazement from the rooster onwards. Mick knows talent.
At this age and even now Mick Jagger has an infectious laugh.
Jagger has brilliant comedic delivery and comfort level. This is gold. And what a career highlight this must have been for Jimmy to do a skit with him. They nailed this. 👍
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SKETCHES! Jimmy Fallon is really good!
Carolyn N Saw Mick on 1966 He hasn't gained a pound since 😀
Mick always looks like he needs a good meal!
Jimmy Fallon is just in there with his heros, what a great job.
You can tell they both had fun with it
Ya gotta love Mick and the Stones. Their raucous brand of rock has wowed audiences for decades.
D'CADES!
NOT! FUNNAAAAYYYY
DIET COKE!
@@BoredZozo john is that you??
Noouuu!
Yeeeeah!
I understood that reference.
Lol that John's story is why I'm here 😂😂
Quite endearing to see such a legend as Mick Jagger enjoying himself this way. How truly fantastic.
Mick and Keith are the real deal.
at least Mick is one frontman whose talent is undeniable if you listen to the records. But he doesn't mind being sent up . He. appreciates that he's had a wonderful life
I love that mick can laugh at himself.
After all these years, Mick's smile is still the Best!
Great to see Mick is such a good sport about doing this also having a great time ! Jimmy does him so well, could probably do any of them if he wanted too.
"...the rooster, why don't you just put me in a bloody time capsule"
Hilarious!
I love how Mick tries not to crack up at some points. 😂
"NOT FUNNAY!!!!"- Mick Jagger
Probably one of the most all time hysterical skits....Jimmy rocks it Mick rolls it.
Best comment here! Captures the skit entirely.
You mean like....
This was great fun! Really nice to see that Mick can enjoy the whole thing too!
Love mick Jagger. I never get tired of looking at his appearances on SNL.
Love it, Mick's such a good sport!
Inexplicably, my favourite part of this classic skit is the way Jimmy is saying "Tea, why? Do you WANT SOME?"
This is probably top five of my favorite skits of all time on SNL. Mick was such a good sport about the whole thing and Jimmy is on point, as well.
Fallon can hold his own with anyone musically
You can tell both of them are having a great time doing this great sketch.
Mick watching Jimmy impersonating Mick right to his face and they are awesome. I love the Rooster!
Their comedic timing & chemistry is spot on.
This is perfect. So much Mick Jagger.
The Best! Comedy Gold with Mick Jagger !
Cool as ever Mick.Jaggahh
playing Mick Jagger in front of Mick Jagger has got to be the biggest trip ever
I was howling with laughter at this one. Mick Jagger is actually really funny.
The world is a better place with Mick Jagger in it !
I like the Mike Myers/Mick Jagger SNL clip from mid-90s better, but both are hilarious!
Mick has a VERY good sense of humor.
Having a great sense of humor is another reason for loving Mick. He's sucha good sport when he's spoofed in SNL.
Who else came here from Jimmy's interview with Seth Meyers? 😂
Of course :-) RUclips has already caught on now because it was in my suggested.
Yh
Meeeeeeeerrr
2020
On Marc Maron's pod I heard John Mulaney mention writing Mick's monologue on SNL. Here I am.
One of my all time fave SNL bits < 3
Mick is so adorable this is the best
Just WONDERFUL.
Seeing Mick break is the funniest part.
Ok im back two years later. Its still gold.
Jimmy's the best! :D
This cracks me up every time I watch it!😅
Mick has slowly transformed into arnold schwarzenegger
I love that Mick Jagger has the sense of humour to do this
And that he did it so well! The audience loved it.
Mick Jagger is a master of self parody.
Just looked this up after hearing Fallon talk about this skit during his 2024 Olympics coverage interview. This is pretty funny.
Oh my god mick jagger is a king lmao
Jagger keeps snorting something up his nose! 😎😎
Mick Jagger could do movies. He's got a great presence
He starred in two movies released in 1970 'Ned Kelly' was, and remains, an absolute stinker. 'Performance', directed by Nicholas Roeg, is absolutely out of the late 60's while also ahead of its time. Mick was pretty good and the movie is definitely worth a look if you're not easily offended.
Despite The Fact That Critics Hated It… I Enjoyed The 1992 Movie “Freejack” Mick did with Emilio. Estavez,Anthony Hopkins, and Rene Russo
“Yaw yelleng awt yawself stawpit nowuh “luuk “😂
Mick is a genius... Like, what the fuck do u call that decade??
Jagger is so cool. I like the skit. I thinks it's funny. The other ones from this show are great too. Living legend! 👍
Mick is a natural born force of talent. and natural timing for being damn funny too
The rooster part is classic, lol.
Jimmy even came in with the harmony!😂🎶
Loved this sketch.
Fallon is a great musical impersonator, Dave Matthews, Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger, Adam Sandler, he pulls them off really well, he also did a decent parody album. I think he was meant to be the charming Al Yankowich, and should have continued to be his own thing.
Mick did a great job on this skit
I'm pointing my finger!
To think he’s 70 years old in this video is seriously unreal
Goddess Kali❤ keeps him
Going
Top 10 skits of all time..maybe top 5 (mainly because Fallon didnt break character laugh throughout the skit)
This is definitely one of the best skits SNL ever did (up there w/'More Cowbell')
i wish my reflection could harmonize like that 2:44
Same
Mick is great at comedy
It's been really long since I laughed and laughed and laughed at such a simple concept:-). They are both great in this.
Jimmy Fallon had pitches loads of scetches to Mick but Mick kept saying "nah, I´m not doing that" On the day before the live broadcast Lorne Michaels asked Jimmy if he had any scetches to pitch and Jimmy said yes and explained this mirror scetch to Lorne. Lorne didn´t like but told Jimmy to at least run it by Mick. As you can see the Rolling Stone legend said yes to it.
THIS! SO MUCH THIS! One of my favorite skits EVER! I LOVE MIck almost cracking up. SO GOOD! A whole additional appreciation for Mick when I saw this!
love how mick was laughing lmfao
"you're yelling at yourself now look!"
Sometimes,it's hard to tell which one does a better "Mick," Jimmy,or Mick !!
I love how Mick’s trying not to laugh
Brian Jones ha creato i Rolling Stones ! Ha composto No expectations , Painted black e la insuperabile Ruby Tuesday ! Brian Jones è stato estromesso dal gruppo e poi ucciso , fatto annegare da Jagger e Richards nella sua piscina. Ciao Brian
Mick might actually have had a shot in the comedy industry if the music thing didn't work out.
Just saw Jimmy talking about this while talking on the Olympics of doing this skit with Mick and how it came about. Decided to rewatch it. Never gets old!😂😊😅
