Considering i bought the 2600 4 years ago and it still kicks ass in 2022, is astounding to me. I didnt expect it to last me this long. I guess my 5700XT certainly helps out. Sure it struggles in cpu intensive games but its more than good enough. If i can get 40-75 FPS in new AAA games on medium/high settings at 1080 or 1440p im more than happy. I often find that 1080p doesnt help me out much so i stick to 1440p most of the time. I will probably not upgrade cpu or gpu for atleast another 2 years. Or unless prices calm down, i refuse to spend 1000$ for products that are 2-400$ msrp. Anyways i digress, im super impressed with the 2600 still. Glad i got both pieces
@@arfianwismiga5912 Dont listen to people like this, a PC is ALWAYS worth it. @chris i play most new AAA releases 60+ fps easily. I also play many mmorpg's like ESO WOW and FF XIV. I also do a ton of Emulation on pc, PSP,PS1 2 and PS3 emulation, dreamcast, switch etc all that good stuff
@@TyEats2200 Im still using my 5700xt and r5 2600. Still no plans to upgrade as i have no need to. I mostly play world of warcraft and other rpg's and jrpg's. Especially since the ps5 and xbox one x are not very powerful, all those games will continue to be easily played on pc for years
Not for AAA games anymore. Was bottlenecking the hell out of my 2060 Super of all cards lol. I just upgraded to the 5600 (Bought new, exact same price as the 2600 new when I bought that 2 years ago, so not expensive either) and the GPU is finally getting fully utilized again at 100% usage. Before in many new AAA games it would hover around 60-75% usage. Performance increase is actually incredible. Forget the 1600/2600 and just go 3600 for the cheaper option or go all out and spend a lil more for the 5600 which is a god damn beast of a CPU for the price.
Planing to get this one for around $100. Or should I go for the 3600 for $135? I think the 2600 should be good for next 2 or 3 years. Maybe even more depending on the usage
3600, I wish I went one gen higher. 2600 is honestly starting to show it's age pre strongly with cpu intensive games nowadays, or anything with raytracing. New spiderman remastered is a perfect example.
@@JxTechy Oh yeah. I just upgraded my 2600 to a 5600 and honestly, I'd just go all out and get the 5000 series as it's last gen for AM4/best in socket. I'm using a 2060 Super and my performance has sky-rocketed from the CPU upgrade. The 2600 was bottlenecking my last gen, mid-range GPU. For gaming I would not recommend a 2600 anymore, considering the thing was holding back a 2060Super of all cards! 3600 if you want to go a lil cheaper and still have the upgrade path to the 5000 series anyways :) But damn I'm happy with the 5600, things a beast!
No offense to amd but this cpu has been nothing but trouble to my friend. It bottlnecked his vega 56 and rx 6600. I tried everything to make it run smoothly nothing worked. Both my old x58 and x79 pcs from 2011 and 2013 provide much better performance which I find hilarious
I haven't heard of anyone having any trouble with this cpu like that. Did your friend have RAM that was rated for 3000MHz and set to that? Was he overclocking? Was he using a stock cooler? You can also get a faulty chip sometimes.
@@JxTechy he has a 3200mhz kit. We tried entering in timings manually and using xmp. His cooler is a hyper 212 which is fine because his cpu is not overclocked. He's just saving up for a r5 5600.
Completely agree. I have a 2060 Super and the 2600 since I had it was bottlenecking a last gen, mid-range GPU lmao. The 5600 is noticeably WAY faster and my GPU no longer is getting bottlenecked and sitting around 60-70% usage in newer AAA games, and even older ones like HZD. And I was running 3200Mhz 16 DDR4 as well and the CPU had a rock steady 4ghz OC. I would not recommend a 2600 anymore. 3600 for the cheaper option/5600 if you can shell out a tiny bit more. (The 5600 cost the same as the 2600 did 2 years ago for me)
Strange that is. I noticed when I had it XMP wouldn't work at all so I had to manually set timings and speeds, had to change ram as well as it didn't like the 1st lot of ram I brought
Coming into this video I expected a comparison between the 2600 and more modern CPU's while using a variety of GPU's. Naturally you would be looking for the point at which the 2600 bottlenecks and maybe give some recommendations from there. Otherwise this video is a colossal waste of time.
Unfortunately I don't have unlimited money to buy GPU's. Hence I have stopped making videos on this channel. The VS 2021 meant how it handled the most popular games and applications that where being used in 2021, your the 1st negative comment, so I guess most people understood the meaning of this video.

Would the ryzen 5 2600 be a good match with the gtx 1650 4gb?
Yep 👍🏻

So would a ryzen 5 2600 pair well with a rtx 2060?
Yeah that’s a decent pairing to be honest
Does this do good with 1050ti ?
Yes
Bro which cpu should i get 🤔 👀
The r5 2600 or r5 3500x for cpu intensive Gaming
I would take the ryzen 5 2600 as it has hyper-threading (12 threads) compared to the ryzen 5 3500x which only has 6 threads.

Yes and the ryzen 5 2600 will be okay for another 4 years at least

1060 6gb vram or 1660 super
rx 590 or 5600xt/5700
