Such affordable projects! I Remember when I was in Elementary school- our Church had a yearly Craft Fair ( my parents were in charge!) and you had every kind of crafts sold…popular for the 60’s and 70’s. I vividly remember my Dad doing Packing Tape transfers and making bookmarks, etc. That was and will always be a popular medium! Thanks for the reminder!
What great projects! Thank U 4 sharing with demonstrations. I especially want to share making stickers with my granddaughter.....she will love them! 👍😊
Ijust realised something so profound : some people are like Packing Tape: They are more than they seem to be, jutst like the seemingly humble packing tape, they hide a million hidden talents and uses. These Packing Tape people are right under our noses, waiting to be discovered, yet will only reveal themselves to those truly worthy, appreciative and likewisely valuable. And you, dear Deidre, is utterly the Mother of all Packing Tape people!!!! Do you actually everhave time to vacuum or scrub the kitchen floor??Please tell me you are not even there so fabulously efficient? Somewhere you must have a little weak place????
I'm new to Deidre's World and just the dozen or so episodes I've seen I say to myself each time "SHE NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME"!! I will BE SOOOO grateful to get this house sale complete, find my new abode (oh how I DREAD the in between time but keep trying to tell myself to look at it as an "Adventure", (yes, an Adventure of sorts, but NOT what I'm in need of necessarily at at 52 w/health challenges due to MS) anyway, I keep my mind looking forward to the time in months to come, when I'm settled in somewhere new. But anyway my mind's goal that keeps me going is to get SETTLED & start my CRAFTING THERAPY again!! I've been too long without it already and I am mentally focused with my "eye on the Prize" of getting crafty again and Deidre's going to be of an IMMENSE help to me in this area!! You are BRILLIANT! And you share 5-6 GREAT crafting tips/tricks about a single medium, all in ONE video - that’s simply beyond the pale. I nominate you as our muse for LIFE. Please say yes. 🎉
I used this for a project, what a great idea! I also used it when i had a thicker paper on the modge podge project and before i removed the paper with water, i did this packing tape hack and it made my paper removal on the board, much easier and faster.
The chippy wood look with wax and packing tape also works with chalk paint and latex. I use it all of the time. Peeling off the tape always reveals an amazing chippy surprise. ❤
Just when I ran out of trannsparent packing tape ! I'll run to the store Friday ! Thanks for all your great tips and I'll have a look at your Etsy shop !
Love that last one!! I use so many labels at work, and always feel guilty tossing the empty sheet. Now I have a perfectly magical crafty use for them!!! Brilliant!! 😲👍💕😊
Perfect! I’d have never put 2 & 2 together & come up with that (BTW isn’t it weird that we feel funny about throwing away the back sheet once all the labels are gone - must be something ingrained in our crafter DNA ha!).
@@sheilatillman7962Haha, yes, must be!! I think it's because it's such a unique material, we know there must be a use for it! It would also be handy for finger painting if my kids were younger. 🤔 😊👍
@@megan2176 That’s it! The back-sheet is so unusual, you want to do something with it! I think we crafters (and painters, woodworkers & sculptors too, I guess) always see objects a little differently than the average humanoid. 🪺 Good talking to you. Can’t wait for her next post, right?
@@sheilatillman7962 Yes, we definitely see things with projects in mind, which for me means lots of piles of "junk" waiting to be chosen! I'm new to her channel, really enjoying exploring the old videos, and waiting for new ones! 😊👍💕

Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you creating all these amazing and stunning ideas with packing tape.. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too. Please stay safe and well too
I love these ideas. I've been doing my stickers by repurposing the backing from my printer labels instead of parchment paper for additional repurposing but I love the transfer technique too. I'll definitely be doing that since I have a LaserJet 😁
I had just finished painting a sign that I had used vaseline around the edges. I was curious if the packing tape would work with it. Great success and without a mess! I now have another chippy paint tool! Thanks for the tip, and because of your videos, I have way too many projects! Lol! 🤣
Great ideas! I watch your channel and girl I don't see how you don't have calluses from all that paper rubbing in so many videos...haha!. Thanks for sharing!
Great video I used The packing tape on scrapbook paper it worked great but a FYI packing tape from Dollar Tree will not work it doesn’t have enough sticky on it I know cause I tried it. So I went and bought a better quality tape by Scotch by 3M and it worked perfectly.
I loved everyone of your DIY’S! I am really trying everyone of these! May I please make a suggestion. When you identify your channel, etc , please don’t rush through that info. If you disagree, that’s ok. I’m just wanting to help your site grow!
Fun video! What type of label did you use for the 1 Minute Graphic/Photo Transfer? I didn’t see it in the description. Looks lots less messy than the dunk in water version.
On the larger projects, could we just use clear contact paper? And also, like the way u made labels for ur jars, instead of using them for that purpose, could we decoupage with them?
Just wondering…what would it do if you have an inkjet printer and you sealed the paper with a poly acrylic or something? What would that do? Would it allow the process to work or is that a crazy thought?

Thank you for this wonderful video. ❤Are you able to transfer to stones? What would you use for it to stick on to the stone?
You would have to use some thing that was very durable and very strong so I am unsure it’s probably not the best technique to apply to a stone
Great ideas! I watch your channel and girl I don't see how you don't have calluses from all that paper rubbing in so many videos...haha!. Thanks for sharing!
No finger prints🤪
Neat tips.

Love your hacks! Would it work with matte tape you think?
Yes it probably would thanks for watching
Is there a way to make the stickers not quite as shiny? Love all your ideas!
Yes, if you use a very fine sandpaper like a scuff pad it will take off that glossier top and Buffett down so it has more of a matte finish
@@OurUpcycledLife Thanks so much!
Nail file or buffer?

It is a cd label sheet or address label sheet. Need to be very shiny
What kind of wax did u use ? Love these ideas .
Candle wax
Great ideas, and will definitely give them a try.
FYI - decoupage is pronounced in the French way; day-coupage, not dee-coupage😉
In Canada sometimes our pronunciations are a little different :)
What???!!! Where have you been all my life!!!!
Have you tried these with an ink jet printer? I wonder if sealing them with clear spray paint could make it possible?
It will not work with an inkjet printer the ink just rubs right off if you’re trying to do the transfer
I haven't made packing tape stickers in a long time.
You should!
If I prnt off a picture on copy paper will it work ? If so which project would work best?
On the larger projects, could we just use clear contact paper?
And also, like the way u made labels for ur jars, instead of using them for that purpose, could we decoupage with them?
Yes you can use contact paper and def can decoupage with them
I’m curious to know if you’ve ever come across packing tape that has a matte finish? I think that would be a better idea for stickers.
If I am looking for a math finish, I take my pod mat and put a coat on top of the tape that will dull the finish
Question: waxed paper or parchment? You used both words but is one better than the other for the sticker project?
You can use either just make sure if you’re using the wax paper you’re putting them on the waxy side not the paper side
Just wondering…what would it do if you have an inkjet printer and you sealed the paper with a poly acrylic or something? What would that do? Would it allow the process to work or is that a crazy thought?
No it won’t work unfortunately
Can you use this technique on a glass that will be washed
No, unfortunately it’s for decor only and dusting

Just go slow and hold the tape tightly as you press it down thanks for watching
I tried to make a sticker and something went amuck. I used wax paper, I wonder if parchment would be better. I will try again.
I find that the tape does stick to the wax paper. I have much better results with parchment paper.
