@Massimo Pozzoli There is a Schoeps miniature mic visible in the corner of the room at 39:00 for example. It casts a shadow to the wall. But yeah, you can achieve that with pretty directional mics. I mean some ceiling mounted Hypercardioid might be in place as well. But yeah, sounds really nice! Happy that people notice good audio work :)

Josh Tillman is a genius. Saw him last year for my birthday. Not only was he hilarious, the music was great. Really wish he would put out an acoustic album!!
He put out several acoustic albums, just not under the "Father John Misty" moniker (e.g. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancer_and_Delirium).
Ryan Smith I meant I wish he would put out fjm acoustic versions. I'm familiar with the J Tillman stuff. Btw "if you've gotta go, go now" is one of the better Dylan covers 👌

This video is a very specific mood. It's so incredibly French. But FJM really shines in this setting. Intimate, interacting with the audience/hecklers.

I think in a nut shell the fact that fans seem to never understand that artists are human beings not fucking posters to idolize is the problum for many performers.Kurt cobain poked fun at himself many times and i respect a musician who can make fun of the rediculouness of the whole situation.I think a good and special musician is the one who can feel uncomfortable and not sure that what hes doing is the right thing.That is what many have struggled with including lennon!!!do you get me?
