It was recorded 10 years ago, day for day... Wush, time flies, I was only 14 years old by then and a head full of dreams. Those dreams have still Beirut for soundtrack and this video is so much important to me, thank you La Blogothèque.
I was 14 years old when I discovered them thanks to this video.
i remember watching this for the first time when i was 15 and then finding out they were having a concert near me later that month. i was so happy to see them live ❤️
I listened to this some years ago. And now, after drinking a few glasses of whiskey, I realise that this is some of the best things I've encountered in life. I hope that I can when I'm old and gray still appreciate the absolute joy of this video!
These old shows remember a lot my childhood, even I start knowing Beirut in 2021 February and having a slit memory of "Capitu" playing "Elephant Gun". These Balkanic, Latino, Parisian and marching band energy in one: Thanks a lot, Beirut!

Love to meet someone who was actually there I'd rather be there and experience the beauty of Paris and Beirut combine then to do any other thing in the whole world
MAGNIFIQUE!
I've been waiting for years to see this whole thing. I missed it when it came out and I've only seen the Siki, siki baba portion. So thanks and thanks for years and years of fantastic videos.
Beirut!!!
Merci La Blogothèque! You guys were the first place I ever heard Beirut so many years ago, and today they still stand as one of the most treasured pieces in my music library.
That's France!!!! That's why Zach comes often here. Don't believe Mrs LePen! please! That's not our country, we are not like that! Sorry for that!!! We love foreigners, English, Australian, Africans, and all the rest of the world. Keep coming here to give us moments of happiness! France is open to the world, don't think we are all like tatt ugly and bad woman... World: We love you!!!!!!!!!
My Night with the Prostitute From Marseilles is my favorite Beirut song I think. I love a lot of them, but I return to this one over and over and over.
Mil gracias !! Tono sobre tono, bajo tono y medio tono.
I think I hear in how Zach en the rest use their voices that because he plays flugelhorn & trumpet he`s able to dose or measure his use of breath which gives it this magic sound. In my opinion this also affects his melodies. It`s hard for me to translate these complex matters in English because I`m Dutch. In Dutch I would describe his use of voice this way: hij beroert zijn stem. It`s addictive. Does any of you hear what i hear?
I think I've watched this video like 5 times, still not enough. Maybe I'm stuck here forever. Always helps me to get rid of bad thoughts and bad mood 💙
I've been coming back to their performance of Siki Siki Baba for years. I'm so glad La Blogotheque decided to upload the whole thing. Upload the Villagers show next, please! All the love from Beirut.
This is gorgeous. I can't tell you guys how thankful I am for people who still love to create things that are beautiful and wholesome like this. Thank you La Blogotheque, your videos are gorgeous and I share them whenever I can :)
There are a lot of times that I think the internet was a mistake, and then there are videos like this that make me reconsider my position
Always have to come back to watch this at least once a year
Probably like every month for me for 10 years now.
Same...
once? cmon bruh
Still coming
Yes, me too in 2021...
If I had a time machine, this would be my destination without any doubt
Same lol
This is what the world needs 2024.

That's probably my favorite Soirée de Poche ever ! Can't help smiling seeing people going crazy on Siki Siki Baba :D
Its a crime this gem does not have 10 million views, stuff like this can make the world a better place, thank you Beirut.
Its been so many years, and still I cry of emotion, I'd give anything to be there. This is so special, thank u
The energy in this room gives me life!
This session from 2009 is the reason I first subscribed to this channel. Thanks for the years of great videos!

I needed something happy today, like half my country. I would like for them all to see this.
my favorite video on youtube. so authentic
How this music is not pleasing to some people's ears is beyond me
I understand zero French but this show speaks to me on a spiritual level, long live Beirut 💚

Requirements to play in Beirut:
-Musical hipness must be over 9000
-Must love polka.
ROFL
I always come back here:)
The cinematography is as good as the music. Really well done.

elephant gun in capitu its probably the best scene in live TV i've ever watched. I was like 16 and i'll never forget.
