I think its great this car is getting ragged on a regular basis and not in a Museum. Andy loves his car and enjoys driving it hard if that means a sequential box its all good. I know he has kept all the bits so it could go back to original if required.
Original is Getrag? :) I know in Australia, they used the Holinger. Seems like there are many, many companies making specialist racing gearboxes (Holinger, XTrac, Quaife, Hewland, Albins, TTI etc). Good to see you are supporting a UK product! :)
wondeful! I have mine waiting to be fitted, and yes it will be for track days jejeje but i got the flatshift kit with paddles also for 5 k now is the time , maybe in the future it will cost the double or more like other brands, enjoy!
Did you put a shift cut in for "flat shifting"? Do you keep track of your lap times?? Do you know how much it's improved you time? And also, are you intending to race the car?? I ask cause that gearbox is atleast 3 grand, probably over 4 grands worth of kit. Thats a hell of a lot of money for a weekend toy. But I thinks it's a good thing. I know that Andy would have put a Sequential box in it if that had been around back then. Just keeping up with modern tech.
@eggfromsywell That car is probably worth 10 times the gearbox lol Which i believe are more like £6K+ Fair play to him for doing it - You're a long time dead!
"And also, are you intending to race the car?? I ask cause that gearbox is atleast 3 grand, probably over 4 grands worth of kit." That's cheap, isn't it? Aren't racing gearboxes usually upwards of 10 grand? :)
Why would you put that box in this car? its a piece of history, leave it as was and please put the dogbox back in. Kudos for putting it out on the track but don't mess it up with new technology.
Awesome sound.69g dog sounds amazing

I would like Andy's comment on the gearbox. These videos are great!
To be a piece of history racing again is amazing!
best onboard footage ive seen for years i love it thank you
I’m glad that’s a track car because it would make for one loud street car!🙀

I can't believe the number of folk who have no idea this isn't the man himself driving. Nice gearbox but preferred the classic sound of the original

Pity we in the UK and Europe didn't have the 6spd hollinger box....

hi pal did you set the box up your self ??and if so do you have any info on setting up the selector , really struggling with my box thanks tom
Do you have to use the clutch with this box? On down shifts or upshifts?
take it to the ring!
does this gearbox have a reverse gear? Just curious

I love this car and the videos, but putting a sequential box in it is sacrilege, sorry.
It isnt actually Andy Rouse driving!!
How slow...
