I want one too, Kai. Beautiful looking camera with a high dynamic range on RAW. I agree with your notion that 6x6 would be better. Its not really a hybrid shooter, but what does that matter when the stills look so good. But it appears it is not just us two lusting after the camera. A quick check of hasselblads own online shop shows both varieties of 907 are out of stock. If only I had enough money to buy one, I couldn't at the moment anyway.
Good to see you back, great review, great cameraman too, some sections felt a bit too silent thought, perhaps Lok can help with some tips on that, but this was a very good one Kai, good job
The swc did have a add on viewfinder which you could purchase and which fit on the slide on mount on the top. I had one. There is a handle available for the 907X which gives additional controls of the camera.
Even though I have a GFX100, I'm tempted to save my pennies for this, and use the Hasselblad back mostly on my old 501CM Hassy film body. If nothing else, I plan to rent one of the 907x rigs along with that "cheaper" Hassy 45mm lens like Kai has here, and see how well it works with my old V System body and this one lens and see how I like it. This would be fun to have a digital "medium format" camera that is small and easy to walk around with and not generally call too much attention to yourself, as that most people out there likely wouldn't even know it is a camera.
Not only is it Victoria Derbyshire - but if you google her name and go to 'images' and scroll down a bit you can see her wearing a lemon coloured coat and the SAME dress - good catch
Is the LCD bright enough to use focus peaking in broad daylight? The old WLFs had a folding light box and diopter to flip up to give the focus screen some shade.
@@samuelsulaiman bruh... Lol! I know you didn't just try to identify the camera from the video.... 🤣🤦🏽 Are you aware of the 100's of editing and export settings that can affect a videos look? Lol!
1. As soon as the camera started to pan to and fro I knew it was Dan. 2. I've gotta say, you sold me on this. I thought it looked interesting, but didn't realise how operable and small it was, and modular - well, that's always a clencher 3. Having visions of the next Vivian Maier being discovered in thirty years having made thousands of vlogs reviewing cameras whilst on au pair(?) duties, but never having posted any of them.
I own this camera, with the 80mm 1.8. I also got the trigger. I does have a cable trigger you can buy. And I bought the grip. I started out with medium format, square 6x6 so this is like riding a bicycle. I shoot all my weddings, all commercial work, all headshots and anything else I can get away with using a little slower camera. I always have young and fast second shooters. The battery does not last too long. If you are a wedding photographer, I feel, you should have 4 batteries. I do not use the viewfinder, but I use that space for a Profoto trigger. Photography is all about light and us prod should know how to use that like. Is this camera worth the money? Hard yes.
Kai's jordan game is proper. He is a fan of the IIIs and the V's. Two of the best models....can't forget about the IV's though. Wonder if he owns these also.
I was surprised Kai was using a strap, then he pointed out that was mandated by Hasselblad. Makes sense with a cube shaped camera with no grip to speak of.
Been following your reviews for almost 10 years since the DigitalRev time. Quick question: how do you find the depth of field with the 45P, comparing to like a canon 35mm at about aperture f2-ish, for example.
OK: Big question, anyway to load a film back onto this? I would be quite curious, assuming I had the money, to buy this camera from Hasselblad assuming you can load on a film back from my local camera shop. I might just go for a used camera but a new camera is tempting assuming it can handle a film back.
Ur voice is a a godsend, pause haha I was going to get this but chose the Leica. Can not shoot vertical on the 907X. Had to rotate it in post. Maybe it's an irrelevant excuse since its 645 medium format. Mark I believe he owned that older film Hasselblad on that one episode. But yes really sexy of a camera my gosh. I see you with yo Oregon Jordan 5's my man! Cheers!
When using the film mount thing this would put the sensor a lot further back from the lens mount. Is it a different lens system? I don't see how the lens can focus on the sensor if it's suddenly a lot further away.
I was trying to find some info the other day about an older camera and what should I come across? DRTV video with Lok and Alamby. DRTV was by far my favourite YT # at the time, its great to see you're still making videos and still having fun with expensive gear. I do like your presentation style a lot.. I notice you didn't roll this camera down a flight of stairs or take a long exposure while throwing it in the air while on a pier in a storm??
Came for the camera. Stayed for the sminge.
The Slow Mo Guys yooo could u respond 😎
Kai looking like Hunter S Thompson
Was just about to comment the same thing. 👍
I was thinking more Twoflower
Certainly walking around like him. #intentional
James Whiteley haha yeah he does!
Hahaha he does so funny
Kai has recently discovered the word “ace”, I see...
Yes lol sounds exactly like a kid learning a new word and using it everywhere.

As always I chuckled all the way through your videos. Unique approach Keep it up

Wow quality of this video is stellar ✨
Funny Kai + colours and dynamic range
This camera is such a gift to all film photographers out there! Can’t wait to get this for my 500CM. What a fantastic hybrid system!
This is why I like Kai he looks at camera's that no one else looks at.
This feels like a classic Kai vid. Awesome!
Good to see you back, great review, great cameraman too, some sections felt a bit too silent thought, perhaps Lok can help with some tips on that, but this was a very good one Kai, good job
I hardly ever watch Kai’s videos for the review , I just like to watch him , he’s entertaining in a weird way
The swc did have a add on viewfinder which you could purchase and which fit on the slide on mount on the top. I had one.
There is a handle available for the 907X which gives additional controls of the camera.
You can't pass by this vid without mentioning Kai's flashy Rolex.
Is it? That was my first thought, but the after second look I thought maybe not. Did I miss a close up?
I love the Batgirl he's rocking. Personal grail right there
was about to tell the same
Last time I was this early, DRTV was still a thing
That was my favorite camera-related show. I kinda wish Kai would do some more challenges with pro photogs like the good old days.
@@andrewmullins5169 same. All credit for DRTV and Kai especially, I can now make some money for my family :)
This one is old..
Quite a nice video! Loved it! Those sunglasses look lit!
Drop dead gorgeous camera.
Man I am tempted! Thanks Kai!
First time to see this! Always had lust for the SWC...Wow - it can fit old film cameras!
This review was informative yet so much fun! You rock! :-)

Absolute Favorite RUclipsr , hands down !! ☝️
Your Rolex GMT-Master II stole the show. Definitely my favorite watch.
Yup! LOVE the Batman!
Great as usual Kai
2:47 may be Kai's single greatest moment. It's just comedy gold :D
The picture of the woman sat on the curb, was that Victoria Darbyshire off the tele?
Not only is it Victoria Derbyshire - but if you google her name and go to 'images' and scroll down a bit you can see her wearing a lemon coloured coat and the SAME dress - good catch
Benjamin Wilkinson wow how did u...
4:58
Darn, was just typing that in and (then) wondered if I'd been beaten to it. Well, 'Derbyshire'... but yes, looks like!
Totally bloody fantastic camera!
Nice review 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Nailed that Explorer look btw
This is not the real Kai. He's using a strap.
It's real because he's beaten by the camera. He becomes the tool while the camera is the operator
lol
Its a $6k+ camera with no handgrip... strap is almost mandatory.. Edit: Just got to the part where he explains exactly what I said....
It was some other dude and Kai just spoke the commentary later on.
kAI uses a strap
Kai's drip is impeccable in this video haha
Simply the best reviewer in so many ways 👍
Is the LCD bright enough to use focus peaking in broad daylight? The old WLFs had a folding light box and diopter to flip up to give the focus screen some shade.
I don’t buy anything until you review it .legendary in my eyes
Hi Kai, what camera are you using to film this video please? The footage looks stellar, thanks!
Danish bhai big fan
Danish bhai!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That form factor! Fujifilm, take notice.
Rubik’s cube inspired
In a sense of "Fujifilm, take notice! Don't do the same mistakes as Hasselblad!" ?
A perfect example of form over function, that turns a possibly good camera into a really expensive fashion gimmick :(
The full touch control is great but the lack of any place to grip is no no no
@@dtibor5903 I believe there is an optional grip coming out with extra controls on it too.
wait you can put the back on a hasselblad film camera? also why isn’t the image square??

I watched this video because of the camera but the shoes got my attention. Nice Jordan 5 APple Green/Oregon Ducks!
These pictures look fantastic
You should do more vlogs out on the streets. I love the vibe of this shoot.
If only they'd give us an option for the 53x40mm sensor in a package like this. For tripod mounted work this body format is almost perfect.
what a nice surprise...a Kai video
I love your videos. You're so charismatic...
More in depth videos about lenses for the 907X would be great! Can one get the 907X with 2 lenses for under US $10K?
I don't know if he's aware but there's a weird guy with a camera walking around following Kai at 9:37. He's being followed!
He's shooting into a mirror and that is his videographer.
Ah mate, wish you’d have tried it with a v-system camera ✌️
I'm 4 minutes in and I can't say if he likes the camera or is this all a joke lol
I think he likes it for what it is, but is sarcastic the whole time.

Whats Johnny Depp from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas doing with a 907X?

Great and fun vid as usual! Have you ever been to one of the All Soul's services?

They were probably also aware of his propendency to accidently drop cameras lol
I love your vídeos, from Brazil
This review was total ace!!!
If they did another fear and loathing. Kai could surely take that call.
Wow! Now that is an awesome camera. Just look at the stupendous street photos. (sarcasm is lost on RUclips!)
okay now they created a modern 500cm , now where is my modern xpan 😭

int depends a lot on the lens one is using. It will not be the same with a f4 lens or the. 80mm f1.9
Will you do a video about your watch collection?
It is cool indeed !!

Can you take photos at 6 mp, for example? I'm thinking in using this perfection for social media only (I don't want another camera).

I sold my GFX gear to buy this so I could use it next to and with my 503CW
