Me too.. hes got me saying it out of the blue when I'm doing things..lol.. also saying look at that scrappity scrap when I see metal laying around..lol
Mike I super appreciate you acknowledging my comment. For some reason it meant a lot to me. I look at you as somewhat of a movie star. I’ve always been a dumpster diver and scrounged in what people throw away when I was a kid back in 56 and 55 and on up me and my dad would go up to the garbage dump. I would pick up everything I wanted and put it in a pile and my dad would come over and tell me oh you don’t need that to various different things. Sometimes it kind of pissed me off but he was the boss
Greetings Mike. This was another great adventure. All those ceiling lights, are trying to tell you too keep walking in the light.💡 Stay hydrated, humble and kind always. PLEASE be CAREFUL. Be safe, healthy &blessed always family
Yesterday it happened, got a feeling, that container I will check... 60 LB of brass and 20LB of copper and and a lot of heavy large pieces of cast iron like 440 LB : D: O
*A few times I've come across non-working equipment and a wire push on connector popped off from the switch. I had the same exact thing happened with a almost brand new huge wet vac I found, and when I pulled the switch out to check continuity on it, a wire was disconnected, I'm still using it 5 years later.* *Anything that's been dropped/possibly dropped and doesn't work, that would definitely be a good thing to check, as well as see if it has a inline fuse that may be blown before ruling the motor is bad.*
Yeah with the motor not even humming im thinking they dropped it and a wire popped loose and it gets power to the switch but not the motor.. could be a super easy fix
Use a right angle grinder to cut the coil spring about in the middle while it's together that will release the pressure of the spring then just take the top nut off if you have a yard that scrapping cars they'll take those struts in one piece
There’s a big difference between “curb side”mike and “night scavenger” mike. Night scavenger mike just flings it in the truck and goes, curb side mike keeps it organized.
Notice he waits to rip apart the ceiling fan until he's away. That's smart. People often put stuff out that they fantasize some other person can use and are distressed to see what they've put out ripped apart.
*Just imagine what you could get in your truck if you used a cordless reciprocating saw to cut shelves, long poles and other things like them so they'll lay flat, I say this from watching almost all of your videos and still continuing, keep them coming, you really make my day with your upbeat attitude.*
I often thought about that myself. I think you would need something that made less noise tho. Maybe a laser cutter someday 😄 Those aluminum chairs are worth a good bit after clean up but take up so much space.
Mike, look if the belt sander motor has an run capacitor. Should be replaced. humming noise means, the motor coils are OK, but with a dead cap there is no rotation.
you are such a funny chap I am your no1 fan from across the pond from the uk Im love what you are doing and you are so funny toooo happy scrappin man love ya xxxxxx debbie xxxxxfrom the uk xxxxxxxx
I was listening to you about the struts, yes that could ruin someone's day. The convo would be like, I came to work feeling great, the next thing I knew I was laid out by a spring flying through the air! Tfs
Enjoyed the video Mike. Your leg is healed up now? You're getting around good. Ya'll could clean that decorative metal foldable stand then spray it a nice color, even black or white. It would sell then.
He might of looked inside when he stopped to stand it up right. He didn't want to do it in front of the owners. Like he said no one helps him he does this all by himself. He has to be strong in order to do this almost everyday by himself. I would hate to get sucker punched by him you know it will hurt he might even break a bone or two.
Go to any of the Auto Zones or other part stores and u can barrow any tool with just a deposit that u get back when returned... Rock on Mike... U DA MAN...
Wow your organizational skills have greatly improved good job on packing Dottie to the max. Glad to see that your fostering some dogs that's really cool!
HI Mike great curbside video great scores thank you we enjoy all of your videos Especially when you find old and very vintage treasures on the curbs in neighborhoods. Dottie filled up very very fast you are very very well organized bro .
Here is a little tip for you even though you might already know it some might not. If you see someone getting rid of a trampoline take the part that you jump on and use it for a scrap cover to help hold stuff in your truck. The air will blow through it instead of catching it like a trap does. Let me know if it works for you.
Hi mike, my yard wont take the shocks because most of them are oil filled. Drill a hole in the shock, drain the oil and they are good to go. As for the macferson struts, the spring has to come off before they take em. Stay safe.🏴
Brilliant Street Scrapping - looks like You had NO Competition at all - Scrap every were - well done - Don't forget to take the Brass Fittings off the Water Heater ! We love it - another great Video ! How's Your Leg ? Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
Wow, the luxury of tossing out the microwave rather than clean it. Lol The refrigerator tosser likely had help getting it to the curb, then you showed him up royally. Lol
You are the best scavenger on RUclips!
I agree
Me three
I giggle every time I hear Mike saying, “watch yo head, watch yo head!” 😄
Me too.. hes got me saying it out of the blue when I'm doing things..lol.. also saying look at that scrappity scrap when I see metal laying around..lol

Great day for you Mike. 1:41 ❤🎉
this is what I like curb surfing
Mike, look if the belt sander motor has an run capacitor. Should be replaced. humming noise means, the motor coils are OK, but with a dead cap there is no rotation.
Even a lose wire can be the culprit.
This curb side was 90% scrap. Little resaleables. Sometimes scrap pays better then yard sale. I like it.
Love a bit of curbside recycling.......
Good thing about filling up dotty, you can go straight to the scrap place if you want.....
you are such a funny chap I am your no1 fan from across the pond from the uk Im love what you are doing and you are so funny toooo happy scrappin man love ya xxxxxx debbie xxxxxfrom the uk xxxxxxxx

Mike, the springs have the pressure on those struts. Simple tool to disassemble.
