I heard vintage vhs Horror or good $ on Ebay. Seen tiktoks about outrageous prices on crappy movies, because once they hit the dump, they're gone forever. Sealed ones especially.

I respect how you run things by your “ol’ lady” Mike, on the stuff you want to keep. 50/50. Work together, not against each other.

If you earning good money as a plumber a little bit of scrap doesn't mean much, but it's good Mike picked it up.
Very nice. I know what you mean about the grill. My husband and I went and bought one maybe a little smaller than that one. The one we had was a huge grill. We wasted a lot of propane just cooking for 2 on the big grill. That was a really nice load at the end. That was a crazy amount of stuff.

The last pickup was gold. The first time the scrap was organized, and ready for pickup.
Love the videos Mike! Have you ever considered giving us a rough number what each load ends up making you? Maybe in description or even layer down the road as a pinned comment? I'm so interested in doing this. But, I really think most of the businesses here have locked dumpsters and as far as trash pick ups go we don't have the old school leave whatever you want thrown out on the curb type system. We have garbage cans that are picked up by a truck, nobody ever gets out of the truck and because of that, if you have anything that needs to be picked up by the garbage man that doesn't fit in your bin, you have to call ahead, make arrangements and pay extra. So, you NEVER see people putting stuff out on the curb. So, that leaves pretty much only dumpster diving which we used to do back in the late 90's early 2,000's for electronics outside of big box electronics stores and local stereo stores. We used to get lots of cool stuff. But most, if not all the businesses here now have huge Grey dumpsters that don't seem to have any human access really.

Mike got me in the habitat of tossing all my spare nuts and bolts into a bucket along with any scrap metal we accumulated and I put it out on the curb every few months for the scrappers. Best one was when I picked up an old church organ and took it apart for fun. Two buckes of wires, screws, bolts, brass and other metal. That guy was pretty happy when he stopped by.
I was helping clean out our warehouse today and a BIG box of old power cords was going to be scrapped (we work under special regulations and can't just take the scrap) and your theme song was playing in my head the whole time! LOL

Awesome. I've gotten lucky like that before. Since I do recycling for my scouts all year now. I have several that call for me to pick up. Or I'll be contacted through others to pick up along with the regular recycling. Right now I'm recovering from foot surgery #7. So I'm side lined for a bit. The video you post are awesome. Awesome run brother. You should've given that guy where you picked up all that awesome scrap your info Incase he ever had more stuff for you. If he's in the HVAC field he çould have whole systems for you or needed help ripping the plumbing out of a demo. Just a thought. Looking out for the Scavenger. What a score though. Very good haul there. I saw copper, aluminium, lead, brass, motors, stainless, shred mix, and the items that could be put up for resale. When I did curbside pick-up I made good money. I love watching your videos man

out with me dumpster diving in the mid 80’s that was something she loved to do with her daddy.
