I tried day game a few years ago. I went out every day and talked to 3-5 girls. I never saw any progress, the anxiety never got better, and it eventually felt like such a chore that I just gave up on it. For whatever reason I have extremely resistant anxiety that I still experience with friends and family. I even experience it with my patients even though I've been a nurse for over 5 years and have been in healthcare for over 10.

What's the mindset you have? Try watching Bobby Rio when he featured Chris Sixty in a video about mindset and another video about never running out of things to say. Also, you can try hiring a dating coach like AG Hayden. If you're more of the shy or quiet type, try hiring Bobby Rio.

@@TheSongofSaya well since then I've developed a much better mindset in regards to myself on a daily basis. I don't really experience too much depression or anxiety every day, but I do have problems with anhedonia and I struggled to feel a sense of connection with other people. Even friends and family. This is why I've started talking to a therapist and hopefully I can get to the bottom of this.

@@aintisaword honestly man, all i could say is keep doing what you're doing and embrace that anxiety but i really think you should hire a relationships expert because they are very good at getting guys used to social pressure. it's up to you of course but that's just my recommendation. personally, i never felt cured by therapy when i was anxious as hell but watching dating coaches for some reason gave me the inspiration to be more fun and flirtatious in conversations. i think you should start small for now. you know todd v? he has a 40 minute video about flirting and that is one of the videos that drastically helped me, and also how to pass shit tests (very crucial)

@TheSongofSaya well, again my issue is with a lack of connection to other human beings. I think this is connected to deeper trauma that I need to address. I appreciate the advice though. Personally I don't really like Todd v as his style doesn't mesh well with my personality.

I can totally relate to what was said here, I might have not wasted so much time since starting to watch PUA kind of content, but I came to this content quite late in life (I'm in late 40s), and recently I found myself some wingman guys and I just started to push myself through approach anxiety boundary.

One social meet up group I attended lately, one of the guys there told me he sadly didn't get his very first girlfriend until he was 30, while he is happy about having a girlfriend now, he still gets kind of depressed and bitter and resentful over having been single that long. Feels he didn't grow up having a normal youth because of being single that long. Causes him to envy and feel resentment and feel bitter when he sees couples out there younger than him.
He has the mindset that he feels if he had been born a woman at least an average plain-looking woman, then there is a guarantee he would not have been alone or single that long. Since women are always guaranteed attention or dating options because for all time women have always been on the receiving end of sexual attention. A lot of guys hate and resent how nature and reality dictates that men have to make the first move all the time and be the initiators and do the pursuing but unfortunately there's no other way.
Yet people think men still have the better end of the stick in the dating world than women do, especially when men are far more likely than women are to be single that long, be alone or single longer, or to have a lonely journey, yes men and women each have different difficulties or different issues to deal with but being alone or single later than normal is normally never an issue or never a problem for women.
He says he feels angry and mad whenever people and Society say that he should feel grateful that he has a girlfriend now and that he has no right to feel angry and bitter that he was single and alone that long.
Or why get angry and upset about what didn't happen in the past.
Well he has a right to feel how he wants to feel.
Probably because women are just a guaranteed options and attentions for just existing and breathing or having a pulse but it's not true if you're a guy or a human male.
Men have to learn all of these skills or behaviors or know how to talk and behave a certain way or act a certain way, women however since they play a passive role that doesn't require any learning or I just don't see how it requires any learning. Women can literally just sit back and let it all happen to them and I don't see that all that requires any skill development or any practice or learning on their part so it makes me mad that whenever people say that women need to learn how to date.
But yeah I get very angry whenever people think men have it better than women do in dating.
Because it's a fact that it's far more common for men than it is for women to endup chronically single.

    • @aghayden
      @aghayden  10 месяцев назад +5

I only skimmed this but yes a woman is practically guaranteed to have options but she’s also fat more likely to be a victim if SA and harassment.
Women also get shamed for having sex too easily and have a litany of other problems
Grass is always greener on the other side.
Frankly your friend sounds like he has a loser victim mindset and should stop feeling sorry for himself

One thing that’s helped me approach woman is to mentally slap myself out of the rabbit hole of doubt we fall into right before we walk up to them. It’s almost like a sharp pain in our stomach and we get flooded with thinking we’re not good enough, not cool enough, not rich enough etc and it’s THAT right there that woman can smell like sharks smelling blood. The only way to get rid of this is to BELIEVE and KNOW that you are stronger and more powerful than ANY doubt that comes. Remember, it’s you vs nega you and you MUST win if you want to achieve anything in life, not only woman. Good luck to you brother 👍
