Even though it's a bad move, I still kind of admire Ben's decision. Him making it to final tribal in HHH was considered suspiciously lucky, so this feels like a course correction on his part. Like an acknowledgement that, even though he's a good player, he maybe shouldn't get to the end twice.
Definitely. While it's certainly a frustrating end to the season and grinds the WAW finale to a halt, I do ultimately admire Ben's decision to put his own mental well-being first. Hopefully that sentiment came across in the video!
I also like the way it completes his 2 season arc from HHH to WAW - on HHH, his biggest downfall was not connecting socially with the others so they would want to take him to the end. Then he’s headed to the end on WAW but has built such a strong relationship with Sarah that he sacrifices himself for her, and ends on a positive social note with the others.
Chet asking to leave annoyed me so much because of how it literally killed Tracey's chances at getting to the merge. She was one of my favs on that Fans tribe.

Amy, Tracy, and Eric actually didn’t need Chet’s vote to blindside Ozzy. They could’ve just told him they’d vote him off so he sticks it out until tribal, vote for Ozzy, creating a 3-3-1 tie. There’s a revote where Ozzy and Chet can’t vote, and Ozzy then goes 3-2.

I have a tone of respect for Jeff Wilson, although he was one of the most obscure and forgotten players ever. He was a nice young guy with alot of leadership potential (although he never took the leadership role), and seem innocent and wholesome. Years later when I found out that Jimmy J quit, I was so disappointed - though in my rewatch of Nicaragua, it has endeared me to Marty, who definitely deserved to come back for a returning player season.

What about Steve Wright in Survivor Redemption Island? Jeff Probst speculated that Steve had purposefully lost the Redemption island duel against Mike Chiesi, Matt Elrod, and Ralph Kiser because he was done with the game. Even when I watched it, it looked like Steve wasn't even trying.
Definitely doesn't count, it was a challenge after he was already voted out, not a vote. And besides you can endlessly speculate about a lot of people purposely tanking their games because they had enough, Gabriel Cade and Zane Knight immediately coming to mind in that regard.
The most intersting thing about Jenna asking to be voted out was matter that she knew that she was out of energy and would not had made it to the end. She knew Heidi was in a better state physically and mentally. The reson of her trying to quit was to give Heidi a better chance and was more possible was able to get to final 2. However, all of the 3 men left underestimated her, that came up to bite them and actually won. I wonder what would had happend if they kept Heidi instead?

While I respect Ben's decision in WAW, it always was frustrating to me in the sense that voting him out objectively ruined Sarah's endgame position, as I think if Michelle went at F5 every person left in the F4 would've taken her to the end and she probably would've gotten votes or even won if Tony went out at fire

Total misread here Luke. I’ll start with saying I’m the biggest Keith Nale fan. RIP. But the Kimmie moment is epic not because he is so good hearted or whatever, but in fact it’s epic because it only takes Wentworth saying “NO” to get Keith to immediately back-pedal and agree to stay in the game. He absolutely still could have given up his spot for her, if that is how he really felt. The weather was getting to her, the challenges were taking a toll and she just didn't want to play the social game anymore. She gave up and went home. It wasn't because she was sick. Total misread here Luke. I’ll start with saying I’m the biggest Keith Nale fan. RIP. But the Kimmie moment is epic not because he is so good hearted or whatever, but in fact it’s epic because it only takes Wentworth saying “NO” to get Keith to immediately back-pedal and agree to stay in the game. He absolutely still could have given up his spot for her, if that is how he really felt.
Clearly, he wanted to stay in the game, but spent a minute hem-hawing about it just because he is, in fact, a good dude. So I guess you’re like 25% right.

But Sandra quit because she just didn't want to be there anymore. The weather was getting to her, the challenges were taking a toll and she just didn't want to play the social game anymore. She gave up and went home.
It wasn't because she was sick. It wasn't because a family member was sick. She simply threw in the town and said "I don't want to so I'm not going to." and then left.
