Ok, by now, I think most of you have gotten the idea that I love this place, and Seth too, and for good reason!!
A lot of times this place gets categorized as "insanely gnarly," and it is, BUT it also has some blue trails that although are steep, they are absolutely approachable at slower speeds.
So, in today's video, I wanted to give you all a tour of the blue trails at the park. These trails are most likely somewhere between and blue and black that you may find at other DH parks. The first time I visited the park with Brian, we didn't even leave these trails and try any blacks!! Part because we were scurred, but mostly because we were just having too damn much fun on these!
Towards the end of the video I also had the opportunity to chat with one of the owners and builders at the park, Sean Leader. I think the conversation with him says so much about the park as he was an incredibly hospitable, humble, and fun guy. Not to mention he builds trail real good :P
Grab your favorite beverage, sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Livestream 12PM EST Today! Alex is hitting my North Shore drop so go to the nurse's office or tell your boss that something came up. It's going down! (I'll also be hitting it on an XC bike)
It's long overdue that I hit the Drama Drop!
Going to the nurses rn
Damn! Tried watching at work and my browser here doesn't support the live feed for some reason!
Are you going to publish it?
watched it from start to finish!!
I feel like STS is a completely different rider than when I first sub’d last year; bigger air, faster lines, overall an excellent rider. Can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2018!
Huck yea dude, thank you for that!! I'm workin' SO HARD on progressing my riding
You can definitely see it!
Goooooood morning, Singletrack Samplerrrrrr! How are you doing today, my friend? Looks like it's time for riding bikes! Let's go!
1:00 - you know, call me weird or whatever, but I really love it when my favorite RUclipsrs expand our view of their lives by including family. Hello Alex's younger brother! And hello to you, too, Dan!
3:08 - Man, I need to ride someplace that has berms. The only ones I've ridden were more created in part because they are the sides of ditch walls, not curves. Nothing like what you're riding here. I need to go further out than my local trails, man.
3:35 - Dude, how do you maintain control going that fast on a trail that steep? I'd be grinding my brakes at this point.
5:00 - didn't Seth just post a video about this park? I don't recall him going down this trail.
6:30 - Maybe this is the section Seth was riding...
8:00 - Good information to know. If I ever make it out to Tennessee, I now know where to go for good MTB.
8:36 - That dude is a lot more handsome than Randy Quaid (Christmas Vacation), but not nearly as handsome as you. If you're related, then he's your less attractive twin. Hahaha!
So I took a look over at Windrock's web site. Looks like they only have blue and then black diamond trails. No easy/beginner trails. That will be something to take into consideration, though based on what I saw on your video here Talledega looks easy enough for me. I will definitely have to try it out.
This was a really good view of their trails. Thanks for sharing it out. I hope you're doing well, Alex! I'm another week closer to getting back on the bike, myself. I'm hoping to get back in the saddle by the end of the year.
Stay upright and keep the rubber side down.

Man, how many times did I say STEEP in this video?? :P
I counted 7, not a bad effort Alex :)
The Singletrack Sampler what kind of travel were you riding here? I’ve got a 150mm trance. Think that’s enough for a park like this? I hit gravitron at alafia regularly, just never done real DH before.
Watching Alex traverse down these trails makes me think "I can do that", and then I wake up to reality.
Alex, 1st time I have ever made a comment on anyone's video. I started watching Seth's video's and it lead me to you, now I watch both. For me, this is the best video you have ever done. It was balanced, well rounded and informative. The combination of your personal commentary and the interview's of key subjects and a start middle and ending almost made the video feel like a story about Windrock bike park. Well done Alex, keep it up!!
Thanks dude - that is such an insanely awesome comment to read - I'm SO STOKED to hear that :D
I really like the feel of it too with all the different elements, and am working towards this being how most all of my videos are! Thanks again for the kind words
Check out Skills with Phil.
That third person shot of you @4:48 clearing that second table top... :O someone call the airforce, they are missing a pilot, because you were FLYING!
Windrock is really a special place. Hope more parks like this and new ones along the Northshore of BC pop up.
Oh man that place looks so awesome! The step downs/step ups on the first trail look rad -- my favorite style of flow. Gonna have to hit it up in 2018.
+The Loam Ranger man even coming from bc, I'm confident your will love this place
I'm inclined to believe you sir. Hey when are you finally gonna get yourself up to Canadaland?
Hahahahaha! Your brother in the "Flashdance" shirt making breakfast was killing me! I didn't see, did he have leg warmers too? Awesome, hahahaha!
Sick video. It's amazing how much your riding has progressed. Making it look easy!
Thanks homie!! Werk werk werk werk werk
I recently discovered your channel and i have to say you are a great personality to have in the biking community! Keep up the hard work.

Headed there July 4th weekend. Thanks for the dope video! Cant wait!
This dudes videos entertain the shit outta me.
Here I am up in Doylestown Pa waiting to complete elevator inspection and I get to watch this. Made my day!!
Spotted the back of my head around 5:08 hahaha as I said in Seth's video though it was good meeting ya that day man. Hopefully I'll see ya there sometime in the future. I might be getting myself an '06 stumpjumper this weekend, so stoked!!
Heck yeah man! Camera does not do those
jumps justice. So glad you got me back into riding in 2014. Lots of good times since and tons more ahead! \m/
Great video. Those berms were soooo nice. Looked like a lot of fun.
ALEX, that looks like SOOOO much fun man . thanks or sharing!
Stoked every time I watch.
you are improving by the second my man! getting so much more air on those jumps!!
Afonso Sousa i agree
Man... I wish there was stuff like this in south eastern Michigan. Looks so rad!
Seriously loved the sign-off with the gong. I laughed my ass off. Not quite sure why I found it so funny. Anyway, Windrock looks super-fun, especially Talledega! There are so many places I want to ride in the mid-west to the east coast. The difference in trail style from the west coast to the east coast is wild but they are all great.
Dude is getting better and better
That place looks awesome and not too far from Atlanta! Sounds like a road trip is in my future.
Definitely looks like it’s worth an 8 hour drive, even a flight across the country 🤔 Need to get out there. Sick video alex
Thanks guys!! You both would have a massive shit eating grin on your faces the entire time you rode out there, I guarantee it.
Windrick looks so Sick! Ill definitely have to get out there someday!

Crafters Brew Oak Ridge! So cool, glad you dug Windrock! #YEAHHHBOYYY
In fact I just bought my first mountain bike and its right in the middle of the winter here. Who cares! Can't wait to put all my gear together and get to go riding :)
Dude I'm watching your stuff since you have 5.000 Subs , and your riding skills have improved so much! Especially when it comes to Freeride stuff. You just need to hit some bigger stepdowns and drops to let your fear go away from this :D
Keep on Going Alex!. Greetings from Germany
+SoldierToBson yooooo what's up dude!!! SO STOKED that you've been along with me for this journey 👊👊 I agree, after the first few bigger things, I think I'll be able to elevate my riding even further!!🤘
That trail looks awesome! It would scare the living crap out of me because it's so steep and fast, but with some practice it would be a lot more fun. Way to shred dude!
Your flying jumps, looking real smooth in the air! I hope it rubs off on us!
+Andrew Rivera me too bro!!!
Great upload Alex.!
Bro! Be real, how baked are you at @1:40 in the video? You don't have to hide it from us. Most of us are baked right now watching this anyway. Well, at leased I am haha. Love this channel man, keep up the great work!
That looked so fun! You guys are so luck for being able to hit that kind of places. Cheers
You know it dude, and I'm so thankful any day I get to visit a place like this
Best for you !!
Another hit ride, another hit vid, another hit of stoke. I'm sending it asap.
omg the food and drink looks amazing, what are you dipping the prezels into?
Can't wait to see your videos on the Release 5C. Perhaps you should take it down to Windrock!
Cool man! i will check that when i get out east.
Great vid Alex. 👍🏼
Long time viewer, first comment. You are killing it!! This place is definitely on my list next year.
Yo that's awesome that this video inspired you to drop a comment man, I HIGHLY recommend you checking Windrock out, and if you do, don't forget to tell them you saw it here first!!

Absolutely shredding dude! Keep the killer content flowing. #LFRHGS
You know it Matt!! LFRHGS indeed my friend :P
always wanted to go to windrock. legit video!
You definitely won't be disappointed
The Singletrack Sampler yeah
If you haven't rode windrock XC (at windrock but not apart of the bike park) go do yourself a favor and ride there. Best enduro bike trails in TN.
Lol... The Sh*tter was full! Looks like a cool place to eat and another awesome video!
Thanks Xterra!!
That place looks gnarly. Wish I was there.
Smashed it this time! 💪
Being local to Windrock... maybe I should buy a MTB. I don't even ride one, just love you guys.
Great videos!! I’m heading to NC from MI and plan on stopping at the Cave and Windrock so far. I’m new to mountain biking but come from a motocross background. Was hoping you could shoot me some more ideas in NC to ride. Thanks again for the videos!!
Hey Tom, I have a whole playlist on the channel dedicated to NC rides, go check it out!
Windrock is still the most awesome natural feeling park I've ever been at, awesome video dude! I wish there was some way for the camera to capture the steepness.
I know right!!?? Dude the changes they have made to Taladega are so good too!
That was great to see, hope to make it at some point January.
Edit: Really sending those jumps, awesome riding.
I must ride those trails!!!!!
You are getting sooooo much better alex!! I can't wait to see what crazy phil S**t that you are hitting next summer!
Oh hell yea!! The NES take 2, wherever it happens, is going to be RAD!!!
Is there a chance you could be doing a Mid Atlantic Sampler? I would love to show you around some of PA's finest!
That place look crazy.
Are there any trails you could ride there on a hard tail? Beginner here, never been to a park? Awesome video thanks
That place looks great 👍🏼
SO GOOD!
you should have a playlist of great little places to eat on your travels
Love your (and Phils and Seths) videos. My son and I are relatively new (noobs) to MTB. It's been years since I really rode and he just got his first bike. Both HT. All I could afford right now. We live in Nashville, about 2 hrs from Windrock. Are there any trails noobs could ride without dying or having to walk the entire thing? Also, can you recommend some good gloves for us? Thank you so much for the great videos. Love your enthusiasm. My son really looks up to you, Phil and Seth. Keep up the great work!!
Omg, next amazing video with nice person (you) o absolutely like you, your bike and your look.
+Silver Žinčák 😁😁😁
Not sure which one of you it was but every time you hit the brakes I was cracking up. Sounded like a turkey that just got it’s bell rung lol
from one shawn MTBer to another kick ass I always thought of doing just that there
Windrock is on the list now!
You will not regret it
What time of year is best there?
honestly they are always working on the trails so they are always on point. As far as weather, spring is normally wet and July and August you might drown in the humidity
I love the look of that bike park, maybe too far to come from the uk though :-(
STS, I saw you switched over to Release 5c? I was thinking of getting one myself but fall in between sizes. Can I ask what size you got and your height for reference? Thanks keep up the good work.
Great video! How does this place compare to baileys in number of trails and difficulty.
It's about the same in terms of setup and trail numbers (perhaps slightly more), but the riding is definitely more raw and even steeper (believe it or not!)
Hey :) what's the pink jersey you always wear ?
that cut on your leg at the start looked gnarly keep safe
That was at the very start of the day, but it dried up and scabbed over, so was all good :D
then all is good by any chance will you ride i australia?
are you using wide angle or medium FOV?
awesome!
Was this filmed before the unboxing of the release 5c or have you not been able to transport the bike around
Filmed before!
7:35 those chillin guys..... :DDDDDDDDDDDD
Bro, have a question since you have ridden this...will a Fezzari Cascade peak with a fox elite 34 shock be able to ride this?
bro, what a weird place!! I mean, the restaurant... 😄😄
Great video, I’m kinda new to mountain biking but I like to push myself and progress. Do they have trails suitable to riders like me ?
They are putting in a new green/blue trail that will be fun I think, and there are also xc trails very close by on the property
I bought a 2017 stump jumper carbon comp in October. I have 35 miles on it due to me going to college. I was wondering if I would be able to use my Stumpy to do park or should I rent a bike?
+Drake Lenker dude the stumpy will be GREAT for park. My buddy Daniel was on a bike very similar
That looks damn steep, even on a gopro!!!
That flow trail looks like Disney land to me sickkk!!!!! Too bad it's 14 hours away from the frozen tundra over here.
While staying in Chattanooga if you haven’t gone to Hutton and Smith brewing you really have missed out on your trip. A lot more cool places, hit me up for recommendations.
why are there not more views on this video... its a great video
I was thinking of going up there solo in two days, being that I've only ridden in florida so far and despite being a psycho and sending everything, im a little frightened lol
Was that restaurant in Oak Ridge?
I was at that same bar earlier today.lol
Such a funky/ cool place right??!
Tell Seth to read the yellow sticker on the fork of the hardtail in the live stream
Going to be buying a van with my girlfriend to get out and ride more! Probably going with the Dodge Promaster 1500 like Hannahs or a bit older! Stoked wooooo
