The 12 Days of Christmas guys are the original 10 members from 1996 who recently reunited. Otherwise, they are just like any other college group, they lose members who graduate and replace them with new members via tryouts.
There's been plenty of comments on youtube about how folks prefer the original members. I must say, that this performance / recording is showing that this current group is growing to fit the reputation of those who came before. This is incredibly polished, tight, and difficult. Kudos.
This is a great group to listen to and see. No diva stuff here just good ol' college fun. AND, they are good at it. I am really happy that they are getting their due.

the lead singer in this song reminds me of the guy who sings crazy i cant remember that guys name at the moment but yea this is an amazing performance of an amazing song
I wish somebody would have recorded or put up stuff from the holiday concert because, aside from maybe the original group, that was their best performance at least in my opinion, and that is saying something because of how amazing every other group is
@DivaHelget They aren't. This group is Indiana University's Straight No Chaser. The group you saw is from IU as well, but they're signed to Atlantic Records. They are the original members of SNC. Well...6 of them are, anyway. ^_^ Members of SNC graduate every year at the college, so they have to audition replacements. All of the members in the Atlantic Records group have been members of IU's SNC...their graduation years range from 1998, to 2006.
I guess i'm looking for a group member past or present...but how do y'all afford to mic every one of your guys on a SM-58!? it gives y'all such a full sound, it's awesome.
well, unless you have perfect pitch (which it would be pretty awesome if you did), would you be able to tell that he was half a semitone sharp if all the rest of the group went sharp with him too?
It is pretty close to the greatness of the other guys... pretty liking this to be honest. But I think they just had more outrageousness, more quirkyness and harmoneys. This is just too normal. AWESOME THOUGH!!!!

that's because its not the same guys ... this group is the ones actually at IU ... the others moved on and are starting their music career

yeah.. i had the same thought.... it's just somehow not too tight with this group. But great job all the same.
the lead singer is permanently half a semitone sharp. should reconsider his tonal placement. may potentially cause the entire group to go sharp too.
