    A really nice video. Well prepared and expertly done. We need more like this on the 1050. I just got mine set up tonight so this is very helpful. Thanks!

      Agreed! I have .45 brass with both small primer pockets and large, but wasn't sure how to change just the primer system. VERY well done video, easy to follow, Thanks @Keyser Soze !!

    Excellent video. Well-made and very descriptive. This is one of the most difficult/time-consuming things to do, yet; you made it look very easy. I just subscribed because this looks like a very interesting channel. Thanks very much for sharing your knowledge with us.

    Right there is the reason I bought a 1050 with small and another with large primer, life is good with 2 1050 👍

    Wow this was so informative and exactly what I needed! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Very succinct with no back story BS or personal details. But I guess that how Keyser Soze rolls????

    Excellent video. Much less of a big deal than forums would make you think. I usually pull the two machine screws that secure the outer housing of the primer magazine, so I don’t have to disturb the clamp, or the primer slide stop. Generally my machine is due for a full clean/lube by the time I need to change primer size, so the time for a change over is really a non-issue.

      I love my 1050, but I would love to purchase an additional press so I wouldn’t have to change over at all! You can’t go wrong with two presses!

      Roger Gill sorry about that. I was trying to make sure the video wasn’t too long. I may do a video about that on its own. I have a Mark 7 on my machine now so it may look a bit different.

    I don't have a 1050, but it seems to me that if you have to remove the toolhead to change the shellplate for a cartridge change, you are halfway there on the primer size change anyway. This video makes the 1050 primer change look easier than on the 650 to me.

      He didn't change the shellplate, which is why I ask what is he loading that changes primers but uses the same plate?

    Do you find you need to re-adust your dies after removing and then re-assembling the 1050 tool head? Just curious.. thanks.. great video.

      breyton490 I got an idea from a guy on calguns. I created dummy rounds and filled them with resin. When it is time to switch loads, I would put the dummy round in to make the adjustments quickly. However, I now have a toolhead for each caliber I load.

    What is that 3d printed piece you have attached to the spring/slide housing where the shell drops?

    • @keysersoze7758
      @keysersoze7758  5 лет назад

      Are you referring to the green plastic piece? If so, You are talking about the case feed adapter. It comes with the conversion kit.

      Keyser Soze no, it's a wrap around that looks 3d printed and attached to the case slide bolt just below that

      Ohhhhh. Sorry I took so long to reply. That is a case feed stop. The one you see there I replaced because it started to flex too much. I now use the case feed stop from Inline Fabrication.

    Why change primers if using the same shellplate? What are you capable of dual purpose loading using the same platem

    • @keysersoze7758
      @keysersoze7758  2 года назад

      You may be loading 308, 7.62x39 or 45ACP and may want to switch to 556, 9mm, etc. You would need to swap the primers system from large to small.
