Over time it evolved from fully air cooled to an top mounted AIO to a full custom loop with 2x240MM radiators (with minor modifications to mount the top rad). Was surprised with the quality of the case for the price point and have recommended them to a few people that are looking into building their own rigs. The blue looks sharp too!

i really dont like the blue they picked for this case. Also dont like the rounding of the fans, but im not trying to convince you not to like it. Cant fault the price atleast. And its good to see less popular manufacturers getting more prominent.
One of my first computers 20 years ago used the case that Ultra later called the Wizard, deep blue metallic, even the plastic has metallic particles, and it has a blue UV reactive side window with chromed CPU and GPU intake covers!
That is actually an interesting case. I like the blue, and the case seems pretty thoughtfully designed. Equipping it with a full suite of fans is nice, as if it's a new build (or builder) you don't need to worry about mismatched fans or having to buy extras. The flipped fans is also a nice touch. The accessories pack is nice. If they made a mesh version of this in blue, I'd be tempted to use this for a new build. But i'm just not into the whole tempered glass thing.

Montech has been in the game for a minute. Their cases have been low budget but they have been getting better throughout the years. This case seems like an average builder case. I would love to see Jay max this case out with some high end parts, for fun lol. Also love the glasses!
So glad that PC case manufacturers are actually including the Bios beep speakers, the Bios beep is an insanely useful feature to have in my honest opinion, if you hear a single beep when booting-up your PC you will instantly know that's a good sign, cause it usually indicates a successful passing of all the P.O.S.T. routines before the PC actually boots-up.
I have an Aerocool Aero-1000 for years, that came with dust caps like these. I love them, since I don't use the front ports, and I'm the type of guy that puts tape on every open socket to prevent dust from getting in!
This case makes so much sense. I love the idea of the HDD being screwed in. How often do you actually swap your HDD? The ventilation and fan layout looks amazing.
I bought my own silicon IO dust caps years ago, pretty awesome though to see them included with the case, Bloody well done Montech! I hope this brand comes to Australia at some stage.
I am a fan of Montech as of about 2 months ago. I bought the Air 1000 case in white and absolutely love it. I even bought a second case for my wife. Then a friend was building a new PC and he went with the X3 case. Both very nice cases for less than $75. The RGB fans alone are worth the cost of the case.
In the last couple of years I've built over 40 PCs in Montech cases. My personal favorite is the AIR X with (2) 200mm ARGB front fans and (1) 120mm ARGB rear fan coupled with a full ARGB fan hub. Outstanding value in my opinion.
I'm really enjoying the current trend of aquarium style cases, allowing parts/builds to be shown off. The blue looks really fun to colour coordinate with.
Imagine if all the work, tooling, and money going into that was spent on making the internals strictly functional. Unfortunately all of these companies are into selling plastic Chinese trash for adult children to soyface over.
@@VndNvwYvvSvv what are you talking about? There's lots of options for if you want to make a strictly functional build and it's typically less expensive to do so vs a dolled up RGB build.
Asus used to give port plugs and covers like those you showed in the video. The asus X99 TUF SABERTOOTH came with USB, PCIe slot covers, and fake ram sticks to keep those clear as well. They also had pinblocks to make front panel wires to one block.
I have a the Montech air x case and I’m telling you man it’s one of the best designed cases it’s got plenty of space and easy to change out parts like replacing the fans, only issue I have with it is front to back it’s a little short so the aio I have in it had to go on front instead of the top like I wanted but in the end it ended up looking really good so it’s worth it plus it was $80
My wife and I purchased several Montech cases last year for some budget builds we were doing. I was very pleased with the quality of the cases and the price just couldn't be beat. $50 bucks each... holy moley!
TT has some cool color options on some of their cases. Check out their Tower 100 ITX tower, they have a nice blue like this as well as an Orange. Best ITX tower I've ever built in. They took the Silverstone vertical Fortress idea and made it better.
Having built a few system in this case for customers recently, I would like to add one thing though: Don't use individually sleeved cable for ATX 24-pin unless they are thin enough because the cable routing space is shallow, and the cable channel is only wide enough to fit standard modular cable unless you move front panel cable and fan cable to other places. And yes, definitely have to shove all the excess cable length in the bottom chamber. As for the bottom fan, it's not quite as choked up as you might think, I can still feel a lot of airflow even with half of the non-modular cable of TUF 750W PSU shoved under it. And finally, there is another case maker that does include rubber dust cover for front panel, it's FSP group with most of their CMT series cases and some others.
I just built in their Sky One for a Christmas gift and found it a great case, particularly for the price, which is even lower than this one. I liked it so much that now I'm building in the Sky Two. A blue one like in the review. A couple of things that Jay didn't mention which builders should be aware of. Depending on your mb's layout, cable fitment can be TIGHT. A USB 3.0 header that fires straight out the bottom is gonna be a problem. EPS cable up top with an AIO may cause issues. You wanna put a rad where the side intake fans are, you ain't fitting that monster GPU in there. (There's a reason that the ones shipped out for review also seem to have included the same air cooler for the reviewer to use.) A Sky Two 2.0 with juuuuuust a little more room all around would be a Hall of Fame case at this price point. Don't get me wrong, this is still a great case. You just have to be aware of its limitations when planning your build.
I had to cut some metal out of my sky one mini to get my USB header in. Also I've no idea how people fit the psu properly as there was no way to fit it naturally. Very tight fit but I needed smallest possible and the Asus Prime was a bit too long.
I bought this case a month ago for 80 USD (In Taiwan). It is really a brilliant case for this price. Also about the extra fan, I highly recommend anyone who buy this case to installing it. I'm still using a MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X 11G. Before install that fan my GPU temperature at maximum loading is 83°C. After install the fan it's temperature drop to 78°C, which is very surprisingly.
Well worth the money, nice features in that Montech case. I really like the integrated controller and the squircle fans. The last build I did was Lian Li O11 Air Mini and this layout has a pretty similar easy build feel. After years of glass I'm slowly shifting toward the high airflow cases... Very nice compact look without all the noise.
I have a Montech case on my first pc I ever built about a month ago! I have the Montech Air 100. I like most things about it: the pre-installed fans were helpful+ already daisy chained for me, the rgb is nice, airflow is great. My only complaint is how small it is. Everything seems very smushed, but I would assume that would be fixed by getting one of their larger towers. Which is something I will def do next time because the cable management was insanely difficult with how little space I have- The pre-done cable management was pretty much obsolete considering I had to undo a lot of it to connect my front panel controllers and be able to feed through my PSU cables. Overall, I like it, but would definitely consider a Lian Li or Corsair case next time over this one.
Standardized front panel connector shout out. That takes me on the way back ride where every darn time I bought a new case and motherboard it was a chore trying to match all the little pins in a zillion different orientations! Thanks for highlighting a cool value case.
When looking for a pc case I always shop for value (i.e. all fans should be included, good airflow & cost should be under £100). I recently bought a good value case that no one seems to review on popular RUclips channels. I bought an Antec df700 flux for £83 new, which comes with 5 fans (3 intake, 1 reverse for GPU and 1 out take). Having owned an antec 900 previously I think these cases are good value. Just another option for people to consider.
It's the first Video i'm watching you having glasses and we can tell they are new to you as you do exactly the same thing people do when they wear glasses for the first time, adjusting them (without even knowing) all the time :)
Back in 2019, I bought a "GOLDEN FIELD M3S" case from Amazon for a client which came with USB and Headphone jack dust plugs. I didn't know such a thing existed and promptly bought some for one of my machines where the front USB ports were _constantly_ getting plugged with dust.
I'm in an montech air 100 argb. I got mine for 75$(white) and it is a great value at that price. Surprisingly pleasant to build in for a budget-ish matx case.
I'm discovered this one on my own and bought it for my new pc, all parts will arrive next week, Thank you for the review! Cant wait to assemble mine =)
Great case review and awesome colour to show 🤩🤯🥰! - Montech the past 18 months has been coming in clutch with their case design, features and pricing! - Great to have different colour option for builders to personalise a pc more so than just black imo! - Quality of life features such as a combined motherboard header saves a few moments of annoying fiddling and accidentally pulling out of their cables as you try and get you pc power buttons etc connected are a great feature to have in todays crowded market! - As an ITX builder I much prefer smaller cases, but these newer mid tower designs and M-atx cases are looking soooo good that im considering my next build to go M-ATX 😱🤯🤩 - Montech is throwing in many fans (2-4) for a vg price into many of their pc cases without much additional cost which is great to see - Getting an RGB / Fan controller for $15-20 is a great value add considering big name brands are charging upwards of $40-60+ for their branded one …. They know who they are 🤦♀🤦💰😅😂🤣 Im sure there’s many other great things to feature here but these are my main things which I look for in my pc case purchase decisions!
I actually was considering Montech for my "cheap-ass" budget build.. it was close loss to another low cost manufacturer but did impress me... The case I chose had the advantage of a little more depth for cable management on the backside but I probably could have made the Montech work.
i find computers so interesting. i love watching shit like this even though im not even in the market to buy a computer case. i get just as excited about innovations with computer cases, cpu coolers, etc. as i do with gpus, and cpus. this still interests me even though this case didnt do anything different. you get my point. everything about computers peaks my interest.
I absolutely miss living near a Micro Center. T’was glorious, the one I used to live near had a Fry’s & QZAR < 2mi away (before they both ceased to be a thing).
Good to see the shipping armor they applied to the corners of the box. I often wonder how anything ever arrives intact after seeing the way most things are packaged.
I got the Montech DT24 Metal Premium cooler for my recent 13600k build. SUPER SICK cooler. Works great and I didn't even have to use both fans to get 75C @ 180w
16:38 "Will my cable clear the side panel? That's something we didn't have to think until this generation" I used to run an XFX RX590 "Fatboy" and originally I wanted to order it with a different case, but it wasn't in stock so I ordered a cooler master mb511 to go with it and the cable just *barely* cleared the side panel. Wouldn't even have worked with the original case I had in mind
I really like the fact that there is openings in the front side to the power supply and cables, makes cable management a lot easier.Always just think it is wrong just to push cable in to hide them.
15:04 That Strix would be cool if you mounted the extra fan where it was shown on the box. Well atleast until it gets filled with dust due to a lack of filters. End of video, I do want to see a white and blue build in that case. It would be a cool looking build and by cool I mean temperature. A winter theme build would be great even though Morocco is not known for winter sports.
That Morocco Blue does look really good. Excellent attention to detail when presenting the features of this case and comparing the case build to previous builds by Montech. Thank you!
I'd do a double reverse air flow. Rear intake across a vertical CPU cooler (212 type) Both fan slots on the bottom as intake. Then exhaust out the top front mounts. I really like cool-ish air from the basement into the GPU. With a modular power supply, and good cable management there's probably decent airflow to be had from the middle at least.
I have this case coming in the mail. As of now, Feb 6th, these special Sky Two fans (AX120/RX120) aren't available but they will be by the end of February.
Put my most recent build (11600, 32gb, 2x 2tb nvme raid0, 3070) in a Montech I found at MacroPeriphery and have been pretty happy with the build overall. Nothing bad to say about their build quality for sure- And I went with a white case, first time ever
Oooo it coming in blue makes me automatically put it on my future cases list. Always figured if I wanted a blue case i'd have to get a white and paint it.
I'm considering this case for a new build. Looks like it has good cable management and will hold all my existing drives. Really liking this shade of blue and worth an extra $20 for something I'll be looking at for 5-8 years. I had to look carefully at the fan blades on that exhaust fan to be certain it was not also a reverse fan that would cause all of them to blow inward! The only thing I'm not liking is the location of the USB ports on the top, but my current system has them there as well. Just doesn't work as well for me because of where I have the PC sitting on my desk.
Just gonna toss this out there, but back in I think 2020 or 2021they really helped me out. My GPU had started to die, so I shot over to Micro Center's site to look at graphics cards and found and equivalent to mine at a decent price, so my brother and I shot on over. Asked a clerk about it, and this being curing the crypto/work from home boom and lots of people buying PC parts I kinda feared the worst. Well my brother, who drove, and I ended up leaving with two GeForce RTS 3060 ti graphics cards and a new power supply at MSRP. I am SO glad Micro Center doesn't play around and to price fixing BS. More recently we went up and got a dust blower and an Ifixit kit, while gawking at all the other cool stuff including a racing simulator set up. Place truly is a toy store for big kids.
14:27 Yeah, that happened to me with my Silent Base 802 when I was feeding the GPU power cables through the grommet -- those cables are pretty bulky, and I found out the hard way that you need to be careful feeding them through in particular. No, I need to clarify after watching further -- the 802 grommet didn't rip apart, it just pulled away from its hole in the casing. The 802 grommets are much sturdier than the ones in this case seem to be, with much thicker rubber. I don't think it's possible to rip the actual rubber of the 802's grommets unless you really go at it. 19:38 Tell me about it! I was saying about my Silent Base 802? The first build I had (almost) no problem, but the second one it was so hard to get the back panel on. I swear Silent Base don't leave enough space for the cables, and at one point after about the 15th attempt I thought this isn't going to happen. Eventually I found out there's a knack to clicking the back panel into place (you have to push it in and then to the side, but really just pushing it in should be enough), but it's still a real pain -- or maybe there isn't a knack to it, more likely it was the back panel's foam finally relenting. It's not as if I could have tied or flattened the cables any closer in to the inner bulkhead. It seems manufacturers finally got the message that keeping the case cool is 99% of everything to do with its design.
In PC techers world there are a lot of min-maxers and that flows to vfm as well.... as a proud member of min-maxing pc buil's vfm this case is super extra awesome!!
PC Accessories idea: Rigid J and U-bend pin intermediary connectors, you connect the 24-pins from the psu to a female recepticle end, and its a single solid piece (sort of) doing a u-bend in a small radius to a male plug, save you trying to bend your psu cable and breaking it and/or the motherboard socket.
Another box. Test benches and what Lian Li tried to do with the Lian Li PC-T70. I need a revers case. (Motherboards don't play well with the reverse cases.) SO test bench flat but enclosed. I love seeing vertical mounts. "Few and far between."
I built my pc in a Montech fighter 500 and I love it, I removed the static fans that came in the case and install some cooler master rgb fans that could run off my board. But now for some reason you can only get this case on ebay, been thinking about building another pc in this case.
I kind of like the fans on the side instead of the front so you can see everything. I used an antec case but I like this one. My Antec case has the plunger things by the way
Nice, I just bought this case two days ago. Be advised the blue version he has is $120 at both Amazon and Micro Center as of when this video was posted. The black version is $20 cheaper .
I live near the ocean so I'm sitting here looking at that color and I actually love it because I think it would go amazing with an ocean themed custom build.
Yeah, the Montech is definitely on my radar now. I'm going to be building a flight sim box shortly, and was trying to figure out how I might "aviationize" a mid tower case. These removable mesh panels seem like just the ticket.
I've been doing a lot of Montech builds lately. Their old cases were sorta junk but you can tell with each new case they learn from their mistakes, and they keep getting better. For the price it's really hard to beat the quality you get now.

Oh nice! Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
@@Newarleenz Finally finished the project, posted it on Thingiverse
This case seems really decent for the price point. I'd love to see Jay finish a build using it.
MONTECH is the brand who often get overlooked, but their cases and coolers are really good. I appreciate you review their products !
I have an Aerocool Aero-1000 for years, that came with dust caps like these. I love them, since I don't use the front ports, and I'm the type of guy that puts tape on every open socket to prevent dust from getting in!
I've been waiting for someone to review their cases. I bought one for a build blind 2 years ago and was amazingly impressed.
This case makes so much sense. I love the idea of the HDD being screwed in. How often do you actually swap your HDD? The ventilation and fan layout looks amazing.
I bought my own silicon IO dust caps years ago, pretty awesome though to see them included with the case, Bloody well done Montech! I hope this brand comes to Australia at some stage.
here in the UK we can get the previous version, the Sky One in mid and mini formats.
That is a lot of case for $93. The reverse fans, the hub, the color, its really feature rich for that price point. impressive.
$50 bucks each... holy moley!
I'm liking that more manufacturers are coming back with color options. Reminds me of BitFenix cases that had color galore
Great video as usual. May we hope for a Fractal North review soon Jay ?
I’d love to see a build off series where everyone has the same case and major part but it’s up to the builders creative to make the most unique pc
I'd LOVE to see more companies make fans like this. Nothing worse than having to put the pretty side down.
I’m glad the beep is back, I have a 20+ year old speaker and cable from an old Antec case I keep in a draw for builds so I can have my beeps.
The Morocco Blue is gorgeous! Wish more companies would do more colors besides black and white.
*Lightbulb!* So THAT'S what those little rubber plugs are. I just got a Kolink Phalanx case.. and it has a few of those in the bag. nice!
The sky two has been my recent Dream case because i love the look of this. definitely gonna buy this very very soon
The blue is cool, blue/white build would work nicely. Case seems solid and has everything you need, looks like its worth the price.
- As an ITX builder I much prefer smaller cases, but these newer mid tower designs and M-atx cases are looking soooo good that im considering my next build to go M-ATX 😱🤯🤩
- Montech is throwing in many fans (2-4) for a vg price into many of their pc cases without much additional cost which is great to see
- Getting an RGB / Fan controller for $15-20 is a great value add considering big name brands are charging upwards of $40-60+ for their branded one …. They know who they are 🤦♀🤦💰😅😂🤣
Im sure there’s many other great things to feature here but these are my main things which I look for in my pc case purchase decisions!
Thanks for the 2 cents again, Jay. Bought my 3080ti the day you made that buy a card now video. And just got this case yesterday, lol.
What a lovely colour ! And great features for the price ! Please make a white build inside !
I absolutely miss living near a Micro Center. T’was glorious, the one I used to live near had a Fry’s & QZAR < 2mi away (before they both ceased to be a thing).
I really like the blue. This would make an awesome color themed build.
That's something we didn't have to think until this generation"
I used to run an XFX RX590 "Fatboy" and originally I wanted to order it with a different case, but it wasn't in stock so I ordered a cooler master mb511 to go with it and the cable just *barely* cleared the side panel. Wouldn't even have worked with the original case I had in mind
I really like bios speakers, there's something so satisfying about hearing that beep on start up
I made builds for several friends using montech cases. You can not beat the value. Especially because you get fans included with most of their cases.
Thank you!
It's way too baby blue for me and looks like it belongs in a baby boy's room. A deeper more purple royal blue would be drastically more preferable.
YES WHITE AND BLUE BUILD PLEASE
I love that color combo
The blue gives it a much more industrial look than standard black or white.. Really cool!
Looks like your enjoying the LTT screwdriver. Watching you use it makes me want one. Very quiet, looks very light.
The GameMax Silent case comes with those plugs. It's a budget priced but very good quality sound dampened case. Hidden gem imo.
This thing would look killer in a dark plum sort of purple with some blue lighting!
I've actually kept my bios speaker from ages ago and it's served me well. Especially when I didn't have a diagnostic indicator on my motherboard.
5:49 "So it looked like rainbow but it didn't move".
When your rainbows don't move, their may not be a pot of gold. 😁
In PC techers world there are a lot of min-maxers and that flows to vfm as well.... as a proud member of min-maxing pc buil's vfm this case is super extra awesome!!
Looks like a pretty decent little case, love the color. I agree, white parts would look awesome in it.
(Motherboards don't play well with the reverse cases.)
SO test bench flat but enclosed. I love seeing vertical mounts. "Few and far between."
11:03 That "beep" was pretty accurate
I built my pc in a Montech fighter 500 and I love it, I removed the static fans that came in the case and install some cooler master rgb fans that could run off my board. But now for some reason you can only get this case on ebay, been thinking about building another pc in this case.
I kind of like the fans on the side instead of the front so you can see everything. I used an antec case but I like this one. My Antec case has the plunger things by the way
For the plug caps, most ANTEC cases include them. Really handy for server/htpc setups, or dusty environment.
Would like to see a value custom build in that case , the color of the case gives a really nice chance for multicolor modding. Nice video as always.
Nice, I just bought this case two days ago. Be advised the blue version he has is $120 at both Amazon and Micro Center as of when this video was posted. The black version is $20 cheaper .
Really like Montech. Using Montech Air X myself. Nice case, and a great build quality for your buck.
I live near the ocean so I'm sitting here looking at that color and I actually love it because I think it would go amazing with an ocean themed custom build.
I have two Montech cases they are pretty awesome. They have very nice features, are high quality, and are available at very low prices.
13:48 Pimp my Ride vibe - LCD everything :D
Yeah, the Montech is definitely on my radar now. I'm going to be building a flight sim box shortly, and was trying to figure out how I might "aviationize" a mid tower case. These removable mesh panels seem like just the ticket.
That blue would make a great base for a gulf livery style build for a sim rig
I ordered the blue Sky Two, thanks for your review - love your channel!
Gonna do a blue and white build 🙂
