Hi Becky from England. Minds think alike even thousands of miles apart. I have spent most of today doing pasta, chili, and ragu sauce based meals to freeze. I did one just for my self because I honestly didn't think my hubby would eat it. He did and then proceeded to eat half of mine also. As well as the one I did for him.
I used left over chicken shredded it with shredded crab sticks. The sauce was a mushroom base with peppers red onions shredded carrots and broccoli stems and oyster mushrooms I mixed it with a garlic and herb crème cheese. With mozzarella, monetery jack cheese. Cheddar and parmesan and crème fresh. Linguini pasta added and I loved it. I do love this channel. You make it welcoming and I want to try the things you make which is always a good sign. Thank You Becky you live a busy life but one that is rewarding.

If you add little water to the bacon it helps render the fat and when it cooks of the bacon browns very quickly. It works really well when making bacon bits, I cover the cut up bacon in water and it let it cook.

Add some bottled artichokes with a splash of the marinade in which it comes to your sauce in your vegetarian pasta. My wonderful husband adores it. We aren't vegetarian but meatless Monday makes me creative. He says in 43 years of wedded bliss he has only had 3 meals that he found inedible. I rarely cook with Vietnamese flavors, but on those 3 occasions he took the family out to dinner rather than eat the Pho, the Vietnamese crepe and the pad thia (it's because fish sauce smells SO BAD when you first use it in the dishes). I'll never tell him what it is that puts him off so much because the kids, grandkids and I will eat that food for lunch the next day. He even eats the pad thia the next day because the smell is gone.🤣😅😂. I love watching your channel. I think your family is adorable but miss seeing your husband, Josh. I can only suppose he is caring for your son while you record. Your parents are adorable as are your in-laws. Keep moving forward because so many people enjoy you and your projects.

Been enjoying your videos and have gotten so many great tips from you! Here is a tip I would love to share with you, always wait for the water to come to a boil before adding your salt. If you add salt to the cold pot, the salt will go straight to the bottom of the pot or pan (sink( and eventually you will see 'spots' when washing out your pot from the salt sitting down there. When poured into the boiling water, it will automatically mix in and dissolve :)

As I was watching this video, my teenage (aka always starving) son came downstairs and said he fancies pasta (not knowing the topic of the video). Being 11PM here in Northern Ireland I sent him back to sleep with a wrap in his hand and a promise to cook pasta tomorrow. Hoping to please all 6 of us with one of your recipes. 🤞

My brother saved our lives when he was a starving teenager. He got up about 2 in the morning to “make a couple sandwiches” and the house was on fire. Very blessed he was hungry!

I LOVE breadcrumbs with pasta. I have made close to the lemon without capers, but with fried mushrooms, lots of paprika and on spiral pasta which picks up the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese really well.

Now that’s bacon like we have in Scotland, I see a lot of very fatty bacon in American shows

Most of what you get in the store is very fatty

Fun fact: American bacon and Scottish bacon come from different parts of the pig: belly vs back, respectively. The back is used for the pork tenderloin cut in America. I lived in Ireland for a few years and was bit surprised when I ordered bacon at a restaurant the first time haha. 😂

I just happened to have a mostly full jar of capers, fresh lemons and parsley and no idea how to use it. Made the lemon caper pasta tonight alongside lemon herb chicken on the grill (rare 60 degree day here in PA) and it was SO GOOD!
Next time I’m going to modify it by adding some white wine in as well and maybe sliced banana peppers from last years garden.

Hi Becky, all look very good but the one that I think I will give a try is the bacon and tomato one! Love watching your eyes light up!

I love love love all Beckys videos. I have learned a ton and have made many many of your recipes. I have a whole BECKY section in my cookbook binder 😊. I love the long format. I turn it on and cook my family’s dinner along with you. I have been a follower for years. BUT the chewing noises in the microphone is way more than I can handle. (Maybe the microphone has been upgraded??). When it comes to taste testing I am racing to my iPad to mute the sound or ripping my ear bud out. I’m probably the only one…sorry!

The last dish is very Italian and very fresh I make it with anchovy cause I don't like capers even if my garden is full of them, I use also the peel of the lemons.

Viewers, you don't have to buy the best ingredients possible. If what you can afford is the cheapest of ingredients, then get the cheapest of ingredients. Cooking from scratch is almost always healthier than fast food regardless of how much money you spent on sausage and broth, and you're doing your best and it'll still taste fine. You do not need to spend 30$ on a wedge of fancy parmesan cheese. Buy what you can afford. I don't even know why Becky felt the need to say that. Most dishes have 5-8 ingredients. This isn't anything special in that regard.
