My mother and I always watch your videos together. If she wasn’t in the room, I would shout “Mother, Beckys on” and here she would come. She passed away in July. With each new video you post, I still find myself shouting, “Mother, Becky’s on”. We love your content and your family. Thank you for all you do.

Great idea. I change my mind so quickly. This is a perfect idea to make sure I will want to keep things this way. My husband will be excited for me saving money on labels. 😂
I love my scotch tape holder/label maker. It labels stuff in the fridge and all preserved foods (mainly freeze dried jars that I use on a regular basis). I used to use a permanent marker on jars (which I still do when I'm freezing jars, as it scrubs off easily), but tape is another fun way to help everyone in the house know what's in the containers in the fridge!!!!!!!!!
Importantly all your followers are beautiful people and I read all of their uplifting comments. This place you have created on you tube to share with us is phenomenal. As a psychologist I can tell you that the peace, fun, laughter and companship you have created for your followers is improving their mental health and providing a sense of belonging and shared emotional connection. Keep it up Becky and family as I believe your channel is so much more than you expected it to be for people. Thank you to for being y you for being you Becky.
I have used deli containers in this way for almost 17 years! It’s easy to replace if one breaks, it’s cheap, and because they stack and use a universal lid, they are much more functional in use! We keep sharpies in different drawers of the kitchen just to label these deli containers. If I need to re-label, I just scrub the marker off with the green side of a scrubby, and it takes the marker right off. Nothing special needed. We use these absolutely everywhere! To store spices, store leftovers, and to organize generally. It’s worked so well for almost 20 years that I don’t see myself changing systems.
Honestly Becky, whether you are cooking or puttering around the house and bringing us along, I think we all are just honored that you bring us into your home. Regardless of the content of the video, we just like hanging out with you. Much Love. ❤
Hey everyone. We bought a property 10 years ago in Tasmania Australia. I have been held up with illness and operations and caring for my parents. I used to watch Becky gardening with her folks with my dad. He passed away in May and my mum is unable to live at home due to a severe head injury from a fall. So, now I have some time to think about it, my husband and I are going to build our veggie garden. Thanks to Becky and Josh we have a beautiful garden as a plan. Thankyou to you both. So excited. Becky you are inspirational.
I think the person who designed your kitchen must have been a baker and a good cook. Just like you. I think you were lucky to find that house when you were looking. Between the kitchen and the pantry and the ability to have your dream garden, you hit the jackpot. You have said you are going to have your kitchen remodeled. I’ll be watching with great interest. 😊
I just wonder what the person kept in those custom false front drawers that Becky keeps her baking supplies in. Maybe they had fancy spice containers or something. I'm so curious!
@@misssagacious ooh maybe!! That's a great suggestion, especially since the drawers seem to be a custom size and more square than normal, so I can see them holding those big coffee table type cookbooks that more famous chefs put out.
A black felt pen will easily write on the plastic containers. You can spray the barkeepers friend powder slurry on the oven door with vinegar and the chemical reaction will lift the brown baked on stuff. Just wipe off with towels and rinse again with vinegar. Clean kitchen sink this way too to get an awesome shine. I keep yeast in fridge to help extend expiration date.
I am in bed, watching you. It is Dec. 1st, 1:55 a.m. and I just GIGGLED out loud, when you took out one empty egg carton, then pulled one carton out with just ONE egg in it, from your refrigerator. One of my daughters lives with me, and breakfast we eat at different times. (I am a retired nurse, used to work the night shift, so I am usually awake until 4 a.m. am 81 now, will I ever get to sleep regular hours?) Anyway, thanks for taking us along or your reorganization! I enjoyed it a lot! Thanks, Josh, for being her label maker! Hugs to you both……Bev in Maine

I just love to see when Becky and Josh. Helping each other it's so sweet, and Josh always get the impossible done. Love you both so much, you made my day every time❤🙏👍
I watch from Sweden and I want to thank you for putting your very educational and still nice and family cozy content up in the air for us to follow along. I love you parents and it's like a little extra treasure when you and your mother works together, she really has some organizational skills when it comes to hosting! You and your channel have really made me realize that it isn't possible to live my life with full time job, commuting, 5 horses on the premises with everything that goes with that, growing vegetables in the summer and having time for family without some serious planning (who would have thought 🤣?) and so I've now come to a point where I know what I need to prepare for what and I'm starting to get a system in place. Your freezer meals days as well as your 5 meals has been very helpful and I'm very surpriced to now find myself at a point where I would wish you had a playlist for settting your tables and decorating! I never did get to that point before. Thank you again and give my thanks to the rest of the involved persons as well. I wish you all great holidays.

I was wondering if you had any hidden treasure recommendations of places to visit that the average tourist wouldn't usually know about? Thank you for your assistance! I do the same system, same, containers and label them as well. However, I ALWAYS put the expiration dates on there as well. Then when I have to refill, I add the new expiration date to them. I love this system...works for me. Everything looks great Becky.
I enjoyed the simple but interesting content of this video. It has thought process, cleaning, organization and baking. I'm not a fan of sourdough but surely would like to try this loaf. It's wonderful to see Josh willingly helping you and then you both enjoying the bread and spending that time together. Becky, I'm so grateful for your channel and for sharing your life with us.
Here I am, watching Aunty Becky and Uncle Josh with my 19 months old grandson . Saturday afternoon entertainment and it wasn't disappointing! We love you, Arce family!❤❤❤
I’m having a bad mobility day today, and spending time with Becky in the kitchen is feeding my soul! I love your honesty and the tips and saving ideas are so wonderful! Thank you for letting me tag along! ❤❤❤❤
great motivation...thanks. Just a note, be very careful washing any of your plastic containers in the dishwasher. I always wash by hand because the dish washer tabs can have very strong wash and rinse agents that the plastic absorbs...🤢 and can transfer to any food that is stored. I hate flour that tastes like soap!
I’ve found some of my silicone things also absorb the washing machine detergent. I wondered why my grandson wasn’t eating his fave foods. When I tasted what was in the bowl it tasted like soap! Same with the silicone straws and nipples. I refreshed them by soaking in a little white vinegar and hand washing.
@@diablomom yes!!! agree totally I washed a silicone storage thing in the dishwasher and ruined it with the soap taste the vinegar trick didnt even work bummer
With your leftover wine, you could put it into ice cube trays and freeze them. Then put in a zip lock bag when you need to a bit of wine to your dishes. I don’t drink and there are so many recipes that say wine. I would like to try once just to see if it improves the taste.
I put two lazy Susan’s in my fridge for condiments and miscellaneous stuff. It works great and you can find stuff easy. I got clear sided ones on Amazon.
I’ve just done a similar exercise. I used square clear containers from Kmart. I also used Maccona coffee jars for things like nuts, choc chips and seeds. I also have a set of drawers from Bali, with 20 shoe box size drawers. I keep things like cupcake cases, colours, flavours, cutters piping bags, nozzels and all baking equipment in it. Each has its own drawer. It is so good to organise your kitchen.
❤❤ I have been on a sourdough journey! All I think you need is more surface tension to get a better spring and Rise . When shaping at the end turn the dough and pull towards yourself before putting it in the basket. If it al smaller amount of dough use a smaller basket ❤ 😊
I’d knock out those wooden dividers in the drawers. It would give you more space. You could buy a frosted plastic film to put on the windows so the things inside aren’t visible. Space is a premium and you would be surprised how much useless space you’d gain when the wooden dividers are out.
Get nice glass jars that fit in the front window part of your drawers for all your baking liquids (oils, extracts, syrups , molasses ) I find if things are in the same type jars it looks and feels more organized and I think it will look nice
I love that you are repackaging into containers that will help you become more organized. With so many recalls, what I've done lately with my freezer and storage foods, is cut who the manufacturer is, along with expiration date, time, and where I purchased it and slip it into the container. That way I don't need to guess where and when I bought something. I love, love, love every video you do for us. Will we ever get to meet all of your siblings? I think you quickly showed some family members on a video when you had an outside dinner. Thanks Becky!
Becky I love watching you cook and bake, today I decided to have the gas range oven self clean, I did whip out the oven and then had to find the instructions on starting the cleaning of the oven ! 30 minutes later I found the instructions And it did clean! My daughter who lives 90 miles away that will be coming here to make Christmas cookies and candies in mid December, so we can start with a clean oven! At my mid 80s I’m still learning from you and others that are on RUclips. Watching you have ingredients all out and preparing, is helping me , as my energy level is slowing down! Thank you❤
I found a little hint with sourdough……don’t take it out of the fridge and score it till about 10 minutes before your Dutch oven is ready….it holds it shape better and not so floppy putting it in your pan. Plus if you’d like to make a cool score it’s firmer. I’m so glad you’re trying sourdough bread!
Hi, Miss Becky👋 A little old granny showed me that for sourdough it is easiest and fastest to use rye flour to make a starter. Just mix rye flour and water and leave in warm place overnight. Then just add in your wheat flours and bake. You can keep your starter in fridge after it blooms. She said it can also be kept in there before blooming, but process is alot slower then.
Packing tape (clear) sticks beautifully over the label tapes. 🥰 Bend a corner over so that if you want to, you can easily peel it off later. Also, labelling the lids makes grabbing faster, and avoids cross contamination when you are using multiple containers, as we do when baking. I love your deli container idea!!!
For organizing with plastic containers, I find square ones work better than round. Drawers and freezers and shelves are square, and you'll fit more containers in the space. Also if you notice deli containers get smaller at the bottom which wastes space. My first kitchen was so small, there was only one drawer so I had to eek out every inch of space.
Perfect timing, I really needed some Becky today, cuz Im not having the best day mentally & in some pain, so I can always count on Becky putting me in a great mood no matter what. She's my bff she just hasn't ever met me 😂❤!
Great job, Becky! You've motivated me to do a clean out of my kitchen. And well done on the sourdough bread. I restarted my sourdough journey a couple of months ago and it is addictive, especially when it turns out well! My one suggestion is to store all your yeast in the freezer, even the container you are currently using. My yeast is way out of date but because I've always kept it in the freezer, it works just fine.
Thanks for bringing us along & giving me inspiration to get more organized! I’ve received lots of good ideas from you & I don’t do near the amount of cooking/baking that you do! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦🌻
I must admit that I felt good when you said you had 4 containers of corn syrup because this weekend I was taking to my daughter about how many multiple of spices I have. You do such a good job of encouraging people to improve their work areas. Thank you for your inspiration.
Looks great! I've heard that the sourdough keeps a bit longer if you cut it from one side to the other, not starting in the middle. Mine go moldy after like 4-5 days since there's no preservatives. Just a tip for if you're not going to go through it quickly. Also I've found that the starter stays good enough in the fridge for about a month that you can feed and use it the next day. When I haven't used it all summer, it takes 2 feedings to get it active enough to use.
As I said before. ..you are awesome! When I start to clean, I usually get distracted and start cleaning elsewhere, then I turn around and I see the mess I created and want to cry....I then say a prayer and ask the Lord to please help me to finish what I started, next thing I know my room or the area that needed cleaning is spotless and of course I want to cry cause it was all God who helped me!
Your sourdough looks lovely! It doesn’t look under proofed at all to me. The kitchen reset was a homerun. You have inspired me to do the same. Thank you.😊
Labelling is important. Last week I made cookies and thought I had added brown sugar to the butter. It was only when I started beating it and saw it was really hard and crunchy that I discovered that I had accidentally added bulgur wheat !
Thanks for walking us through how you clean out your drawers and refrigerator Becky. I always feel overwhelmed when I do it so it's nice to see other ways to take on the task 😊
Grease pencils work great for labeling containers. Easily erased when need to update the expiration date of whatever is in the container. Even use on my plastic egg holder in the fridge so know best by date.
I bought those bamboo drawer dividers for my cooking tools after your last reset/organization and absolutely love them!!! I have a wide drawer like that and struggled for a couple years until I got those dividers!
I think the labels should have gone on the lids. Easier to read looking into the drawers. Everything looks great. You have given me the incentive to get busy in my kitchen. Good job Becky. 😊
Hi there, happy Christmas preparations to you and your family. Hot day here in New Zealand and I'm just inside taking a break from gardening. Am planning on planting a cucumber later when the sun is not so hot on the garden. That's December for us! I love how we'll sorted out for cooking your kitchen is. Your organisation seems to make things look easier and more fun. I smile when I watch you cook, you cook for a multitude, I cook for 1 (mostly)! Have a blessed Christmas time.
I love the fact that you are so kind with the reality of what a used kitchen looks like at times. I used to follow a girl that calls her followers dirty and triflin’ if their fridge doesn’t look like hers does. In one post she’s all teary eyed and thankful for her followers and I. The next she’s bragging about how she’s a chingona (badass) and how you’re nasty if you have a dirty, unorganized kitchen cabinet, etc. I gave up on her cuz I and many other women don’t always have time to clean/organize they way they want and having a person they at one time admired, turn around and call them names is not good. You recognized that there’s a time to cook and there’s a time to clean. I love it. THIS inspires me. Thank you!!!!! Now I just need you to come here to Maryland and give me ideas on where to start😂😂😂😂😂
I love watching your videos! You motivate me to always do more than I feel like doing. At 70 that's a good thing. Thank you So much. God bless you and your family. ❤
Hi, Becky. I usually use the cream masking tape to label the containers. I use those deli containers myself too. I. Keep a retractable sharpie marker and hand label them because sometimes the products can change.
Just decided to sit down and watch the video, finished my coffee and I was off into my kitchen to organise and clean ! 2 hours later the kitchen is a disaster 😢as Becky said, sometimes it gets worse before it get better ! Thanks for the inspiration ❤xx
I love these containers, but use them in my freezer for soups, chili, sauces and cookies. My kitchen is small and cupboard spaces is linited. I've found that round containers take up too much wasted space. I use rectangular, stacking containers for my baked goods, cereals, etc. So much better and no wasted space. I also use a small lazy susan in the cupboard for my vinegars/oils and on the top shelf in my fridge for some of my pickled items. No reaching behind things. I love watching your videos Becky!
If I put something in a plastic container like you, I use a Sharpie pen or a dry-erase pen. You can quickly clean them off, usually with hot soapy water or alcohol pads. It is nice to see that other people get stuff spilled in kitchen drawers, I enjoyed your video.
Yea! Another Becky video 😊 Man, I dream of having a kitchen like yours. I ❤all the storage. I have those exact containers your store your flour,sugar,etc...and they are the best. Thanks for sharing. 😊😊
I always enjoy when you invite us all into your home and let us hang out with you while you are getting your work done. You are an insperation to us all. I enjoy learning from you. Love your cleaning and organizing video's. As well as gardening, cooking and baking.
Haha! Been meaning to organize my fridge the last 3 days. Just paused the video when you found the big tub of Greek yogurt. It reminded me that I also had a big tub (32 oz and it's just me!) of Fage 5% chilling in the back of the fridge on the bottom shelf. Bought it for Greek chicken and tzatziki sauce (plus a few snacks or breakfasts) that also didn't get made. Jumped right up and grabbed the chicken out of the freezer and tossed it into the fridge to defrost for Monday. And now I'm going to finish watching as I enjoy a dish of yogurt drizzled with honey. Thanks to Future Becky for the timely reminder! ❤
One good organizing tip is to use what you have open before you open a new one. Like your corn syrup, organic or not, use it before it goes bad. Masking tape and a sharpie will work for making labels.
I love your videos. I made the pitas you made in a prior video and just finished pulling the last two pitas out of the oven. They look and smell so good!
I just did my big cupboard I keep all of my baking dishes, lids, etcccc… what a job. With Christmas baking & Thanksgiving dinner being done this year it was so nice grabbing everything I needed & nothing fell on me! 😂 I love a nice, clean & organized home too, Becky. Next, my fridge. 😬 You made my evening tonight … so nice watching your videos. ♥️ I can’t wait to watch you bake cookies! I got a new cookie recipe I can’t wait to make this year.
Becky, what I do (and what many chefs do) to label food containers is to use masking tape or blue painter’s tape and a sharpie lol not the prettiest, but cheap and fast! It sticks great to those food containers you have and can easily be removed. 🤗
Becky.. look in to lock and lock.. they seal sir right water tight and stack so easy.. they have many sizes and shapes.. I like square and rectangle so they manimize space. They even have spice containers..
Becky, it's my understanding that yeast is best kept refrigerated, even frozen. May be wrong, but seems like the label recommended that and I saw it on a cooking show once.
You will get a better oven spring on your sourdough if you wait until your oven and baking vessel are preheated, then put your bread in the oven straight from the fridge, after you score it of course.
Not a day goes by that I don't set time aside to watch your videos. You are without a doubt my inspiration to continue plugging away at this thing called life. Thank You! 🙏
Loved, "If you don't change the system, you end up with the same results". Super love you sharing what your kitchen drawers look like... like everyone else's 😊
Hello Becky. I'd love if your mom would show her quilts and sit down quilting machine. I'm in the market for a quilting machine but I'm just not sure which one would be best. Do you think she'd mind doing that?
Becky, I just love your videos. I missed so many due to our own thanksgiving festivities and the family sickies! But today I binged the last 5 or so videos. Just love your family. I’ve never missed a video since you started. ❤
I love making for dough bread!! I find it best to use 1 part fresh milled 2 parts bread flour. ❤ homemade bread is so much better for you than store bought. ❤😊
I'm happy that your sourdough came out so good! I had one attempt and it was an absolute disaster... And you reminded me that I also have to clean my fridge!
I use basic beige masking tape and a black sharpie to label my goods in both glass and plastic and it works very well. I like the look even on the glass jars. Looks kind of vintage.
I used rice flour in the Banton and the bottom of the Dutch oven. Don’t use parchment at all. Also it took many loaves and lots of RUclips videos for me to perfect my technique. Don’t give up it’s challenging and better for you!! Thank you for your videos you are inspiring me to try new recipes!
20:20 There is also a 24 oz size of the Deli containers which comes in handy sometimes. From experience, don’t mix and match sizes or reorder from different brands/sellers as the lids are not always interchangeable. Just stick with one brand/seller.
My mother and I always watch your videos together. If she wasn’t in the room, I would shout “Mother, Beckys on” and here she would come. She passed away in July. Becky don’t store things to long in the plastic containers because the item will pick up the plastic smell. That type of container is meant for short term storage.
I think that it's right, and I wonder if it is air thigt. insects? humidity?
I imagine for the amount of baking and cooking that Becky does whatever is in the containers won't have time to pick up a "plastic" smell??

@ I had to throwaway my expensive silpats after my homegrown veggies I roasted tasted like soap. I could not fix them.
With your leftover wine, you could put it into ice cube trays and freeze them. Then put in a zip lock bag when you need to a bit of wine to your dishes. I don’t drink and there are so many recipes that say wine. I would like to try once just to see if it improves the taste.
The new storage containers worked beautifully. The bread looks yummy. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
My dear Becky, you are so genuine and honest. I love every video you put out. Thank you for taking me along.
I put two lazy Susan’s in my fridge for condiments and miscellaneous stuff. It works great and you can find stuff easy. I got clear sided ones on Amazon.
Thank you so much showing real life examples. Am very glad you're not fake.♥
If you stick the labels onto white painters tape first, then cut to size, it will stick to the plastic containers. I’ve done this and it works.
I was literally checking to see if you have uploaded, and this happened. I love your energy. Thank you for being consistent 😊
Im also doing a deep clean of my kitchen, living the dream lol. Have a truly great day friends x
God bless everyone on this Sunday morning. With love from Australia 🇦🇺
I know you use your baking supplies pretty quickly but I have found out when you decant it is wise to put the expiration date on the container. 😊
Thank you❤
That’s so sweet! How awesome to be 80 and still going at it! Such a blessing
Hi, Miss Becky👋
A little old granny showed me that for sourdough it is easiest and fastest to use rye flour to make a starter. Just mix rye flour and water and leave in warm place overnight. Then just add in your wheat flours and bake. You can keep your starter in fridge after it blooms. She said it can also be kept in there before blooming, but process is alot slower then.
The view out that kitchen window is breathtaking!
I cut the name of the product off the original container and use packing tape to put them on my preferred container 😊
@@carollynescobie1021 That will help in finding the product again when shopping after a long time. I really like your idea!
@ 🌸
@@carollynescobie1021 Me too 😊
For organizing with plastic containers, I find square ones work better than round.
Tip: You can close those deli containers by pressing in the middle of the lid.
might be a little easier, hope this helps.
I use those containers too. If you put the labels on top you have the option to either downsize or upsize according to amount you have in stock.
Your sourdough looks lovely! It doesn’t look under proofed at all to me. The kitchen reset was a homerun. You have inspired me to do the same. Thank you.😊
I can’t wait for you to show us the sourdough journey! I want to follow along with you!
But if the lids off you won't know what it is
Hi there, happy Christmas preparations to you and your family.
I am so happy you do days like this! It makes me feel like I am normal! My drawers and kitchen get a little gross and needs tlc! 😊
By the way, you can just write on those containers with marker. Alcohol takes if off if needed.
If I put something in a plastic container like you, I use a Sharpie pen or a dry-erase pen. You can quickly clean them off, usually with hot soapy water or alcohol pads. It is nice to see that other people get stuff spilled in kitchen drawers, I enjoyed your video.
Andreac...I'm so sorry for your loss. My moms 91, & went to the hospital after Thanksgiving. Prayers please 🙏🏻 😞
Thank you Becky for that great tip to keep a tea strainer in your powdered sugar for dusting. You are so clever! I really enjoy every video you do.
The deli containers are great, but l find they are too hard to open & close on a regular. Hope they work for you. God bless you all. 🙏🏻
Thank you Becky for inspiring me to do the same in my kitchen. I’ve been putting it off but the result is SO worth the effort. 😊
Yea! Another Becky video 😊
Man, I dream of having a kitchen like yours. I ❤all the storage. I have those exact containers your store your flour,sugar,etc...and they are the best. Thanks for sharing. 😊😊
Becky, when you get organized, I get organized! You are such a motivator!!😊
Great job, Becky and Josh! I love those containers and am green with envy over those drawers!
I still love your kitchen! Never change the design,it functions more than most kitchens
That was a very inspiring video. Headed into my kitchen to reorganize. Thanks Becky!
I just did my big cupboard I keep all of my baking dishes, lids, etcccc… what a job. With Christmas baking & Thanksgiving dinner being done this year it was so nice grabbing everything I needed & nothing fell on me! 😂
I love a nice, clean & organized home too, Becky. Next, my fridge. 😬
You made my evening tonight … so nice watching your videos.
I love the deli containers. I use the square, they lock/seal & stack so much nicer.
You will get a better oven spring on your sourdough if you wait until your oven and baking vessel are preheated, then put your bread in the oven straight from the fridge, after you score it of course.
I am going to put my cupcake liners in container like you did. Great idea! Thanks
Not a day goes by that I don't set time aside to watch your videos. You are without a doubt my inspiration to continue plugging away at this thing called life. Thank You! 🙏
This video came at a great time! I kinda had a rough day and this helped me kinda snap out of my funk. Love ya Becky!!!
If you’re trying to get that last bit of moisture off of a plastic container quickly, you can use a blow dryer to evaporate any liquid left.
Keep your yeasts in the fridge including the brewers yeast, it keeps them dormant until ready to use.
I love making for dough bread!! I find it best to use 1 part fresh milled 2 parts bread flour. ❤ homemade bread is so much better for you than store bought. ❤😊
I think it's fun to organize and have it work when you're done!
Beckyyy! Your vids make my heart HAPPY! Thanks for sharing all of the yumminess 🤤. God bless you and your family!
Kudos to the previous owners for designing such a fantastic kitchen! Easy to clean, functional and perfectly organised ♥
This process has raised the phrase”cutting a swath” through something to a whole new level. AMAZING!
