    Cadgwith, what can I say. I'm lucky enough to have visited over 40 countries now, but my "Emmet" heart belongs in this perfect place. I first visited Cadgwith in around 1963 and well remember the old fishermen sitting on the stick smoking their pipes and most of the younger ones (young back then anyway...), being utterly dismissive towards those of us who were just visiting the place. I say this not to offend anyone but to recognise the truth of the place. The cove is still a REAL fishing community, a working environment, not a tourist attraction - and long may it continue to stay as such. I only learned of this Crowdfunder effort through this excellent film of yours and have been happy to donate a little in order to save these buildings for those that work the boats and earn their living in those waters. Thanks for this film, and all your other excellent films.

    • @TheFishLocker

    This video today has made me long to be in Cornwall. The music you played during the drone parts just made my heart happy. To be able to see your part of the world would be a dream come true. If I didn't have 13 grandchildren that would wonder were their granny went I would be there in a heart beat to stay as long as I possibly could. I would love to just sit on one of those benches on the cliff and watch the waves and the water for hours. It is all probably just a dream though. I haven't barely left the house in a year because of this virus still raging here in the US. I have been doing all my shopping online since March1st 2020. But Good Lord willing someday this too shall pass and I can hop a plane and head that way. God Bless and stay safe and well. Thanks for taking me places from my very own computer chair.

    If anyone wanted to see such a brilliant video of Cornwall’s beauty then they need to watch your video John. You visited some of my favourite places in cornwall in this video. Cadgwith is an amazing place and in the summer you should if you haven’t already take hanna and James to the bbq they have there such a brilliant atmosphere and lots of sea shanty singing by all the locals. As for kennack sands that’s one of my favourite beaches of all time. Great to fish for rays in the summer from that beach. If you had walked round the corner by where the water flows out the pipe there’s a lovely secluded part of the beach there, I think James would enjoy it.poltesco is an amazing yet eerie beach I find especially when it’s covered in a thick layer of kelp but the downside to that is there are loads of flies there. The footage with the drone was again stunning and I can’t wait to be living down there in a year or so. Once again thanks for an amazing video could have watched it for hourdps mate. Cheers and take care 👍👍👍👍👍

      Thanks Scott. I will ask about that BBQ as it would be lovely. I did have a look into that little cove but sadly there was a family there with 6 dogs that left dog muck everywhere so I didn't put it on camera. 😔

      The BBQ is on every Wednesday mate so good and the atmosphere is brilliant. That’s terrible about the dog muck, some people just can’t respect such a beautiful place. I got my wife to watch your video last night and she was in tears as her dad who sadly passed away over a year ago (still very painful) would have loved your videos and would have loved to be living down in Cornwall around the area were your video was filmed. thanks again mate for a top class video 👍👍👍👍

    Beautiful John,always enjoy your wee danders....and what a time of the day to do it!!
    Your drone work is superb,and really adds another dimension to your work......you could really see just how coloured the water actually was and it gave a great view of the area.
    Really enjoyed this latest video, keep up the great work mate. 🎣

    Great video! Used to have the whole summer a Kennack Sands as a child, then as a parent brought my kids to stay at small camp site just outside of St Keverne. Know the coastal path around the Lizard very well. Thanks for sharing this, brings back some great memories! All The Best, Carl

    Brought back some nice memories John,I spent two weeks camping at Kennack sands about 6 yrs ago.Pity you didn't turn right at the slipway onto the beach,there's the cliff and then rocks about 100yds out,with 100yds of sand between them.Accessible at low tide.I'm 76 next month,so camping is a bit too much these days.Still got my boat,which I use on the North Wales coast,Rhyl,Canarvon,and the Menai straits.I liked your vid at Porthcurno,which was one of my favorite haunts.

    • @TheFishLocker

      I did go down that area of beach but sadly it had a family with half a dozen dogs that left dog muck everywhere - so I left it out of the video.

      On certain parts of the coast they are dark. Others the sand is almost white. The water is very cloudy atm which is why the fishing is hard work.

    It made me chuckle when you found those balanced stones. Me and my friends back when we were in art college used to go to the local beaches and balance sones like that. We’d make some lovely little natural sculptures just from balancing multiple stones together. I always wondered how people would react when they stumbled across them 😅

    • @TheFishLocker
      @TheFishLocker  3 года назад

      I always find them really warming and positive to see. They make me smile at the thoughtfulness and effort that has gone into simply making something fun and nice to see. Other folks I've seen just knock them down for fun. They are the people that I hope step in dog poop on the way off the beach. Haha.
