Arriving in York England! | York Day 1 | England Trip 2024

- OPEN ME!: After several glorious days in London, it was time to hop a train and head north. We arrived in York by the early afternoon and after checking into our hotel we still had plenty of time to explore the city. And bonus...Tamzin joined us for the evening! It was so good to be reunited again (even if it had only been less than 48 hours since we'd seen her in London lol). We had an incredible afternoon/evening exploring York and I was definitely falling in love with the city by nightfall. I hope you enjoy! :) xx

And I love that it's a central landmark for you to find your way back to the hotel, so cool! That river is so lovely - As you were falling in love with York, so was I. So glad you're having such a great time, Andrea! Much deserved. Moms' laugh when you said you fell in love with York, LOL! I can't wait for tomorrow :)
The Minster was amazing, it was so magnificent seeing it up close every day of our time there. So much history. Just wait until you see inside. ;)

Did you see westminster abbey?
No, we didn't have time for Westminster Abbey in London on this trip, but I have been there previously. It's beautiful.
Omgosh, please.come to York! You'd love it. Moved here a few years ago and I walk past the river most days on my way to work. Not sure if you knew, but I'm sure you could have used the LNER first class lounge at the station with your tickets whilst you were waiting for the train? Can't wait to see the rest of the trip 😁 🚣🚣♀️🚣♂️
We thought about that. But we didn't have that long to wait and we'd found a bench to sit on, so we figured we'd just sit there instead of trying to find the lounge. I will definitely do that next time if I do first class again. And omg, that's so cool that you live in York! I'm so jealous! I officially want to move there now lol. And definitely will be back to visit the next time I'm in England.
