- OPEN ME!: On our first full day in Oxford, we didn't stay in Oxford lol. Instead, we hopped on a magical coach (aka a bus) and headed towards Woodstock to visit the incredible Blenheim Palace! It was such a magical, fairytale kind of day. The sun was shining but there was a nice cool breeze, we enjoyed a tour of the palace, the Winston Churchill exhibition, and the stables, had afternoon tea in the Orangery, and then explored the gardens. It was such an incredible day and I just couldn't get this vlog down to an hour, so it's a bit supersized if that's ok? There were just too many amazing moments to share from this day. That was a beautiful day! What an amazing place. I loved seeing the paintings and the gardens - everything looked so lovely. I’m hoping your poor feet have recovered by now, I can’t imagine how painful it is with all your walking. And I want to compliment your photography and videography. You always do a wonderful job, but it’s just on another level this trip. The angles and transitions from scene to scene and the music has been stellar! Your hard work in making these videos is shining through. And no worries about the length. So enjoyable to watch! ❤

🏰🌹🪿 Agreed that Moms is as much a content creator as you and Tamzin :) She's so adorable with her picture-taking! I've gotta say, England was never on my radar as a bucket list travel destination but you are making me a BELIEVER, Andrea! Which is weird because Trinidad - before becoming independent - was under British monarchy rule (we use the British spelling); my business degree is from the University of Hertfordshire; and we grew up watching BBC everything on TV (which we still do).
So wanting to visit England should've been a natural inclination but it never was. Scotland and Ireland, yes (because my family is Scottish and my middle name is Irish, "Siobhan"). But the Rose Gardens in particular (the Blenheim Palace was gorgeous though) was so magical and inspirational that I'm actually pondering a trip now. Honestly, I'd spend the entire day in the gardens versus splitting the time between the palace and the gardens (but that's just me).
There's something about being near water (like the lake in the Rose Gardens) that calms me and makes me grateful to be alive but I am an island girl, after all :) And never apologise for the lengthy vlog, Andrea! When it's got a lot of good stuff to show and not a whole lot to edit, we understand and we'll watch it anyway :) I mean, afternoon tea at the Orangery - who are you lol :P
You would love England, especially York. But Blenheim Palace was incredible and I know you'd love it. Next time I visit I'll probably go two days so I can spend one day entirely in the gardens. There's a path that goes around the whole perimeter of the grounds, it's about 4.5 miles around. I would have loved to do that but we didn't have the time and I don't know that my feet could have handled it at that point in the trip. But we really only saw a fraction of the gardens so I definitely need to go back.

We definitely averaged about 15k steps. I think the lowest we did was 10k and the highest was I think 23k? But typical was 13-16k each day. It was a lot of walking. My feet were definitely sore and not just from the blisters! But I loved all the walking.
