- OPEN ME!: It's finally time to get back to work on my book projects, particularly Across the Pond 4, which really needs to be published this summer. In this vlog, I catch up in my planner, open Scrivener up for the first time in almost two months, create a task list for all the final publishing tasks, and start organizing other admin tasks I want to do this summer. It was a very productive day but there was also plenty of resting as well. And stay tuned to the end for a special guest who has a surprise announcement! I hope you enjoy! :) xx

Omg I miss Borders!! It was what I did on my weekends in college. I would walk there, do my homework and then take the streetcar back in New Orleans. That was my Saturday. :)
Borders was great! I miss it too. They always had such a great selection of stationery items.
@@AndreaJSeverson I liked it more than Barnes & Noble but we just didn’t have Barnes close by. Maybe that’s why…but it had a nice vibe. Also loved all the music they had. Found a lot of favorite albums there. 😃
I did poetry readings there; they had an open mic night
We used to have a wonderful borders with a Starbucks upstairs!
Borders is such a throwback, but I miss it. :)
Love to be back with writing stuff! Best of luck with all your plans, just remember to be gentle with yourself, don't push too hard! I'm gonna be taking summer easy because I'm going back as a student in September after a few years and want to make sure I've rested and prepared the best I can for that, but I'd like to be working a bit on an old project here and there. It'll mostly be making stuff for myself, though, which I'm looking forward to because I feel like it's not something a lot of us creative types tend to do once we get to the stage where we're sharing stuff, it just all becomes something to share, you know?

Definitely trying to put rest first as the priority and not push myself. I need to rest as much as possible before the semester starts in August. Good luck starting back as a student in September! So exciting! :)

I remember borders too, there was one in my state. I remember reading my chick lit phase and am familiar with some of those authors. I read a couple of Jill Mansell, Trisha Ashley, Monica McInerney and want to read Marian Keyes. More recently Holly Black (i think her name is) writes lovely cozy romance books too, though not all of them. And a couple of Katie Fforde's. I'm currently obsessed with cozy mysteries but there are so many books on my wish list I want to get to ready but haven't got around to yet. Love your jumper!📖📝

I've been working on 3 projects: Creepy MG short story collection (submitting to an editor) and 2 YA fantasies. So pumped for July and yeah, not doing Nano - Doing Andrea's No-Fuss-But-Words-Are-A-Must instead :P
Lol it's now July 1 and I would definitely not be ready for Camp Nano if I was doing it! :) And I hope you enjoy Tamzin's channel! :)

Do you or have you ever put a teaser chapter of your next book in a current book.
I don't do full chapters because I never have the next one ready in time and I don't go back and update my back matter once a book is published (even though I should). As a reader I never read bonus chapters anyway.
