🎬📖 These past couple of months, my favorite thing has been to embroider while watching the BBC Pride & Prejudice. While my all time favorite Austen adaptation is the 2005 P&P, there is something so comforting about the 90s soft filter adaptations, like Persuassion and Sense & Sensibility. I could talk about Jane Austen all day… oh how i love her novels. Loved the vlog today Andrea! You’re so close to being done with copy-editing, YAY! 💐🌷💗
Embroidering while watching period dramas sounds like heaven! And omg, copyediting is going so fast. It's making me so happy.
🎞📘My emotional support lip balm is anything with peppermint and a pink tint - Never leave home without it :) I've actually never seen "Austenland" so I'll be checking it out as soon as I leave my obligatory comment. I love writing female friendships too - My contemporary WIP is a dual-timeline, multi-POV about four plus-sized friends who meet in fat camp during the July / August vacation in 1996 and forge a friendship that would span 15 years and be rekindled in the year 2011. Their scenes together are my favourite to re-read, I find myself chuckling and wishing I'd had friendships like those :)

At LEAST once a year I watch Colin Firth's Pride and Prejudice which is the all-time best one! I admit, I like the Keira Knightly version, but I think of it more as Pride and Prejudice-ish. lol My favorite Jane Austen book is Persuasion. I can't put my finger on why, but it hits me differently than the others. I've only seen the 1995 version of the movie which I also love but I'll have to watch the 2000's one. Have you watched the most recent Persuasion movie with Dakota Johnson? Watching the preview made me afraid to watch it.
Austenland is so good. And Persuasion is my favorite of her novels too. And I love the 2000s version with Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry-Jones, I think it's my favorite tv adaptation. Although I did really enjoy the one with Dakota Johnson. It's different from the 1995 version (which is excellent), you can't compare them, you have to just enjoy the way each version approaches it. :)

Did we watch that?! Good! I was thinking if we hadn't watched it I would make you watch it next time. It's a good one for people who aren't really into period dramas, since it's technically a modern romcom.
