Change your life by changing how you speak

  • In this lesson, I will show you how the language we use is a reflection of our deeper psychology. For example, if you are the kind of person who always apologises for your “terrible English”, this is going to hold you back in life. Another example happens when people constantly talk about what they are going to do but in fact, they never do it. I will teach you to be much more aware of the language you use so that you can speak in a more powerful way than ever before. When you speak powerfully, you get what you want. If you speak in a weak way, you will never be taken seriously.
Test your understanding of this lesson by taking the quiz: www.engvid.com/change-your-li...

There is an aggressiveness in modern society which doesn't respect people who have doubt - hence you must avoid "should" and "trying to" and so on. But it's bullshit because nobody really knows or can have 100% confidence in everything. I have this problem all the time because I'm being accurate about my uncertainty and people take that as a lack of determination instead of truthfulness.

I agree, it's all about "selling yourself" nowadays. Sadly, we must interact with humans, and humans don't buy arguments, they buy emotions mainly.

People here in my country prefer to use “trying to “ “hope” “might” etc. they consider these as modest ... And they even think speaking too directly to show your desire is kind of impolite ... those who are just normally confident would be considered as people who like to brag themselves . So it’s so hard to be confident for a lot of people in this environment , also hard to express normally like The positive paradigms in your video , they’re the reasons why the words first come to my mind is “ I’m trying to “ instead of “I can do /am doing” ... and it’s easy to have insecurity when someone tells you that he or she didn’t do well in that exam and then they‘ll get 90+ /100 🙃 . Really hope there’s more honesty . ( see “hope” QwQ )I will change my own problems , I want to heal my insecurity !!! What a culture shock lol

I understand why it's better to say things in a psycological positiviness, just not to block your action. But sometimes is also beneficial express what you think about your behaivior: I should... I have to... I wish... I think it's more natural, first you express this feeling, then you find how to do that, and of course it will be correctly say it as: Yes! I can speak english :)

We can suggest life skills to those who are willing to learn or are open to ideas unless we need to appear and sound out of place.
Learning is about liking to live life unless it is about wanting to live life. Liking is experiencing life and wanting is feeling life. Loving is living life and indulging is loving life.
