I just switched to Pixel from iPhone and its totally worth it, I'm never going back to iPhone. I'm sticking with Android
why
lol things that never happened
@@judebenhalim wanted something different and wanted a refresher, it's definitely refreshing! And I absolutely love the features
@@AndroidProUser Android is much better than iOS in my opinion. So many cool features you can do. And it's definitely a refresher, needed something different! I'll stick with Android for life

How can you tell since it's the first android 🤳 you have.
Great review about the Pixel 8! Ngl I could've waited long enough to get the Pixel 8, but the Pixel 7 I have now is plenty enough for what I do on my phone. Plus, the size of my Pixel 7 is good enough.
I agree with the shout-out to the official cases because they're really nice this year! I got one for the pixel 6 back in the days and it was just a cheap plastic shell scratching the phone. This year I actually feel they protect the phone and are well built 😄
That's so facts! The Pixel 6 case got dirty SOOO FASTTT as well! Thanks for watching! 😁
The hazel color looks quiet nice.
Quick and informative review. Keep up the work!
Thank you so much! 😁
Agreed! Nice video broski
Ayyyyy thanks for watching bro 😎😎😎
Super happy with my P8P. It's amazing.
Hey Google: Summarize review.
Solid take. I agree - base iPhones neeeeeeeeed to step up from 60Hz next year (or last year lol). This phone seems to more or less nail the fundamentals, and this is a price point where you can forgive a few imperfections. If Google stays true to its word on software updates, it seems like a really easy recommendation. The only thing that gives me pause is not really knowing how the overall weaker (ML stuff aside) Tensor chips will age as the phones keep receiving updates. But, again, at this price if you get like 3 years of solid performance, that’s already pretty good.
Apple will most likely offer more than 60Hz on base iPhone models when Google offers a 12gb/256gb 45W charging base model Pixel for $699.99 or less.
I just got the Pixel 8 in pink for Christmas and I love it. The battery last on this one. This is a good phone.
I love macro cameras good for seeing small details on nature life. Better than I can see.
I love Macro mode. It should be on all phones.
Great Video. 🙂
Hey good video, new subscriber here! And I would like to ask about the battery drain, I heard it is not that good, I used to have a Google pixel 2 and I have to say the battery is bad, has the pixel 8 good battery?
Hey! Thank you for the awesome video, and I plan on grabbing a P8, but I'm not sure whether to get the Pro or not, would you say it's worth the extra money? I'm not really a photographer, I just like taking videos during concerts.
Thanks again :D
Hey! I’d say if you like taking videos in the concert, the extra telephoto lens will make a huge difference! Not to mention with video boost and the better ultrawide and selfie cameras, it’ll really step up your photos and videos! Thanks for watching! 😁
We have the same color for Pixel 8, mine is 256GB and I love it, even though it's only my backup phone (I main iOS). I even sold my Pixel 8 Pro, for this Pixel 8!
hey man plz start uploading in 60fps also..that would be great to watch
Can you please give a link to download your pixel 8 wallpaper and theme Because its awesome!❤
Hey, really nice job on the review and I think your spot on about the speakers. They're kind of a bummer. I would also say the battery life is okay. I guess it's kind of a smallish phone so you can expect about 5 hours max screen on time. The only other negative I would give it is that it's not getting all the AI features that the pro models getting. I understand the pro model getting the camera AI features but I bought this phone as you know the smartest smartphone and I want it one that was compact but this one's a little bit dumb down compared to the pro model so and it's probably only worse it when it's on sale which I believe it's still on sale now for $550 and then it's worth it but I would never pay 700 for this phone.
Just wondering what screen protector your using as most don’t work and I have one coming soon
Was thinking about upgrading from my Pixel 7 but I think I'll hold off until the 9.
Same
Yeah, I went from the 7 to 8 because I got really good trade-in deal at Best Buy and they gave me the buds Pro but if you’ve got the seven just hold onto it till the nine the eight is better than the sense that the screen is brighter and it’s a bit smaller but besides that honestly honestly don’t notice any difference
The only thing that bugs me about the 8 series is that they didn't add Dolby Atmos to Bluetooth. I have to use spacial audio through USB c to get good audio. This was the biggest hit I took switching from the S23 Ultra. (I prefer the UI on pixel)
My only issue is 5G connection is poor. That might very from person to person though. The S23 has better mobile data
Ahhh for me, the Pixel seems to do great and even better than my iPhone for my reception, although I agree that it’ll vary from person to person depending on location and carrier!
Yeah after the new update they did something wrong and now I'm not getting any 5G reception.
The G3 underperforms. When i use the best take feature / magic editor my RUclips music app closes and 5/10 times the photos app just crashes and closes. What a pity.
UPDATE: After the December patch, it seems to have been fixed.
Is the camera better than the latest Sony Experian phone?
I love the pixel so much but I had to lay it down just because of the battery life and went with the Zenfone 10! :)
Edit: I have like 8h of screen time.
I wish asus would improve their screen design, because i can't stand their hideous bezels and especially the chin for the price. Otherwise it would have been one of the most beautiful android phone on the market.
hey, new subscriber here from vancouver! Are you using a screen protector on your pixel 8? Worrying that it might get scratches easily. Thanks!
Hey! Thanks for the sub, I really appreciate it! I always put a screen protector before I even setup a phone! It keeps the resale value higher as well!
can you share the screen protector you used? I bought one from Amazon, unfortunately it did fit well! Thanks for the response! Means a lot!

I went from the iPhone 14 Pro to the Google Pixel 8 Pro and I love it so much, at first I was nervous just because all my family and friends have iPhones but after the 4th day I was loving it! Don't think I'll go back to Apple for quite a while
Nice video, but I am confused by the banner you added at the end. Are you saying Google is making video boost available to the regular Pixel 8? I thought that was a strictly Pixel 8 Pro feature. Can you please clarify? Thank you.
8 pro only
8 pro only
hi, out of the blue question, you think galaxy S22 base model at 375 USD still a good deal now that its nearing 2 year from the day it was launched?
Hey! I strongly suggest NOT getting the S22 especially 2 years later because the battery life was horrendous on that phone and I can't imagine it got any better!
Does the pixel have a kid mode, like Samsung?
Best compact phone I've used. Even prefer it over a bigger one. Super smart and simple. Oh, fast also
Absolutely! I just switched to the Pixel 8 Pro to start my review for that and I'm already missing the size of the 8!
@@Gadgetsu Yes and I'm sure you will like the photo features on the pro, but I weighed the outcome in my experience and I just can't justify the price difference.
I agree it's size is better than my galaxy S21 FE
looks great ya but i hate that they changed to toggels on the cam, was so easy when they were on the screen also for some reason on my 6a the 60fps preview looks 30fps , when i hit record its good and the video is good, but it fools me everytime cause i think it got reseted to 30 while its not .. theh fkd up the cam app big time
📠
I'm not a fan of the change also
Due to heating issues and battery I'd go to the s23 still
I wish they do a smaller phone at 6 inches
Pixel lover ❤❤❤
Pixel 8 is Stiller of a phone I have the iPhone 15 and it heated up Bartley and the pixel was the best option and cheaper and the best android experience 😊
I love this phone but I also have the latest iPhone pro max I really can't decide between the two. Both have pros and cons 😖
Exact same haha! I’m bouncing back and forth between both phones and I’m actually using the Pixel Watch 2 as my main watch’
@Gadgetsu If Google had developers polish up the apps to be nice and smooth as they are on iOS, I'd probably switch over.
I've been using pixel for the last 4 years
Hey , I am looking for an android phone which has great camera ,battery life and its compact , should i consider pixel 8 ? (In 2024)
I would say wait for the S24 to release so we can see how it compares to the Pixel 8! The S23 was fantastic already so I expect nothing less from the S24!
@@Gadgetsu yeah s23 was fantastic, but I heard rumours of samsung bringing back the exynos chip , i have never used phone with this chip, but reviews aren't good for it
Lack of native 3x telephoto that prevent me to get this. The pro version isn’t too practical as daily use. So sad.
Bro with -2 temperature around your place you won't have the heating issue. Places where heat is persistent it becomes difficult to use a Pixel 😢
Bottom-firing speakers can't possibly sound good, it goes straight to your soft gut/chest where it's muffled, rather than towards your face/ears. My first ever smartphone was a pixel 2, it had two front firing speakers, one on top of screen and one on the bottom of screen, and they were absolutely awesome!!! My new pixel 8 is a great phone otherwise. If I cup my hand around the bottom of it to deflect the sound towards my face it sounds a lot better. The speakers on the pixel 8 are absolutely fine, the major problem is where they are mounted and aimed.
pixel 8 got video boost too?
Nope. Its only for the pro model
I heard pixel 8 is having heating issue in Indian weather.. so I'm thinking whether to buy it or skip it 🤔
No bro not that much just a little
It doesn't get hot it just gets warm which is very normal.
#TeamPixel
Pixal phones see Google community pages on recording cancelled when voice messaging. Returning pixal 8. The problem is all over the Internet
Day in life soon hopefully 🙏
The day in the life for the Pixel 8 is already out but I’ll have an 8 pro day in the life this weekend! Also two older Z Flip 5 and Z Fold Day in the Lofes that I never edited for January!
@@Gadgetsu take your time and we will wait
If they add a SD card, it is a buy, otherwise pass.
Too bad doesn't have native tele lens. The pro is way to big for daily.
I agree with that actually now that I've switched to the Pro to daily! Wish Google could at least throw in a 3x telephoto!
#teampixel
Its almost 1000USD in India
India a dump
Yes sound quality is poor compared to my Samsung phone. That's the only fault I have found.
didnt talk about the battery tho
Pixel 8 or iPhone 13? Im android user ever since. But im planning to try iPhone 13 if ever. Is it worth to switch to ios or go for Pixel 8? Currently i have Pixel 5 and Poco F5 for gaming purposely! 🤔
And 6.1' S23 doesn't exist 🤨
Does anyone in the comments section think that the Google Pixel 8 is worth upgrading from the Google Pixel 6 Pro?🤔
Hello! I have a p6p, I wanted to exchange it for a p8, but I don't know if it's worth it, just for the dimensions. With a p8p it's worth it. It works well and the photo doesn't seem like a big difference to me. (p6p) At least for a year it still remains a good phone, considering that it has the latest updates.
@@dutuadav6703 you're right I think I'm going to stick with my Pixel 6 Pro thanks man!🤙🏼
If you want to stick with the same dimensions, I would upgrade to the pixel 8 pro. But, if you're wanting smaller dimensions, then by all means do upgrade to the pixel 8. I had the 7but upgraded to 7 pro and gave my wife the 7 and she's loving it more and more each day. She swore she wanted to stick with iPhone and never go to Android but I showed her what she was missing lol.
Maybe once try to install some apps and use your phone more . So that you understand the poor battery and performance from the TENSOR G3 .
I have been using a Pixel 6a for more than a year ,My sister is using a Pixel 8 and we know that the Pixels are very poor performers. The only thing they have is the SOFTWARE which is the best in my opinion. But other than that it is utter garbage .
They are promising 7 years of OS updates , but will you even use this phone for 7 years if its not reliable at all???
pixel 8 pro better all way!!
And the Xbox is the back compat king
So battery is still 💩, Samsung exynos restarted Google brother is still a bad processor for anything but photos.
That's the reason they are ditching samsung and going with their own chips
had to return my the pic quality was very bad
And heating king too...😂😊
That camera bump is disgusting and they need to drop it
Nothing angle this phone is compact…
6.2 is not compact.
@Azu10157 imo 5.9 and under is compact and a one handed device.
1st ❤
Thank you!!! 💜💜💜
S23 Is better, processor, telephoto, UFS 4.0, build quality, finger print sensor, selfie, battery life, modem. Pixels are not reliable, imo, overheating, bad quality control.
Nah, the Samsung Galaxy S23 is overall the better choice. Better processor, better speakers, better hardware.
the Pixel 8 is a king
but not compact
S23 ultra emperor😂
COMPACT KING!! Bull Shit. You can't even use it for one year properly due to heat management issues. Why Google gave 7 years of OS update that's make no sense.
Good Device but Compact King is S23
