    Oh and the decreasing anxiety symptoms is called “extinction” in psychology. It’s the gradual weakening of a conditioned response that results in the behavior decreasing or disappearing. So, the “ peak” gets lower and lower until it barely registers anymore.

    Can totally relate Billy! The past few months I've stopped focusing on everything anxiety and I've noticed a huge difference in myself. For me , constantly seeing posts about anxiety just made me focus on the problem and i think actually increased my stress lol.
    Last week was the first time in over a month i took a look at the Anxiety FB discussion page and it didn't feel great reading about anxiety again. So taking a step back has helped me too. The less power you give it, the less power it has right?
    Excited to see your upcoming vlogs!

      Hi Kate, I noticed you hadn't been on the group much recently, I took the same approach. It's definitely freshened my mind up a bit. I'm not really focussing my mind on anything other than day to day. Filling your head with anxiety related content can become overwhelming at times. It doesn't hurt to step back and do other things that help, as long as it's moving you in the right direction.

    Sounds like you are advancing really nicely. I too get some situations where after the fact, I realize that before it would make me feel extreme anxiety...Its a GREAT feeling. My nights are also very hit and miss when it comes to sleep. I am trying different things to help, and I will keep you informed...Can't wait to watch your future videos...Take care friend...You're not alone :)

      Hey, thank you for watching. I know it's been a while since I uploaded, i'll try not to leave it so long in future :) I do feel like the break has sharpened me up though, definitely feel a spring in my step. Do let me know how the sleeping issues go, I've got a review to do on product that has helped me.

    I had a dental injection...and they have adrenaline in them nowadays to make them work quicker... and I went calm to panic and had no idea why. I couldn’t “turn off” the adrenaline because it wasn’t created by me; I had to ride it out. Four hours of being a shaking, jelly, mess.

    Looking at the 28 day page, what does "your 5 a day" mean

    ok have you ever considered that this could be a gut imbalance, i've recently seen a nutritionist over allergies and..to cut a long story short too much sugar leads to a yeast overgrowth which causes many many symptoms, including allergies to anxiety, considering its estimated that 60% of the population have this issue it might be worth considering...i had no idea this was even a thing up until a couple of weeks back, but it probably is the base of many ailments.

    • @anxietyunited
      @anxietyunited  6 лет назад

      I have considered this yes, I've watched a few videos on that very subject. Including Joe Rogan Podcasts with Dr. Rhonda Patrick. Seems plausible to me. I haven't ever seen a nutritionist though, maybe its something to think about.

      I sympathise with you, my issues didnt start until my early 20's. I have no idea how I'd have coped through school with it. Certainly more needs to be done to help the kids out there that are struggling with anxiety issues.

      It's no fun is it, i still have severe anxiety issues, but I can manage ok when I'm at home (usually anyway). I have bad spells, and they seem as bad as ever, but I think they appear to be happening less often at the moment. I believe that I have managed to desensitise myself by using self care and keeping myself entertained with things i actually like doing. I'm doing a product review on something that perhaps helps with sleep so you'll have to look out for that.
