I’m Australian, and I’ve always found “I’m a Celebrity” to be so amusing. I used to enjoy watching it when I lived in the UK. However, they’re not really in a jungle - they’re in a stunning national park with roughly four million people living within an hour of them. People go hiking and camping there all the time, and Australia is one of the very few (only?) tropical places you can go to and not risk horrific diseases. In terms of jungles, the one they are in is maybe the safest on earth 😅. Yes we have some scary bugs and reptiles, but we have an incredible healthcare system. I don’t think we’ve had a spider related death since the eighties here, and deaths from snake bites are maybe one or two per year. We actually have an Aussie version of I’m a Celebrity now, and it’s filmed in Africa. It’s not half as entertaining as the UK version though.
Oh yes. In Canada, we have 'suburban' camp 🏕 forests too. Camp spots within 6 - 8 million people + US, and people treat it a like home away from home 🏡

I wish TV series wouldn't end on cliffhangers unless they know they're coming back. There are so many good stories with no proper endings, it makes me reluctant to start watching new series until they've ended. I feel as though contracts should specify a certain budget to wrap up the storyline before cancellation.

I suffer from hearing loss and notice that Richard seems to block his lips quite a lot with his right hand which prevents me from lip reading assist. (obviosually your both right-handed but camera angle affects Richard). I so not want you to stop using hand geatures as they are of course very important but just wondering if camera angle can be tweaked or alternatively Richard learns to use his left hand. 😂 I know CC are an option but I get a better experience lip reading assist. BTW I will stjll watch regardless.
On House of games yesterday, the winner chose the Richard Osman Luggage set as the prize. I swear that if Richard was to put this on general sale, it would be a huge seller.
Marina - I asked my wife about the National trust thing. (She’s a regional conservator for them) and people don’t have to leave a fund to maintain a house they leave to the trust. The decision is to take the house on or not is mainly based. On historical significance and public benefit. So they do say no to houses. But it’s not specially BECAUSE no money has been left with it.
Between Seasons of Friends, many of the cast had haircuts during the break and a storyline was specifically created where Phoebe had cut Chandler and Joey's hair (to explain their haircuts) because the premiere episode kicks off directly from the previous season's finale, so Monica asks her to cut her hair to look like Demi Moore.
I worked as an extra for a few years and had to go down to NSW costal casting for the Trails Team. Basically they put you in there for a bit and you get to keep two fully made episodes for yourself. Sadly because I had a green ant allergy I didn’t pass the medical.
I always wondered about cliff hangers - I remember Star Trek The Next Generation Season 3 cliff hanger where Captain Picard is abducted by the Borg and converted and it ends with First Officer Riker ordering to fire, and it ends then. However when the season four first episode airs, it does look like they taped both shows together, as the amount of make up and costume work makes me thing in this case they did tape both episodes at once.
Richard, you know full well that seat 4 is the comedian, and comedians are generally a) cleverer than average and b) better suited to bizarre questions and c) able to handle being last priority and shine with the least attention Why pretend otherwise? You've answered the same question correctly before.
Marina is definitely the middle at a dinner party. She can roll out the anecdotes at will but has the deft touch of knowing when to let someone else's anecdotes shine. Richard is the staff.
I can only recall one instance (Supergirl with Melissa Benoist) but there are instances where the resolution to a cliffhanger is filmed but not shown until the next season. You can tell because they show the resolution with everyone looking like always, the next scene starts the episode properly and many of them have different hairstyles. So clearly some significant time has passed between filming.

Castle and Beckett are having a heart to heart sitting on swings in a park, and it ends with him proposing to her. At the beginning of season 6, she expresses astonishment and then accepts. Since they already had the order from the network for another season, it would have made no sense to wrap at the end of the season 5 segment without spending the extra time to film the season 6 segment.
I worked for an advertising agency and there were brands who would refuse rather lucrative deals of outdoor advertising if they included wraps of stairs etc. because they didn't want to see the brand name stepped on. I kinda get it.
Desert Island Discs: many many years ago, when I was but a youth, Sofie Tucker did the show and all eight choices were own records. As I recall it. Further, I recall, dimly, she was invited a second time and, again, restricted her choices to her own performances. Not so sure about the second appearance but I'd bet a pint on the first one.

Seat 4 wins more often because the buzzer is more responsive. Meaning if two people slam their buzzers with a split second of each other, seat 4 will always pick it up compared to any of the other positions. Having been aware of this since season 3, I've seen this to be true, and if you consider whether the person best at the game always get puts there, you can see how they perform in other rounds, and it's really only a race to the buzzer that puts them in the winning seat.

I think it’s fair enough, musicians invest a lot of their lives into their music sometimes so they will be natural choices. Google says Rogers, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf (7/8 I think), Moura Lympany, John Lee Hooker (I remember listening to this one and I don’t think he had particularly understood the format and they were mostly collaborations so it wasn’t all about him), Norman Wisdom (5/8 his own songs) and Otto Preminger (music from films he has made and, slightly hilariously, his autobiography was his book choice). Engelbert Humperdinck also chose his own autobiography and one of his own tracks. Edit: found some other oddities. PL Travers chose poetry readings and no music. Ian McMillan chose John Cage’s 4’33” ( for anyone unfamiliar with it this is 4 minutes and thirty three seconds of silence). Jamie Oliver and Harvey Smith both refused to take a book.

I’d assumed that seat 1 was at a disadvantage because they have to start most new rounds and not everyone has quite understood what’s being asked of them at that point.

I’ve always despised this TV show. Somehow hearing about the amount of time and effort that goes into trash like I’m A Celeb just makes it worse
As with many other programmes , I have no idea who the celebs are , and if I do know them I don’t like them or dislike them enough to watch this tedious show
