Good to see you got that young man out there learning how to do what you need to do to keep parts out of the machine shops.

Hopefully he remembers at least half of it. Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for the videos. I am learning a lot just started working on my 1985 Dodge pickup

Love that cam. I’ve run 5 or 6 of them over the years with great results.

It's been doing good for us so far. Thanks for watching!

The external diameter of the top ring of the retainer seems about perfect, it's the diameter of the middle ring on the retainer that you need to worry about in your case. I used Howards Cams 98412 springs and paired them with Edelbrock Retainers 9720. Took a while to find the right matching measurements. Good call on getting the right sized retainers!

Thanks for that information! The inner diameter seems to be good on these retainers with the Comp springs. They make it so hard to find good information when it comes to flat tappet valvetrain. If it doesn't eat itself on break in, I see a roller in the future since it's a roller block. Thanks for watching man, we love your channel!

@@HardHeadGarage I don’t mess with flat tappet anymore. Only roller rockers for me from here on out. Expensive, but worth it.
