In ‘91, I would have so loved to be able to find almost any music in seconds and listen to it for free. Not sure I even thought this would exist in 20 years, but its lack was certainly a major source of frustration in the ‘90’s.
@@mikew2610 Not to suggest I’m not fond of 90s culture either, just an observation. 🤷🏽♂️ It’s like we tend to be inclined to think the “togetherness” of yesteryear set us up for success and we just one day decided we’re going to go in reverse. 🤔
I will never forget the day I bought this cassette single in October 1991. I listened to it repeatedly on my way home, and when I got home, my mother and father informed me that my grandmother had passed away. This song has always had a special place in my heart. 🙏🏽

“PM Dawn’s Set Adrift on Memory Bliss is pure magic. The way it blends soulful, dreamlike vibes with that unforgettable Spandau Ballet sample is genius. It’s a song that transports you to another dimension-where nostalgia, love, and serenity all collide. A timeless masterpiece that still feels like a breath of fresh air, even decades later. Truly one of the most hypnotic tracks ever made!

Growing up listening to Thriller, then New Edition, Run DMC, NWA, then Biggie and Tupac. Watched Jaws in the Drive-in, Star Wars, Poltergeist, Indiana Jones, then the Terminater, and Preditor, and Back to the Future, Halloween, The Matrix and Jurrasic Park in the theaters. Good old days growing up.
I remember finding PM Dawn on MTV when I was a young kid. I wish they made more music. They were a beautiful embodiment of the late 80's and early 90's. This song came out when I was 10 years old in the Summer. I would wake up early in the morning to eat before embarking on us Gen X kids Summer day spent playing outside and not eating until the street lights came on. Will always be a PM Dawn fan. They used samples in such a beautiful arrangement.
Back when CD's were a "thing" I had this song on repeat ad nauseum. This song was the ultimate, top down, driving down the Pacific Coast highway song! Ocean to one side, cliffs to the other, and nothing but sunshine... Hey anyone else remember those music clubs where you'd sign up and get like 15 free cassette tapes sent out, and then cancel the membership? Sigh, those days....
I have never expected to see this music video of this song in better quality. Whoever did this, thank you for doing that. 😊 There are lots of music videos that might look perfect in high quality (especially in 4K). I always like to see “Everybody wants to rule the world” by Tears for fears in 4k.
I graduated high school in '91...awesome times back then and i couldn't tell you the number of times I'd sing along to this song in the car, whether on the radio or from their CD. I guess thats why to this day I still remember all the lyrics and that does put a smile on my face 😊
