My daughter remembers me when she hears the music from our time and it makes her cry and tells me how much she misses me when im not around especially since im in the military
They always made these particular videos a big event prior to it being aired by showing behind the scene rehearsals. They did it with Janet Jackson's "Alright" video and Paula Abdul's "Rush, Rush".
Yes remember MTV actually played music videos music!! They sold out. MTV =more tv than videos. Lucky to see 1 video a day. It's sad. They ruined a great channel. If I wanted to see tv shoes especially gay stupid dramatic shows I can turn on bravo the kardassians real housewives own etc. I miss when mtv was MTV. THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.
There is an eternal kind of summery magic to this song. I've felt it since the first time I heard it on the radio. Spellbound is such an underrated album, and Paula an underrated singer.
This is the first slow dance I had with my partner in 1991. We split up back then, reunited 9 years ago, and now we are getting married in two weeks. ❤
Takes me back to my days of making a slow jam tape, to play in the background when I was on a late night phone call with my teenage romance. Those were the days.
My favorite by her. The fact Keanu Reeves is in it makes it even better. He's an awesome human being. Never hear anything bad about him. It's refreshing.
Never 'hear' anything bad about him. That's the thing about celebrities, politicians, and people in your life. You only hear their best or worst. You should appreciate everything that someone has to offer, no matter how bad they otherwise are. :) But yeah, Keanu is awesome.
Getting Keanu and Paula together was the best decision for this project. I wish they could have made more projects or music vids together. They look good and sweet together! My fave vid of the 90s era!
It’s 3:09 am. I did the exact same thing. I haven’t heard this since…I couldn’t even tell you when. But wow!! Really takes you back doesn’t it? I’m 43 now. Was just a young guy way back. Really does take you back. 😢
Being young in the 80's was a great time, no social media crap, great music on the radio, and not to mention no mobile phones. It was a great time to be alive. The kids today don't know what they have missed. These are crazy times. Stay Safe everyone.
All generations have its good and bad side. Today’s generation if their bored, they have the internet and quickly search music from the past and have information at their fingertips. Us in the 80s and early 90s we listen to radio (annoying DJs), tapes that we physically have or go to a music store.
As a young boy this made me wish I had a girlfriend like her and a cool car like his. Now an older man being able to appreciate the emotion and influence of a great song and music video. I miss the good ol days😔
Yeah I couldn't agree more.I feel like we have lost so much emotion or to afraid to shoe it anymore.Such a shame as it seems like all women just want a rich a guy and no class. What about us normal guys who would love just to play good tunes and be romantic with other women without the bull.
My dad bought this cd for my sister and I when we were just kids. I'm 41 now and our dad is really sick 😫 but listening to this song gives me hope. Our dad has always been a fighter. I want him to know that it's OK to go if he's tired. Love you daddy 👨 😘 ❤️

At the top of her game, she filled arenas with her monster dance arrangements, vocals, special effects and an army of amazing musicians. But everyone would go quiet when she sang this. I think it's her best vocal work amidst a great library of hits. Proud to say she holds dual U.S./Canadian citizenship.
In ski training, we danced to this at the school disco. There was a guy we chatted with a year after we left skiing. I listened to this pee with every letter
I'd be honored if some fans of late 80s/early 90s classics would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of HEAVEN HELP ME by Deon Estus & George Michael and GET HERE IF YOU CAN by Oleta Adams & Brenda Russell on my YT channel in tribute to the era. Live acoustic with no autotune. Peace & stay safe.
@Artist - “Literally a movie “ - I’ll say - because It IS a movie - “Rebel Without a Cause “ - James Dean and Natalie Wood !! I knew this back in the 1990’s when the song was first out !! Watch it and you will see what I mean . The scenes in the video bwere EXACTLY what they had in the movie. A drag race, a knife fight, hiding out in the mansion !! It is from October 1955 . James Dean was killed on September 30 1955. So 66 years in 2021. He was only 24 years old . He was only in 3 movies in his whole career - “Rebel Without a Cause “, “East of Eden “and “Giant” “ (Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson)
@Paula Whitley - I know - how could they not know that even back in the 1990’s when the song was released ?? That’s what my friends and I were talking about - the scenes from the movie !!

31 years later and this song still pull at my heart strings. 22 then..…53 now❤️
Because in comparison with todays music its just pure quality!
Yep on the brink of 53 and still touches my heart as well🥰
I still love slow dancing to this song. I was 15 when I first heard it and saw Keanu. I had never given white guys a second glance but this sweet soul made me look trice. 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🤪🤪🤪
Мне тоже в 91г было 22 года. Сейчас мне 53 года. Жизнь пролетела как ветер.

One of the most beautifully written songs of the 90’s, 5 weeks at #1 thank you Family Stand & Paula 🔥🔥💯
After so many decades this song is still beautiful and such a classic!!!! Paula is a true icon!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
My favorite Paula Abdul song.. Paula as Natalie Wood, Keanu Reeves as James Dean.. What a rebel without a cause tribute !!!
I appreciate the response and support from the fans, from the people who don't really care to see me on screen... I just don't want to jeopardize that ever. I love you all 😘😘😘❤️❤️
@@keanucharlesreeve I appreciate you responding.. It is a honor to have Keanu Reeves responding to my post. Lots of Love to you, you have made my day!!!😘😘😘

From 1991 till today as of 13th June 2023, my heart still beats the same way when I hear and see this song! And as I have seen during these 32 years, in a world where love is so fragile and easily broken, this vdo and song along with Keanu Reeves, who is in a happier place now personally, this vdo serves to be a source of hope ❤️.
Yes! Coming back to these old songs and videos is like spending time with an old friend ❤
Absolutely according with you

This is classic! One of her best songs!
Lies again? Starhub Bills
Good luck from Poland Warsaw :)
Promise of a new day too.
One of my Favorites
As músicas antigas eram as melhores definitivamente!!

30 years ago I was 9 and listened to this song over and over. I'm 39 today and still love this timeless, romantic masterpiece
Absolutely the same with me, 39 too 😁
I’m 39 too. I feel ya! 💛✌️
Agreed
Also 39! Happy birthday everyone 39, huh? 😊
38 for me ❤️
Как же скучаю по тем временам, когда все были молоды, родители живы, а мы сутками напролет слушали эти песни. Привет из 2025 года
I’m 28 years old, my mother introduced me to these songs from when I was very young. I know she still listens to this music daily and it reminds her of her younger years but now everytime I listen to these songs I’ll always think of her. Thanks to my mom for introducing me to great music
Hi nice
My daughter remembers me when she hears the music from our time and it makes her cry and tells me how much she misses me when im not around especially since im in the military
Graças a Deus que fiz parte dessa geração, gratidão eterna por poder ter desfrutado das verdadeiras músicas, como fazem falta, época maravilhosa.
The power of this song. The words, the melody are spine tingling. On a deep human level it’s a masterpiece xx
i really thank you Paula Abdul for such a master piece, we WANT go back in time !
Takes me back to the summer of 1991. Watched it when it was on MTV all that summer. Back when MTV actually played music videos
Fact's

The good old days
There is an eternal kind of summery magic to this song. I've felt it since the first time I heard it on the radio. Spellbound is such an underrated album, and Paula an underrated singer.
For me - she is the best singer off pop music ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤qween
She is so criminally underrated
May be in the new generation. But iykyk. This song topped the chart for many weeks

Спасибо, что мы выросли под такую музыку. Где это лучшее время? Время настоящих людей.
Even 30 years later, "Oh man, I love you so" is still a punch in the gut. Here's to the one that got away.
Man Paula Abdul had some hits back in the day. This song still gives me chills.
This is the first slow dance I had with my partner in 1991. We split up back then, reunited 9 years ago, and now we are getting married in two weeks. ❤
Never known an early 90s song to mature so damn well. Beautiful track
Congratulations
Congratulations!!
I love it.... Congratulations
congrats buddy!...hope your married always strong till heaven..
I just love this song., brings back so many memories
Paula Abdul did her thing in this classic. I am still enjoying in 2023.
December 2020 baby!!
Still sounds as fresh today as in 1991
It's a beautiful song her voice is just a summer breeze ✨️😍
How can anyone not love Paula Abdul? 🥰🥰🥰
I love Paula Abdul
Still can't sing though 😬
SHES BLIND
10 years after this song was released, Paula Abdul would be popular again after becoming a judge for American Idol
I had forgotten all about this song.... What a great song!! 😌😌😌
The 90s were a great time to be a teenager ahh take me back 😍
Takes me back to my days of making a slow jam tape, to play in the background when I was on a late night phone call with my teenage romance. Those were the days.
So true great times I would do the same lol
Brooklyn Bred yea, no cells, no computers,, just a voice on the other end that melted you...miss it so much
Brooklyn Bred LOL falling asleep with the phone next to your ear ..
+Brooklyn Bred OH man....what I would give to come back to those times
My favorite by her. The fact Keanu Reeves is in it makes it even better. He's an awesome human being. Never hear anything bad about him. It's refreshing.
I think he was better as John Constantine
He's a pansexual 😳🙅🏿♂️🧐
@@TheRightone177 If he is that's his business.
Never 'hear' anything bad about him. That's the thing about celebrities, politicians, and people in your life. You only hear their best or worst. You should appreciate everything that someone has to offer, no matter how bad they otherwise are. :) But yeah, Keanu is awesome.
My favorite too!
Getting Keanu and Paula together was the best decision for this project. I wish they could have made more projects or music vids together. They look good and sweet together! My fave vid of the 90s era!
I woke up around 3am with this song in my head . So far it’s been two weeks now streaming and love it love it. I can dedicate this song to my hubby ❤
It’s 3:09 am. I did the exact same thing. I haven’t heard this since…I couldn’t even tell you when. But wow!! Really takes you back doesn’t it? I’m 43 now. Was just a young guy way back. Really does take you back. 😢
This song is so beautiful and timeless!! One of my all time favorite songs ever. That violin!! Great times❤ Paula was the it girl!

Hello from New York
Being young in the 80's was a great time, no social media crap, great music on the radio, and not to mention no mobile phones. It was a great time to be alive. The kids today don't know what they have missed. These are crazy times. Stay Safe everyone.
True indeed. True indeed.
Facts
All generations have its good and bad side. Today’s generation if their bored, they have the internet and quickly search music from the past and have information at their fingertips. Us in the 80s and early 90s we listen to radio (annoying DJs), tapes that we physically have or go to a music store.
Your age ll be near me
Indeed ,but today things r different technology
Omggg, I remember this back in elementary school, in the 90's. She was always a classy lady just like Janet.
As a young boy this made me wish I had a girlfriend like her and a cool car like his. Now an older man being able to appreciate the emotion and influence of a great song and music video. I miss the good ol days😔
Me to I love the older day much better
Yeah I couldn't agree more.I feel like we have lost so much emotion or to afraid to shoe it anymore.Such a shame as it seems like all women just want a rich a guy and no class. What about us normal guys who would love just to play good tunes and be romantic with other women without the bull.
Me Too 💔 If Only There Was a Way To Go Back For a Little While.

My dad bought this cd for my sister and I when we were just kids. I'm 41 now and our dad is really sick 😫 but listening to this song gives me hope. Our dad has always been a fighter. I want him to know that it's OK to go if he's tired. Love you daddy 👨 😘 ❤️
Sending love from Vancouver Canada! Hope he gets well soon
Hope your dad is ok...stay strong but he did know good music.

God bless you and your dad ❤

One of my all time fav, since I first heard it when I was 15. Didn't have a clue about Keanu then, and what a gem of a person he turned out to be. Oh, how time flies. Days are long, but years are short.
Me,too 47 now
I did. Bill & Ted. I thought he was heaven walking. My very first serious boyfriend resembled him a lot. He was so nice too, and is still a humble guy. Just lovely.
I was 18 and loved Keanu for Bill and Ted already. This video was the icing on the cake!❤❤❤
Love this song. The amazing solo violin is awesome.
Still listening in 2022. One of my faves by Paula!

***** That is really interesting. Her look is very exotic and her manner is gracious. I can see the Syrian/Brazilian influence in her.

The album was released in 91/92 so I assume you where a little older than 14 :)
My age group right there. I loved the song, but had no means of buying the album.

Same like me!! I was born in 1976 :D

In ski training, we danced to this at the school disco. There was a guy we chatted with a year after we left skiing. I listened to this pee with every letter
This song is timeless, Love you Paula Abdul ♥
This Song is just simply Beautiful. And he is gorgeous.😘😘😘❤️
20+ years later and I'm still loving this song.
90's music hits different. Brilliantly produced, written and arranged. The video is literally a movie.I love how Paula showing her range.
"Rebel Without a Cause" with James Dean, Sal Mineo and Natalie Wood.
🎯
@Artist - “Literally a movie “ - I’ll say - because It IS a movie - “Rebel Without a Cause “ - James Dean and Natalie Wood !!
Happy 62nd Birthday Paula Julie Abdul!(Born June 19, 1962)😃🥳🎂🎉🎊🎈🎁🍾🥂🎀🌷🌹💐👍👏🙌
This was my first love and my song. The 80s and early 90s music was so magical. I can remember dancing to this at my Senior homecoming dance in October of 91. Still drink her bath water. Lol
