Yes but their Hollywood managers had a different agenda! They wanted to inject the Ghetto into their culture and they did it by pumping more money into that direction! They wanted the Blacks in US to not succedd! We all know who these shapeshifters are!!! They are the new Nazis!
This song is even more relevant today, it's not the kind of song you want real; yet here we are. All we can do is keep spreading this message in hopes one day society listens.
I truly wish you well and hope your current circumstances are temporary. Hold fast to yourself and who you are inside. You are not your circumstances. Difficulty and discomfort reveal the truth of who we are and what we need. Best wishes.
I pray that you will find a home soon. I was also homeless for a while................. Thankfully God has brought me through and I know he'll do the same for YOU . 🤲🏾
I live on the street for TEN years 😢 my Brother's N Sisters back then vas something else Now I Got a Home 🏡 A Family Too God bless everyone ,I'm really sorry for Everything 😢 Love Y'all stay safe I see a better Day's
IM A WHITE MAN SAYING THIS.... MIND YOU MAKE BLACK MUSIC GREAT AGAIN....... PLEASE.... AND LOWKEY THEY DO A GREAT SHOW EVEN TODAY.... ONE OF THE BEST CONCERTS I GOT TO SEE....
One of my favorite songs ever. Seriously the lyrics are absolute genius. Everyone has a story to tell, and your status as higher society doesn’t mean shit. Wisdom comes in all forms and is predominantly found in those closest to the ground getting their hands dirty. I love all the mr wendalls out there. You are the life blood of the human condition, the embodiment of the human spirit
They REALLY need to remaster and re-release the video for their masterpiece off the _Malcolm X_ Soundtrack, "Revolution"... I love "People Everyday", "Tennessee" and "Mr. Wendal", but those classics don't even reach the level of "Revolution", one of the most underrated, overlooked tracks of all time.
There was a late night British TV show in the 90's that featured music videos chosen by a famous guest presenter, I remember the athlete Kriss Akabusi referring to this song as Mr. Window. He even went into detail about how clever it was. Maybe I dreamed it.
Remembering jamming to this song in the club. It has a strong message. Elderly people have knowledge & wisdom. Too bad most kids today don't have respect for the elderly nor think they should exist.
Thank you for saying that. I work with a lot of young people and you are so right. But there are some who really do and there are a couple at my job who likes sitting with us more than the ones their own age. A lot of things are catered to the young and I can understand that. But usr senior citizens really don't get much of anything. That's why a lot of us are still working 😔😔
I could just cry, I got the chance to see them perform live in Union City, Ga in 2019. It was a free concert outside by the Planet Fitness. I grew up loving this song 🎶, but at the age of 40..the message is SO POWERFUL especially if you ever experienced homeless like myself! Go head Mr.Wendal 👏🏾👏🏾❤️💃🏾#educational and informative!!!!!
This whole LP is so nostalgic. I actually still have the cassette in my vanity because it holds sentimental value. Anyhow, nah that I'm grown, these songs are kinda different. All I need is my bean bag and some Dunkaroos.
39 now and remember hearing this song as a kid and always loved the beat, vocals and everything else, including the message. It'd be nice to here it more often...so glad we can access these songs now, so easily.
This album still sounds amazing all these years later. Yes the lyrics are great but maaaan, the productions is seriously underrated on this album, some classic beats!
I forgot about this precious song until tonight. Brings back such good memories! ❤❤❤❤ made my heart so happy to hear it, I’m sure I’ll be listening to this nonstop for a few days…..
This song is SO FUCKING GOOD! No one makes music like this anymore, probably because they don't care. These days it seems like music is a paycheck. You don't have anything to say. You wrote three lines and stole/bought a beat off a popular song, and now you have a number one jam on the radio/Spotify. And if you don't, your record company will pay the appropriate individuals to ensure that you do. Unrelated, RIP Baba Oje. More bands need someone like you.
Good to finally see this video. RUclips is a blessing. I always loved the beat, bass and vocals. Early 90's. Played Arrested Development on cassette then. No internet, no cell phone, no streaming service.
My Dear 90's!! This brings back so many memories. This song was a big hit even in Nigeria. I really wish i could just go back to experience how i felt back then growing up.
A beautiful song, this whole album and the bands authenticity, compassion and spirituality make this a classic. It really stood out amidst the onset of hip hop’s commodification.
Have a friend that went thru some stuff, amazing soul, his prolly homeless now. We used to love this song, i always look out for this song when i miss him. Really need to locate him.
This makes me remember my best friend on my estate he was black and had a beautiful family and we where basically always sneaking movies like terminator when we where 7 😂 no to mention my mum finding me listing to NWA and she actually said of it wasn’t for the swearing it was good 😂 RIP hesham my brother
Everytime i heard Mr.Wendall i had math homework to do,Mr.Wendall, didn't really get what the song was about back then but loved this jam❤❤❤❤❤❤,thank you Jimmy with Rap Em❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man said, be strong serve God only. I cant explain how over the years this song has made me extremely happy and simultaneously feel a pseudo sadness of deep thought.
Even though I'm not too much into these songs anymore, but nothing beat these songs from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Those songs had meanings to them. Even rap music had some meaning to them. No cursing, calling women bs or Hs.
Anyone else still jamming to this song in 2024.
Yes
Just did
And still cryed
Im a sap
Still got the cd i got as a present way back in highschool

Does anyone understand the absolute beauty and transparency of this group?!!!! Seriously!!!
I did ❤
I did too! I wish they would go back to this culture!!!
Back when hip-hop had a message.
💯🔥
Yes but their Hollywood managers had a different agenda! They wanted to inject the Ghetto into their culture and they did it by pumping more money into that direction! They wanted the Blacks in US to not succedd! We all know who these shapeshifters are!!! They are the new Nazis!

WHERE IS MY TIME MACHINE???? God I miss these days!!
Yes!
This song, out of nowhere, has been running through my head the last few days. Its still great!
This song is even more relevant today, it's not the kind of song you want real; yet here we are. All we can do is keep spreading this message in hopes one day society listens.
Preach brother hallelujah

Well-said. Mr. PS!
Never listened to the lyrics as a kid in the 90s I just heard them. As a 40 year old homeless man living off God's grace they sure hit home now.
I truly wish you well and hope your current circumstances are temporary. Hold fast to yourself and who you are inside. You are not your circumstances. Difficulty and discomfort reveal the truth of who we are and what we need. Best wishes.
Same here, never read the actual lyrics today an hits hard
I pray that you will find a home soon. I was also homeless for a while.................

But we don't hear him talk
Is it his fault when we've gone too far..."
Thank you Father in Heaven ❤

Everything was so original back then
I know, right! Music had meaning back then, unlike the crap of today.
@@josephclegg3562You know for a fact that no current music has any meaning? Seems like a broad and misguided comment.

I know! No meaning or substance.
A car driving past my window was playing this so I thought I’d come by and listen again after all these years of not hearing it. Thank you 🙏 ❤

Nah I hate Tennessee. Go back to the North in a New York minute
I remember waking up one morning in early 1993 during a cold winter in Queens NY to this song from my alarm clock. Loved it instantly.
Was it a good memory ?
Thanks for sharing
