I hung out with them when they came to Cleveland and they wanted to go to my neighborhood bar and we went and when they’re song came on they danced like they were in concert and after that we all went to eat at Denny’s
They were very normal people… there was some division in the group…
The group wanted to be free to hang out
But one of them stayed at the hotel didn’t like them just coming and going as they pleased

This song is SO FUCKING GOOD! No one makes music like this anymore, probably because they don't care. These days it seems like music is a paycheck. You don't have anything to say. You wrote three lines and stole/bought a beat off a popular song, and now you have a number one jam on the radio/Spotify. And if you don't, your record company will pay the appropriate individuals to ensure that you do.
Unrelated, RIP Baba Oje. More bands need someone like you.

The way the words he's saying actually ring true even more today makes me so appreciate having music like this as a child. I knew what he meant even when i was younger, and carry it in my head and my heart till this day. Beautiful song for the sad state of our society. Yet a glimpse into the beauty humanity can convey, even in the darkest times.

I miss these days! When this came out, I was a gnarly skate punk here in Southern California. This cassette was then purchased in CD form. CD form went to vinyl form, which eventually lead to digital form. I’ve absolutely loved Arrested Development from that day I bought it on cassette when it made its debut.

This album still sounds amazing all these years later. Yes the lyrics are great but maaaan, the productions is seriously underrated on this album, some classic beats!

There was a late night British TV show in the 90's that featured music videos chosen by a famous guest presenter, I remember the athlete Kriss Akabusi referring to this song as Mr. Window. He even went into detail about how clever it was.
      Maybe I dreamed it.

There are so many subtle gems of messages in this video while it's main point is obvious. Look closely at the brother at the 1:45 mark. VERY serious look with the indention made on his left cheek. And shown right after Speech lyrics about "blacks spending all their money on colleges and coming out confused". That serious look of the brother distinguished by that indention in right cheek. I know that look, it usually came from someone who didn't say a word, but gave me that look with indention on his cheek. That says "you f-cked up"!
