This game was my first true introduction to One Piece. What was yours?
yeah me too my little brother got my ps4 at the time and he was in town and got my ps4 and he got me one piece pirate warriors 3 on ps4 and wow great game.
Heyyyy I was going to say the exact same thing. It's a really good Musou. Some of the tracks from the ost were also surprisingly great
Mine was the 4 kids dub from years ago. And then I just kind of dropped out of the series after that point and only occasionally hear about it with friends.
We need the ost on Spotify! It's so good!

I have this game on 3 different consoles because I first bought it digitally on PS3, then when I got a PS4 I transfered over my save to that version. When the switch version was released I bought the physical version for collection purposes since it includes all the dlc.
This is my favorite entry. Unlike almost every other One Piece game were they are like "remember this, remember that?" but no one dare to tell you the entire story of the manga, this game is the only one who did it, not even PW4 dared to do so. Not only that, the gameplay is pretty good, the roster is amazing and the amount of content is insane, I really love this game and every One Piece fan out there should play it.
This comment has nothing but truths.
Let's also not forget the absolute GODLINESS that is this game's OST. Specifically "Let's Put This Matter Under"/"Let's Lie In This Case", "Pass Through Lightning" and "I Want to Live".
They all have great OSTs, but this is by far the best out of the four.
Strike the Hyena and Young and Reckless with their trumpets are god tier.

I’ve always wanted to get into One Piece but never have for some reason. I just got this for 6 bucks on the psn store. It’ll be my first time experiencing anything One Piece
Thank you so much for going into the PC controller issues! Every time I told someone about it I was brushed off with "Remap it then" but having someone else state the same issue and WHY it happened is really refreshing. I was pretty sad that I couldn't enjoy this game because I can't really afford to pick up more consoles for these games.
The PS5 experience with this game is really good. It's worth it if you want to play games like DW8, SW4, OPPW3, or other Warriors games at top quality. There's only a handful of PC ports that are that much better imo.
Just use steam overlay to remap controller settings, basically to emulate some keyboard buttons on your gamepad, the ones not being recognized by the game.
I have 150h on the Switch version. Finished to 100%.
Maybe one day, when I have a PS5, I'll take the PS4 version for another shot. Because it's a pretty good musou.
I love this game. im actually trying to get my brother to play this to get him the run down of one piece thanks to all the content it covers. i am missing one trophy away from platinum it. also you are correct in that the original story at the end is because the arc was still happening at the time

13:00 You don’t need to do the entire dream log, just that specific level with him. In order to play that level again, you’ll have first play the level where you face all the staw hats, tough. You might wanna do that since it changes Teech's moveset.
The characters Choices are amazing
You know seeing the characters from this game dressed up in the cross over outfits from dynasty Warriors and samurai Warriors really makes me mad that we never got anything like that for fire emblem Warriors even for 3 hopes. I'm still salty about that along with the fact that for some reason 3 hopes didn't get any DLC at all. Anyway this was a good starting off point for the pirate Warriors series but it's not the one that I played the 1 I played is the final 1 at least for the most part. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on that 1 Chris!
Really, we should have got cross-over DLC costumes in all spin-offs. Could you imagine Guts in Lu Bu's outfit in Berserk or Link with Zhao Yun's in Hyrule Warriors?

I own every Warriors game that's been released on at least one console. Been playing a lot of Samurai Warriors 5 off stream lately. Preparing for some new videos post #MusouMay. 👀
Honestly, PW3 is by FAR my favourite of the 4, but the two things that bothered me were 1. The ! system, and 2. The fact how heavily censored the cutscenes were. I know they had to do the censoring for the sake of rating, but the ! system just feels so annoying. The fact that I actively have to avoid hitting enemies so my crew mates can hit them with their follow-up attacks, adds a layer of almost “holding back” the fun of letting loose and going all out. (At least, if you care about getting those juicy S Ranks) And while yes, you can use your Kizuna Rush, you also have to be careful and save your Kizuna rush so you can beat a certain character with the Kizuna Special

PW3 is the best so far from me, I love one piece, and this game is such a masterpiece for a warriors tittle

Imo it is great, maybe not as good, but still great and enjoyable game, mostly new dlc
The switch port is peak; Handheld MUSOU supremacy.
I somehow got the PC port to function properly with an Xbox One controller using various steam community layouts and texture mods for the button icons, it was a hassle to set up and there are still plenty of graphical bugs, atleast on my amd card, along with the dated ps3 graphics, wish the game got a better pc port so I could enjoy it more. I'm playing DW8XL on pc now, but even then it doesn't look as good as the PS4 version. Hoping Warriors Orochi 3/4's pc ports are atleast decent as I'll probably get one of those next.
I can confirm that WO3 and 4 looks just as good as the PS4. With WO3 though, the PS4 didn't get updated textures. Just in resolution. You can't go wrong with PC for either from what I've played.
@@ChrisGildart sweet! good to hear, steam's remote play feature lets me and my girlfriend play together online and we've been having a blast with DW8XL so hearing WO4's port is good is great news. Also I've just finished the video, it was really great! I remember your PW4 video and am excited to see whats next for musou may :)
I haven't quite decided what next year's theme will be, but I've got a few options to tackle.
I bought it for the Switch lite because it was cheaper on sale. On PS4 even on sale it's more expensive to get all the same content. Plus it's a good "on the go" game.
I got the complete edition on the Switch for £15.
Doinf research on this game to see if I should get it on Switch. I do love the series
It does run pretty well on Switch. Obviously it looks and runs better on PS4, but you can't go wrong with the Switch version.

This was the best one piece game until pirate warriors 4 came out.
If you are playing on steam. You need to have support for whatever controller you are using enabled.
And in some cases you may nees to manually config the buttons in steams controller map.
The PC version being ported from the fucking PS Vita was such a kick in the balls, but still played the everliving shit out of this on Steam.
I miss the lv up bar more than anything ngl

A lil upset NO ONE is talking about the co op.. Been searching and searching for how to play online with a friend through story mode. Idk if no one knows but for the ppl hoping to play with a friend through the story for the first time for the both of you, it’s not happening. One of you (preferably the visitor) has to have beaten the game first or you’ll get message saying “____ player has not cleared or does not meet requirements”. I feel like for a muso game this has to be essential information that’s being ignored or atleast not explained.
The only co-op I've played is local, so I had no idea about this.

Oppw 3 was a great game but pc version (steam) plagued with game breaking bugs like slowdown, missing texture, black screen during cutscene, hard crash especially on the last stage. I've tried many fixes but problems still happen time to time so if you wanna enjoy this dont get it on pc.
I never experienced those bugs, but only played through the first arc. I thought it was just the graphics and controls that were an issue.
@@ChrisGildart The first arc was fine for me too but problems arise at 2nd arc and get worst on dressrosa stage.

@@ChrisGildart Yeah for some reason at certain points in the game (with the biggest issues for most people coming from marineford and dressrosa) they straight up just did not include the video files for several cutscenes in the PC release so you'll get black screens when those cutscenes play or in certain instances where it's a pre-mission scene it will just boot you back to the main menu when trying to start the mission.
Musou games have definitely had a mixed history with ports but OPPW3 is easily the single worst one they've ever done. Someone playing on PC would legitimately just have a more stable experience emulating one of the other versions of the game than they would playing their own native version lmao.
I played a couple of stages on the switch (ps4 version is a pain to find) and felt it was sluggish. Not sure if cuz it’s switch or ive been spoiled by the recent fast paced musous (fire emblem, warriors Orochi 4, samurai 4). Looking forward to part 4. I already own it on PS4.
Perona was my favorite :)

PW3 fails in the most important thing in a Warriors title for me, which is the battlefield flow, strategic layer, or however you want to call it. And it's still on my top 5 Warriors titles, it's so good and so much fun, and there's always something to do. When I want to just see colors pop up on my screen, this is the game I go to.
Man I'm going to have to look up the cliff notes on this one your complaining about graphics really turned me off. As some who does not care about graphics like at all (in fact my favorite games of all time people would say ugly graphics wise) and graphics are not something I take in to consideration when looking at a game I might buy so yeah the moment you started talking about graphics I just couldn't sit through it
I had zero problems playing PW3 and I have no idea what people are talking about. Played it on two very different pcs with win7 and win10, both are low-end budget rigs. Zero crashes.
Xbox360-gamepad worked perfectly, if fact I use this controller for 12 years and I never had problems with it. Maybe people should stop installing tons of shitty software and malware on their pcs, so you wont have conflicts. Buying cool pc for moms 4000$ and hope that everything will work is not enough.
And yes the port is lazy crap.
PW3 does have problems with controller, even if you use PS3/PS4 controller
and the port is from PSVITA/PS3, don't know why, but have a time koei port games to pc likes this, SW4-II is the same, if you comparete to the PS4 Version it look really ugly
For me it was the horrible visuals, no support for 1440p and 4, as well as the bad gamepad layout, is why I never bought PW3 on PC, and since I don't own a PS4/5, I've no intention of ever buying it. Bamco made it clear that the only decent way of playing this game with all the bells and whistles is the PS4 version and that's a damn shame that they dropped the ball hard on that.
I do however own PW4 on PC and that does seem a step up from 3 in various ways, but you still have to fiddle around with nvidia control panel to get the game to run without freezing on my rig, and even then I also need to cap my fps, because the game doesn't natively support Gsync monitors with high refresh rates (another huge mistake from a Japanese publisher).
Easily the best in the series, bar-none.

I agree with Chris here, for those whose interested, get the ps4 version. Ps3, vita and pc version were bad unless you're a warrior franchise fan 😂
I am a Warriors franchise fan, which is why I own the game on all these consoles. lol
