I just hit the thumbs up icon before I even start the film. Henry and Carfection have set such a standard it's almost impossible for the competitors to match them.
It's natural habitat? Did you not listen to the review? It's heavy and lazy and doesn't cope any better than its smaller brother. It isn't great at all.
@@JamieR1988 I own one. Heavy?..Yes it has some weight to it. But lazy? Absolutely the furthest thing from the truth sir. I've not driven a Ranger Raptor to compare & contrast the differences, but I've sure put my Raptor through the ringer & no where did it disappoint.
As someone who has owned - and offroaded - a 2017 SCAB for 4 years now, this was a very fair review. The rattling only really happens offroading - do it a lot and you'll get an occasional rattle on road; nothing a bit of electrical tape won't fix. I was super excited for the paddles but rarely use them. They do have situations where they excel, but those situations don't arise too often. They are very nice in look and feel, however. "Use Baja 2h" comes from people who are trying to emulate $1mil trophy trucks rather than properly understand their Raptors - I've actually written a [very popular] guide to try and help relearn everyone, as 4H is how the truck is designed to be driven. The only reason you don't see 4H on trophy trucks is due to the technology not being quite there yet, but even that's changing. Regardless, the Supercab has trouble getting traction in any mode, something the heavier and longer 4 door does not seem to struggle with in this generation. The engine is very rarely the weak link, but depending on where you hit boost, "adequate" definitely could be an accurate statement. But, given what it has to drive I find it quite good, and everyone is always very impressed by it when riding along. I have some friends with Supercharged Gen 1s who can't keep up on or offroad. The turbo whistle is quite charming, for me at least. Interesting that you say the suspension is too firm - I find it too soft offroad, and that is pretty much a unanimous consensus. That said, given the wide operating margin the shocks must cover, they perform quite well. Nevertheless, they do have their quirks, and I hate how much the front pogos on hard hits. My only real complaint with my dream truck is how fragile the interior is. I love the colors and overall feel, but a light rub up against anything and you'll scuff it to the opposite color, which is extremely irritating.
I've never seen your videos, but thank you so much for coming here and doing a raptor review that our own RUclipsrs wouldn't even do. Actually beating it quite well, and thrashing around that vehicle park, even getting air time. That's insane, no one usually reviews it like that. Awesome video. I owned a 2017 Raptor Crew cab and it was a killer truck. Got it new and put 8k miles on it pretty quick. Comfortable daily and awesome fun offroad.
