- PART TWO: with a new thermal fuse installed, I test my dehydrator with some herbs. Watch part one to see where I learned how to diagnose the problem and where to buy replacement thermal fuses.
✨😄Happy New Year. Please cultivate the 👍🏼 and share. Thank you for watching 🙏🏼✨ Хобби
Heal up and keep dehydrating
Thank you! 💖 looked worse than it was 😳
YAY! Great Job!
😄🙏🏼quite happy to have it back in action. I use it a lot, especially with Walnuts and Almonds which I soak overnight in Water and then dehydrate - to make them easier to digest. Plus they taste way better too. Did a batch in the oven while waiting to repair dehydrator, they were more toasted then I prefer. 💖🌹
@@LVSpeedweLL yeah it's really hard to control your nuts in the oven remember my video about prepping Pecans? Walnuts have tons of Tannin, try rinsing them and poaching them it really brings out the essential oils. Walnuts can take a boil. 25 min then rinse with cool water and pat dry. 💖
@@interstellarconveyance4865 Poaching whoa, thank you, I will try this on my next batch. The soaking does remove the tannins, however it seems to remove some oil too; if I can retain more of the oil that’s even better. 😋🙏🏼
@@LVSpeedweLL try a 10 min blanche, the center of the nut has about 45 min boiling time before you loose everything flavor wise.
The longer they boil the less the roof of your palette wrinkles! 😂
Nice Job ! I will take repair over replace any day.
🌹Indeed, so happy it’s working again! 💖
You did put it all back together and it works! Well done!
PS: I have a similar dryer, but still works OK :-)
🌹... well, now you know it’s repairable if it ever quits! Was fun and I’m so happy to have it working again.
@@JoseSilveira-newhandleforYT :) thanks. Having so much fun making these silly videos and especially enjoying the questions and conversations with my YT family. 💖🌹
@@LVSpeedweLL Not silly and maybe useful for someone else with a similar problem - the number of equipment that stop due to thermal fuses is staggering and I hate when people throw away repairable (sometimes even working) "consumer" products.
I think I should try recording my next repair attempt, just in case it's worth posting :-)
And yes, these light conversations are fun and do bring people closer together.
@@JoseSilveira-newhandleforYT Yay, definitely record it, it will help someone; when I found the YT video of the dehydrator repair, knowing it could be fixed made my day. Dissembling and Seeing the design flaw with the thermal fuse - It actually could be made to be replaced - is just sad. Throw away society “Affluenza” just buy another one, will be coming to an end I feel; there are companies looking at building their products with more longevity and the end in mind.
By the way, I did see haunted box video you posted, so I know your videos will have humor and suspense in them. :)
@@LVSpeedweLL Yes, manufacturers went all through the non-repairable route, with many of them taking advantage of the use of microprocessors, to implement planned obsolescency, and all these companies call themselves green and boast defense of all environmental causes - hypocrites! The EU is discussing presently legislation on the right to repair, but I believe it's a smoke screen, once they are all cozy with the large manufacturers and wont trick them with a law that can't be bypassed on technicalities.
The haunted box was a joke for my daughter to show her nieces, wasn't meant to be more than that, but thanks :-)
