I have a Hamilton Beach grill,I had to flip it over and remove (4) screws and there is the fuse wrapped in a heat sleeve . Thanks for sharing your knowledge
There is a reason you don't see these things soldered. Solder melts when heated. Also if you heat these too much they can weaken or even blow. I would also strongly advise against just twisting them. You need a good crimp rated for the application.
You still can solder it for better contact but wrap wet tissue on the fuse to reduce temp to the fuse. It is important for high watts applications like grill 3000 watts. Weak contact can cause fire
Steel melts when heated too. The actual question is: "at what temperature"? Typical non-lead solders melt at higher temperature than most thermal fuses.
The question is why they don't make appliances with replaceable fuses (no soldering needed). It used to be the case in the past. Fuse replacement is cheap, but they make it difficult, and most people would buy a new appliance rather than repair themselves or send it to a costly repair service.

FUSE ORIENTATION (for SEFUSE SF type thermal fuse) Lead A is the black ceramic end. "If lead B of the SF-type, which is caulked to the metal case, is mounted in such a way that it only conducts heat to the metal case, the temperature around the thermal pellet would always be higher than other parts in the metal case. Thermal fuses should be installed using a seamless butt splice, just as they are originally. NO solder or twisting wire - very dangerous! All thermal fuses are rated for 10 amps maximum, which is probably why they failed, not from overheating.
Mostly correct, however, all thermal fuses are not rated the same. Some are 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 16, 20 amp or maybe more and can be found on Amazon. That said, THANK YOU! My 1500w 120v grill had a 10 amp G4 fuse in it from the factory, and it blew. After replacing it with same, the replacement blew when the grill was pulling 1350w or 11.3 amps. At full load of 1500w, it would have pulled 12.5 amps. I would call this either poor engineering/design or built-in obsolescence.
I discourage anyone from using solder to emplace these, both to not damage the "fuse" and shorten it's life and as solder can melt for some of the higher temperature models.

If the manufacture has it soldered use solder if it has splice caps or crimps use those. Maintain the UL listing and you will be ok.
Hmmm not gonna lie, soldering is REQUIRED for optimal connection. Twisting cables around a metal wire is not enough to handle high currents.
Soldering might not be possible because the environment gets hot enough during normal operation conditions for the solder to melt.

Can we bypass thermal fuse and run air fryer ?
Sure!
You could also possibly burn your house down.
I wish, I had watched this video before throwing away my pressure cooker as well as multi cookers.

I discourage anyone from using solder to emplace these, both to not damage the "fuse" and shorten it's life and as solder can melt for some of the higher temperature models.
Have not seen it happen in real life. A decent solder job that is quick and not too close to the fuse works.
definitely make sure the fuse is secured. This is very bad advice.
