You can now encounter the Triumvirate normally, after the Big Big Run. There’s now a small chance that you encounter it when you get an emergency wave. Note! I heard someone else say this. It may not be true, but I’m pretty sure it is. It makes sense, because the SplatNet app has a counter for how many times you’ve dethroned a Triumvirate and there’s a badge for it.
I know so many people were like “where was all this good kit design in previous seasons”, but this is the same situation to me where a massive majority of Splatoon 2's strongest kits were some of the last added to the game (name a kensa prefix weapon and there's a 50% chance it was meta). A lot of the time the heavy hitters are the very last kit additions.

@@yoursnatchedweave641 I understand the sentiment but generally especially for first kits and early second ones they kinda just have to cram every special and sub onto things, obviously leaving some room to swap stuff before they do drop (e.g. basically all of S2's 2nd kits were entirely in the files for the entire lifespan before they dropped and changed basically on a consistent basis update to update before said kit released). By the end, they have a generally decent distribution and can then see where to give a few more where needed (e.g. basically every special below the count of 7 besides booyah bomb and missiles got a new kit in this update).
i remember reading a comment that said that they ran out of bad kits to give so they had to start giving good kits, and im convinced that's the only logical explanation lol
Another really cool part about the final catalog image is that they also appear to be in the shape/formation of a heart, which is really cute of them to do for it :)
Salmon run is such a weird thing to acknowledge in this season cuz while everything they added was cool. It’s basically a limited time event that’s over already (except for the roller). For all we know big big run may never happen again and we don’t know how they’ll handle triumvirate in the future. It’s really good stuff but i wish there was just more everlasting stuff. Stuff that just isn’t lock behind certain times that can be accessed more frequently.
Ok, mine are tetras. Honestly I find dapples are worst, then the squelchers, splat dualies, dousers then gloogas with tetras being my favorite (grinding for that last star on the light tetras, did the darks a while ago). Still, a fellow dualie main is a dualie main.

K52, KPro, KShot, and a majority of others in S2's final metas were also some of the final weapons added to the game so I think that is pretty par for the course for “we're making strong kits at the very end of the game” with this series lol
Personally, this was by far the best season for Splatoon 3. It did sooo many things right and not much wrong. My favourite additions have to be: -Necessary buffs to my Stringers + adding a new Stringer that is fun and threatning. - Maps now feeling better to play on when it comes to movement and cover. Also, they are now a bit more aesthetically pleasing thanks to the changes to the blocks. - The Grizzco Roller. Just.....everything about it makes me feel like a kid on a sugar rush. If they does end up being the last season, im glad it could end on a banger.
I'm so sad it's the last season, man. These weapons were super fun to use in battles and Big Run too, everyone is talking about Splatoon 4 already in the future but who knows. Now we have Summer Nigts Splatfest to look forward to coming soon. 🦑
Based on other videos, I don't believe S4 will be coming anytime soon. In my opinion it would be frankly idiotic to already pump the game out. I hope they give it a minimum of 2 or 3 more years before they do big reveals.
@@Goobilicous I agree with this. My opinion is that there have been videos and rumors about being a fourth game but I doubt it too. Honestly the end of the road is a better route for all of us. Plus it's still early for another Splatoon game.
I will say what I've said on other videos. The changes to splash wall were likely not in any regards to meta or top-tier weapons like squeezer or 52gal. If you notice, every weapon that was buffed to deal more damage to splash wall is a short range weapon. It is far more likely that the devs thought that splash wall was too effective against short range blitzing weapons than any sort of addressing of squeezer or 52gal (or even lower tier).
I'm expecting the devs to drop a few more patch notes to fix some things but overall this season is pretty great and the final Big Run was a banger, loved the new Triumvirate boss mix and I hope we get more of it in normal rotations.

i think surely they’ll do one more update in august/september, for 3rd kits (sheldon’s picks/kensa weapons), and it’ll finish off the 2 years worth of updates they said
@@Neoxon619 They say it, but another reason on top of that was probably because in Splatoon 1 and 2 they could pad out a lot of the weekly content with stuff that was already finished and in the files (a lot from day one), or stuff like weapons that were in the previous game that should've been there at launch in S2's case. But yeah, I don't expect them to go back to the old way ever, especially when S2 already ended with moving more into the “bigger drops on a longer interval” by the time the 3.0s started.
If this is the end of new content, im ok with it. I do hope they dont stop events though. There's no reason why they can't repeat seasonal Splatfests and Big Runs going forward indefinitely
I can understand the split in special weapons honestly. Splatcolour screen and triple splash down are the newest specials, of course they’re gonna be low in numbers! Also, tenta missiles was kinda broken, so its good to limit it to 5

the only problem i have with mist on the trash brella is the ink consumption. you can't start a fight with it, and it doesn't really do anything to enemies already in the mist. it's area denial is decent, but a lot of times i'd even take dart over it

It did bother me to see a lack of weapons with Fizzy Bomb and Torpedo. Especially since it was introduced late in Splatoon 2's life and I would think with Splatoon 3, more weapons would get it to fully take advantage of how many weapons it would greatly fit with. I prefer the fizzy bomb more though. I am still hoping for 3rd kits in the next season or 2 just like in Splatoon 1 and 2.

It would make sense. I think they might do more seasons and/or catalogues, but I believe most people are saying there just might not be anymore big content. Also, people are following the timeline of previous splatoon games, meaning they will do 2 full years of content updates. I'm with you, they have not announced that this is the last season (although RUclipsrs are defo using it for clickbait) and I'm hoping people don't start begging for S4 already. Games not even 2 yet.

I think that we’re going to get a Drizzle Season 2024 and a Chill Season 2024 to end the game, as there are still weapon variants that haven’t been added yet. Like Fresh Squiffer and Bamboozler 14 Mk 3 for example. So I think that if we’re going to get a Drizzle Season 2024 and a Chill Season 2024, returning weapon variants will be added.

Me personally I found the gear a lil underwhelming this season (the eye mask goes so hard tho) but I don’t think any catalogue will be worse than fresh season 2024,, those cycling outfits were jsut so ugly😊
My personal thoughts: Finally, after 2 whole years of updates, we have turned Splatoon 3 from an unfinished game into the starting point for every other shooter game. And we are most likely not getting anything new.

Me personally I found the gear a lil underwhelming this season (the eye mask goes so hard tho) but I don’t think any catalogue will be worse than fresh season 2024,, those cycling outfits were jsut so ugly😊

They need to do away with kits. We should have more options for the weapons we like. We should be able to carry 2 weapons as well
My personal thoughts: Finally, after 2 whole years of updates, we have turned Splatoon 3 from an unfinished game into the starting point for every other shooter game. And we are most likely not getting anything new.
S3 has more content at launch than most shooters do nowadays. S2 literally started out just like S3, but worse.
