I went to Washington with the Crips when Raymond and Tookie joined forces at the theater on Westen and Umperial in 1970. They were called the Crips then, not Cribs. Those dudes that did the killing at the Palaidum in 1972 all went to Washington. Cops are at the school the next day and arrested Conrad, Bub, and a few others who are still alive, so I won't mention their names. They beat the dude over his leather coat, and his father was a famous and politically connected black attorney. The kid went to Dorsey High, This was in 1972 and when we went to play sports at Dorsey that year, there were lots of cops around.
The name of the theater at Western Ave and Imperial was called the Rio Theater. Security was provided by members of the Black Karate Federation (BKF), whose studio was located at Western Ave and 103rd St. Crips never caused any trouble at the Rio out of respect for the BKF. Many of the BKF members also attended Washington High School, home of many of the Westside Crips. Some members of the Westside Crips would even come to the BKF studio and watch the karate practices. They never caused any problems with or at the BKF.

J telling his stories again could incite violence, and we have enough that already.
you mean jimel barnes?
Good looking @kevmac we need this!!
These are interviews on history, things that won't be talked about in most circles.. I watch all of these and love everyone of them. And much love to these men that went thru one side and came out the other
Still kicking and breathing telling truths..
If you watch in this order you can probably get a relatively complete idea of LA black street culture history
Kev Mac videos(Bird series) - Bastard of the party(HBO doc) - Kev Mac videos (Craig monson) followed by (hawk, AC, pookie)... You should be able to take it from there.
Bravo Kev Mac, you did something that many have tried but not accomplished. I'll rewatch this stuff forever. Thanks for the content man the world needs it
Love your videos cuZzo from a Memphis Raymond Crip view...you don't hold no punches 120% raw facts keep doin yo mojo💪🏾💙💯🌏

Great compilation Kev. Has anyone else, other than AC, been able to verify the influence that Victor Adams had on Raymond and other folks in the neighborhood?
I can’t speak to anyone verifying anything but I personally haven’t talked to anyone that agrees.
@@KevMacVideos Craig seemed clear in his memory that Raymond walked with a limp..."Get out of here you ole crip!"
You got one hell of a movie here brother.
🗣This compilation was FIRE beloved✊🏽
Brother Kev Mac you have to get this stuff on Tv or the big screen!
Who what when and where does it happen. I’ve always been slept on and Kev Mac Videos is no different.
@@KevMacVideos You got to create a Pilot and shop it. I know 50Cent or at least Dame Dash would pick it up
@@uncclelocc been meeting with every major network nobody wants this type of material the only two interested are CNN and History Channel. They want big name people who are already rich and they want Hollywood material not the real history from the streets.
@@KevMacVideos This La/COMPTON Crip history impacted not only LA/COMPTON but the world!
You out doing your self with each video. Props
@ KEV Mac .. GREAT BODY OF WORK .. YOU GOT ALOT OF VALUABLE CONTENT ..
This is incredible
Thank you kev!
That year book so old its a scroll 📜 now
Classic episode. I can see the direction this is going
This Cold Kev 🥶
Keep em coming big homie! We love your work! ....A respectable shout out to my brother Lil Ejay from 98 Main Street, Rat Capone, Dell Dog, and OG Turtle from Santana Blocc!
I believe OG Craig Monson on how the Crip name/gang got started!! You gotta think about how the sting of rejection of Raymond not getting into Avenues and the altercation between him and Monson fueled his ambitions. Especially after what Monson said to belittle him. This story sounds the most accurate. 💯
monson has a book to sell
i don't believe him
Wow! That's very strong and powerful story! Man
Love Big Mac u the man best thing on RUclips
Mad respect
OG Kev Mac gon make sure the misinformed representers get that knowledge 💯
Should make a tv show out of all these stories
You can talk all the shit you want about the toxic side of Gang Life in Cali but you still got to respect the fact its a culture and has a Story, Thank Brothers like Kev Mac for bringing us these stories!!
Damn good work Kev!!!!
AC's story makes the most sense, Raymond was walking with a limp, then he wasn't.
Maybe Raymond was already emulating a little of Victors Adams G stroll when he met Craig?
@@1judauhn that's what it seems to me.
Kev Mac This is Amazing 💙💣💥💯
Another epic one 👍👍👍
I’m ready for this one
@Kev Mac YOU ARE TRULY THE GREATEST 💙💪🏽
This is a part of history that needs more attention. Thank you for making this documentary, it was enjoyable and enlightening.
