How The Crips And The Bloods Actually Work | How Crime Works Marathon | Insider
Dying over a street you don’t own and your mom pays rent for a house on, is insane to me.
Yeah until you live there. You 12 years old and people shootin at you on yo way home from school just because they saw where you get off the bus at. Not just kids yo age but grown men too. You getting jumped and chased and guess what? Your friends from the neighborhood are the only ones trying to protect you help you and take you in. Now they'll do this just once. Then they'll let you know they already shootin at you for being from here, you might as well get put on anyway. We got your back but we can't keep putting our self on the line for you, you have to participate. At that point you are obligated. That's a cold decision at 12 years ol right? Welcome to LA.
its insane but its also protection and a way of life in these communities. Our own government is responsible for a lot of the issues. growin up near all of this, you realize that a lot of em are trapped in the cycle
@@bruh1077 So is stealing Jay Z bars.
@@ho11ywood81 I did grow up around all of that. Ain’t no excuse. I think it comes down to bad parenting & failure of adults around the child.
Nonetheless basic logic behind it is nonexistent.
And when the eviction notice comes? They pack up and move out. So where is all this macho protect the community nonsense? It's only against other young men of color. Gangs are inherently racist, and are among the most racist groups in American history. If you are murdered because you are black there's not much difference if it's the Klan or the guys who live a mile away and look like you -- you are being murdered because you are a young black man. By body count every year young men of color murder more young men of color than the entire history of lynching and illegal police murders. Every year.
(I respect when the Mexican Mafia ordered all the Latino street gangs in Los Angeles to meetings. They ordered that drive by shootings be stopped. The rules are elaborate (you have to close the car door when you get out...) The penalties were brutal. The police thought they were just trying to consolidate the drug business. I don't know. What I do know is the killings dropped, completely uninvolved people were safer.)
I respect this man, but going over and over all the gang stuff, the signs, the shootings... just teaches it to other young men and boys. The people in my community know the difference between those who show young people other opportunities and those who lead with the 'war stories,' and then after all the excitement... But don't you do it.
Look at the example of Northern Ireland. After 30 years of sectarian violence, the majority of people were finally heard: Stop it. Settle the political issues of Northern Ireland by protecting civil rights, agreeing to a path for possible change -- and then everyone got on with trying to do better, education, jobs, community. The only and best way forward is education, skills, jobs. Why don't we hear from a plumber, an accountant, a nurse, a doctor from these communities? How did someone grow up surrounded by this violence and avoid it? What are the reading lists and education stories of young people who succeeded?
Glad I looked up the prior videos to find out this is just a re-upload of 2 older videos
bro i swear to god its like 7 videos now, they will use same clips with other gang videos they have, leave certain ones out and act as if its fresh.
times must be tough for insider
What if they joined forces and became the Brips?
The Croods
They would be Blips
The lgBloodtq community
There’s hella crips that are allied with bloods lol
How do you buy a gun from a rival gang? Hey homie, that gun you shot at me yesterday was amazing, can i buy it from you 😂
Gangs are stupid
groundbreaking statement, Larry.
Gangs are communities like any group trying to survive ,only different rules
Gangs are mental illness
@@55time3 nah they're scum and not like other communities
They usually get founded to protect a community but then greed turns them evil. Be it bloods, crips or police departments, money and power makes them a public threat.
Recently had a detective from a gang unit ask to see our cameras. Apparently there was a blood on blood shooting around the corner from my house where I raise my two kids. We’re praying for yall.
Most of the time it’s like that. the red v blue thing isn’t even the main beef today hoods matter way more than a color some hoods even have hybrid gangs
Reagan was governor of California too. Never forget that the people running California in the 80s were still associated with him.
All this conflict, was directly from him and his policies.
💯
When the former Crip member started to explain the Freeway rick ross situation, it would have been pretty interesting info he was sharing if it hadn't been shortened. How the DEA supplies(d) the communitites to further supress African American cultures within the united states.
"Its everyone else's fault, not ours"
So the government suppress black people and the black people then make gangs and shoot each other...makes complete sense...or in reality it's just an excuse for bad behaviour
@@Tepaneca Amen, that’s always their response!
yall should stick with the panthers man... u've been played by the fbi.
I need caffeine. I thought that said "The Bloops."
Spoiler alert:
They dont
Its a documentary called 'slipping 10 years with the bloods' on RUclips or Tubi
(A really good documentary) a closer look into the R20s in the 90s
RIP CK Man
This man is pretty cool he could help people alot
I remember when I thought all Bloods was one army with one leader and same with Crips. I then found out it's bunch of different gangs within and realized this is even more dumber than I thought. It's like finding out it's twenty different Walmart corporations.
People love to make off shoots of a main idea.
It's more like a franchise that lost its mother company.
My girlfriend from back in the 70's, lived on 68th, between Vermont & Menlo.
Is this info still relevant for LA? Most of South LA and Compton is Latino these days. The CRIPS and Bloods have little influence in LA these days.
He's explaining his past life
Also music genre hip hop is tied in gangsta rap you may be interested blood or crip hop am sure you're familiar with big snoop dogg maybe
Slob and crab mindsets 💯
Gangs are lame af
I could tell cousin's not as tied in as he thinks Tookie Williams did not create the west side crips.
You could try getting a hold of bro and am sure you'll get your point across
Talking about how it helps his community then talking about how they are giving grade schoolers crack to sell
You guys should bring on a black hat hacker for one of these
I grew up and was in high school on the W. Side until 82. Times were wild. I left about the time they started building everything for the Olympics and creating the 105 fwy. I still count my blessings I survived those years doing what I was doing and I’ve been given the opportunity to live as long as I have. Most of those I messed with back then including some of my family are no longer with us
32:00 they really used Korn video footage 🤣
Instead of wasting their time with gangs, they could get a job and make money 🤨
Reupload already ? Ya'll should add that to the description
beautiful ❤...these men are amazing
True insecurities and lack of integrity
Thank you Sir for educating the viewers. ✌️
In 1976, my first summer job was at Mt Carmel High School, on 70th & Hoover.
Great to see such well spoken O.G
The don’t work …. Try to give them a job application watch
Well...as a white guy from the Detroit burbs, that has never seen a gang in my 56 years of life, I really thought all crips or all bloods were all one group. Why would the same gang war against themselves? As stupid as gangs are, that is next level ignorant.
Love the fact that they reached out to the LAPD to talk about the allegations of corruption and police brutality, but not to talk about all the positive steps he also said that the LAPD have been taking.
Crip never originally meant that. That's an acronym that was attached much later in the game.
Being a member of a gang is so dumb.
If some of you are a fan of GTA San Andreas, this is for you...
I understand what you saying cuz I've been through the same situations but I'm not going to put it down on line and telling people that is if they can't understand it then I'm not going to tell them this
All that energy going to being in a gang instead of doing something productive in life for what? For an image, look at you never owning anything and dying for a neighborhood nobody cares for
Blood and Crips - Bangin' On Wax. Some amazing music, makes you want to join a gang.
I believe it does take all this away from them
I wish middle schoolers up could see this video. Street Education Important ✌️
Really eye opening
No winners except for ppl like Trump. 😂😂😂
Too weak to stand on your own. I just wanna know why they get out of prison early.
Where you from homie
