That 1977+ crew before and during the Infamous Crip on Crip wars that sound like Vietnam type stories in the deadly streets of south Los Angeles before the love and leadership corroded like rusty metal and anybody with an assault rifle could turn into a killer- skyrocketing the murder count throughout the county. Watching this interview is literally like watching Sanyika Shakur and Monster Kody talk back and forth. It's like the revolutionary half of him and the street half are constantly conflicting
Indeed both sides are conflicting constantly, but that's what I think makes him more human and easier to relate to. I pray he finds his peace one day 🙏🏾
Dude compares himself and his peers water free plants that are still able to grow regardless of that, beautifully poetic metaphor. He really did himself a disservice by not continuing with his writing, respectfully speaking he could have been a great novelist.
Seriously, no bullshit. This brother has so much information in his spirit. That’s one reason he can’t seem to stay on topic, yet he’s deadly on topic. He’s the one the system never wants to set free. They hope another 10 thousand never get a clue as to what Kody is really teaching. Love this interview.

Wow! Shout out to Mr. Olympia Sergio Olivia. R.I.P And it was a pleasure to have met him and every time I ran into him he’d always have a smile on his face. And I am grateful to be able to see this interview with Cody. I was sent to a last of the line work program type of school that was for the youth that were kicked out of High school and on probation. I had one book report to do and the book that I had unintentionally picked was “Monster” which was about this mans early life in a California gang which opened my eyes and helped lead me to not follow and join a gang but instead I decided I would be the master of my own life and put God and Family before all things. Thanks for uploading the video and I’m sending many blessings to you all behind the channel and especially a Cody. Love!
I had to go back and watch this again. You came into my life when your book came out and I first read it in 93 all the way to me being 43yrs old now. I’ve read it countless times since then and still break it out and start it once again. Thank you for the many lessons and the truth you gave us. I don’t care what your detractors and haters will say. You were gone too soon for me, I know you had many more books in you. Much more truth and lessons. RIP big homie. Sanyika Shakur=Custodian on the land/nation Shakur=very appreciative deeply grateful.

"To an antenna on the roof?" "Get em out of here , Jim" I could listen to his days of reminiscing over and over never get tired of it. His vocabulary and memory with his style its just hypnotizing. Absolutely love Sanyika Shakur's plant analogy! Humans have so much in common with plants. We begin as seed with a particular genetic profile, dropped into the specific soil of our environment, and grow (and die) accordingly. Too many humans have an illusory view of free will, believing each of us are truly the sole navigator of our world, when in reality, things are far more determined. We all are the product of our genes and bio-rhythms, our social environment in all its complexity or simplicity, and the stimuli we encounter To break free is to truly transcend our humanity, a feat of gods...That said, it seems that the phenomenon of consciousness does offer us each a tiny escape-hatch from predetermined destiny should we choose to risk opening it and accept the uncertainty of real freedom.

Thank you sir I appreciate the comment.
Kev Mac Videos I’m only being honest, bro. 🙌🏽
Big facts. The Key to the success is Big Kev's ability to connect with all Reputable community legends. Bloods/Crips alike.
Kev Mac-nificent.
I see it as a tool for Unity. You see how all us are United in learning about all the stories about BrotherHoods/Sets and their individual histories? Ameen. Affiliates- Non Affiliated, Active-Non Active all United in watching Kev Mac Videos.. fasho... peace and Love
Watching this interview is literally like watching Sanyika Shakur and Monster Kody talk back and forth. It's like the revolutionary half of him and the street half are constantly conflicting
That's deep!!!!!
Indeed both sides are conflicting constantly, but that's what I think makes him more human and easier to relate to. I pray he finds his peace one day 🙏🏾
Shoutout to Kev Mac I just subscribed. I just finished reading this dude book WOW 😳😳 Amazing. Rip to Monster Kody!
“With the 20 inch cragers and probably holding the 8 track with his hand so he keep the same song playing”. 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
🐐 A RSC interviewing Monster Kody who would ever would of imagine this
Dude compares himself and his peers water free plants that are still able to grow regardless of that, beautifully poetic metaphor. He really did himself a disservice by not continuing with his writing, respectfully speaking he could have been a great novelist.
horse shit
Well said. I’d love to read anything that he comes out with.
He probably read that shit in some book while he was in the hole, i dont think he did come up with that himself. He has a lot of random book knowledge
"I grew out the dirty like a cactus
I need water every 3 years" ,
Monster got some crazy way of putting things
Man I forgot how good this was. Havent seen it since it came out. Hopefully his level of consciousness continues within gang culture
May TMH bless you Kev Mac your the best at what you do as blacc men we need our own gang historian and you answer the call keep up the great work brother Westside30s #OHC #ThumsUp 👍👍 ♿♿♿

Been waiting on this since I first read the book in 93’. Kev, do yo stuff homie.
Wow! Shout out to Mr. Olympia Sergio Olivia. R.I.P
And it was a pleasure to have met him and every time I ran into him he’d always have a smile on his face.
Sanyika Shakur=Custodian on the land/nation
Shakur=very appreciative deeply grateful.
Got my bag and blunts and ready for this one Kev Mac cant wait Sheesh Northern California Love to you
One thing I always liked about Monster was that he was always able to articulate himself so well.
Crazy how a 29 min video goes by too fast when you like the content.
Rest easy Big homie, your name will forever live on
For the last 3 to 4 Days I have been watching hours of Monster Kody interviews and just now finding out he died a few days ago. RIP.
New Orleans in this bitch...
3xaCTly!
Sad if bro died in a tent. Mr. Shakur did what he had too but we have to adapt and change now. Being gangsta has no benefits. This to my peoples in LA and Chicago ya heard me
@@blueskyy43 We are all the same damn Race of people!!WTF!!
He can talk all day and never forget his point. His stories and the way he explains stuff is really interesting and great
Damn, he was a TEENAGER when he founded the NorthSide of 83 and ETGCs done stretched to Wewoka, Oklahoma deep, crazy history, keep it lit #KevMac 👍🏾

Should be normal
Man his dialogue and stories are deep he should write another book watch how many views he get kev this is already a classic
"To an antenna on the roof?" "Get em out of here , Jim" I could listen to his days of reminiscing over and over never get tired of it. His vocabulary and memory with his style its just hypnotizing. And no disrespect but It could be a story about trying to find a bathroom at the local mall and it's cool.
Over 100,000 views. That didn't take long. When Monster Kody talks... people listen.
U said it better than I ever could
You Out did yourself Kev, you let that man flow, it’s like I’m sure he got days of history stored up and just couldn’t wait to share it too people who understands. You see how he tied the cartoons into this, I didn’t think about it but he is right. I know he can’t get too deep for the show, but his knowledge is flawless. The iLL part also which is a Lost Art is WaLL Banging, that’s how you learned who was who from the walls. 🏆🏆🏆🏆✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
He smart enough to know good and bad. He likes this gangsta shit. Read his book 10 years ago. Big ups kev and kody. Bless up.
The 4 songs that Kody said Big Tookie would listen to on repeat :
Chocolate Milk - Girl callin’
George Duke - Reach for it
Frankie Beverly & Maze - Happy feelings
Marlena Shaw - Go away little boy
U forgot the big payback
David Gee FACTS! I remember hearing in some interview, I forgot which one, that one of Tookies favorite songs was James Brown - “The Big Payback”. Forgot about that one, thanx.
@@soulphonic3635 I never seen the interview but it's in his book
Monster said The Big Payback is the Original Crip song that Rookie would often listen to that while lifting weights
I know im not the only one who immediately downloded those songs and started working out....motivation....i read tookie and monsters books...very educational...poetic and powerful!

I saw in another video you commented that people were upset with you for doing Damus and Gangstas but I appreciate you researching EVERYBODY. If you don't bring these interviews they won't be right when they come out on another platform. Keep doing you Kev Mac!
Nah.... Damus and Gangstaz was getting at me foul because they feel all I interview are Neighborhood crips and Compton crips. The hate mail was getting ridiculous.
@@KevMacVideos ahhh I see - well I remember Frog and Stutterbox and Jackamoe and AC for sure in previous seasons. Can't squeeze water out of a rock, if people don't want to be interviewed thats that until people are willing to speak. Im watching whatever you put out either way!

What🙄. It’s just cartoons I’d be embarrassed to admit my mind was so susceptible that even cartoons “ brainwashed me”.
@@akandrea6731 But he is right nonetheless
@@akandrea6731 you would be surprised. Don't think that the government has these "programs" on television to simply entertain us. There's always a bigger agenda.
@KXNG GRUMP Well most of the people who watch cartoons are kids, and we know they are more suspicious to the influence of the cartoon programs. None of us were born with common sense and wisdom. It was built over long periods of time.
It's so true predictive programming in the cartoons people get hurt and they come back to life as a kid the lines between reality and real life get blurred especially when your in the Ghetto
First RUclips video I ever kept checking the clock in excitement!! If your spot wasn't solidified before, it is now!!!!
*I can listen to the Ahch ALL DAY LONG...so much wisdom gathered from experience over time. He one of the OG’s where you just sit and listen without a word. Salute, Kev Mac!* 💪🏿💯

Kev Mac Videos: I forgot to mention you. Thank you for your work man, you're very appreciated. 💪💪💪💪
I like the way you broke that down.
I like how Monsta is depicting a visual scene by way of his words, I am high as hell right now and I'll be damned if I don't picture every single thing he is saying. This shit is playing like a movie.
Salute KEVMAC.
