If you do not have a scale, you could always knead the dough, divide in half, divide in half again until you have 6 smaller doughs. Then cut each one into four pieces which will make 24 rolls in total. Thanks for sharing.

Instead of using a scale I measured using a 1/8 cup measuring spoon filled to the top twice and smooshed down like when you measure out brown sugar. Put them together into one ball and roll until round. Perfect size made 22 same size and a little tiny one. Love this recipe and many of your others .Thank You!

Tried out your recipe and it turned out awesome .but ,yes had to add a few tbsp more of flour. After kneading I let the dough rest for 15 minutes ,measured and formed the dough ,placed on the baking tray and then let it rise for one hour + .baked for 18 minutes .and it really turned out wow .Thank u for this perfect recipe. I made this recipe many times in the past. Today, on Easter Sunday, I made them to bring to a family lunch and I completely forgot to add the 2 eggs. I only realized this error when I was waiting for the oven to warm up and the rolls were proofing for the second time. Well too late to add eggs at that point and I did not have time to start over. I baked them anyway and they came out perfect. Soft and so delicious! Crisis averted! 😅

so far my favorite roll recipe. I have made them twice cutting the recipe in half and i get 15 to 20 rolls. I prefer to proof my yeast for 5 min with milk n sugar before i combined everything. I like to make sure my Yeast is not dead. So tasty thank u!!

It gave me the confidence I needed to make more. My second batch tasted great however, the rolls were wrinkled on top. It didn’t affect the flavor but I wondered what I did wrong or different, to cause that. My 3rd batch was pretty good too but it had a more yeasty/almost beer like smell or fragrant. I wish I knew what I did to cause that. Anyway, I LOVR YOUR VIDEOS and recipes!!! They are so easy to follow and understand! ♥️

So I made these and wow. One batch I did Italian seasonings and anther batch garlic and the third batch plain, and I cooked them all in my pizza oven in my grilling area outside using wood. Went great with the bbq I did for my 5 year old nephews birthday party. The Pillsbury cans family brought never came out of the fridge lol Thanks 😊

Just tried these for the first time. Had high hopes because of your other recipes which are wonderful. These did not disappoint; in fact, they came out ahhhhmazing! Thank you for yet another great recipe.
I use to make challah bread in a bakery and we always add some pure pumpkin puree (pure no sugar or additives) .I was told that the pumpkin acted like a natural preservative the bread stayed fresh longer. I do not think challah is much different from dinner roll ,so you might be able to add a touch of pumpkin just add less liquid to compensate for pumpkin or some flour to it if you add same liquid with pumpkin.
My family LOVED these rolls. This recipe was so easy, I was able to make it while caring for five of my grandchildren. Every one of these grandchildren LOVED these rolls. They snacked on them all afternoon. I showed them how to rewarm them in the microwave, then slather butter over the top and enjoy. When my husband got home from work, he enjoyed two of these wonderful rolls. You have to know him, he is not one that usually goes head over hills for yeast rolls, but these he fell in love with. Needless to say, all 24 rolls were gone by supper time. Thank you for sharing this wonderful, easy recipe!

I melted too much honey and butter and used that to glaze the buns before I baked it hence the bottom of the buns stuck to the pan, but nonetheless it still was soft and delicious. 🤩 the buns were just perfect in every way (excluding my screwup) 😆.

My only question for Rachel's dinner roll recipe for quantity of 24 dinner rolls is when you use instant dry yeast for your recipe, what temperature are you using to warm your milk - 110 to 115 or 120 to 130? For active dry yeast for your dinner roll recipe what temperature range should it be? She doesn't mention it in her recipe.

I use yeast a lot in the making of ethanol. I find it far more consistent to activate the yeast with precise temperatures and wouldn't add the sugar until the yeast was activated. This will yield the most consistent co2 / ethanol output. The problem with the microwave without checking the temp is you could overheat the yeast and kill it. Although I assume a skilled cook like yourself could get really close by touch.

The reason why your bread had that smell is because you either added too much yeast or let your dough rest for to long hope that helped 😊
